Lude in Ahiara, Ahiazu-Mbaise. WHILE CIVILIZATION PREACHES MIND YOUR BUSINESS, I love how the youths come out en masse undertake communual menial tasks like road repairs ,grave digging, e.t.c. It is considered awkward to have strangers to the lamd paid to do such. I love our belief that 'Aku ruo ulo, a maata onye kpaara ya'. Irreapective of the wealth you're believed to have, if your compound shows no sign of it and none of your relations benefits from your bounty, you are still poor. I love the way the elders accomodate the younger folk to ensure the passage of our rites and traditions. At every point, young people are allowed into such settings so that they can learn and discuss with their peers. I like the way we take time to know ourselves and even foreigners inside and out. It may seem nosy but you never can tell when you will need vouching for. Finally, I like the way we compete amongst ourselves: Age groups, Educational achievements and Resources are all avenues through which we measure up to each other so that collectively, we elevate our community level. |
schumastic:I think he's married. That's exactly what I did. Paid cash three days before my traditional wedding date. Only paid the dowry (ego isi nwanyi) on the D-day and that didn't take much time. |
Alright.. I was just teaching them 'Reproductive Systems'. Gave the kids the diagrams and while writing the notes the following conversation ensued (not real names) Anita: Ehh.. Girls own fine pass boys own. Mary: Ehn.. Boys own is scatter scatter. John: Which kain..boys own fine pass jor. Anita: It's a lie. You did not see as boys own is join join. James: But girls own is hard to draw. John: Yes. See now now I have finish our own. I don't even know how to start this one. Jude: You don't know girls wahala are too much? Anita: Is you that know o. My own is that boys own is not fine. Jonn&Jude: Ehn leave it for us. ..after thinking of the right time to come in and shut them up without drawing attention to their utterances, all I could say was: "Stop making noise!" ![]() |
Please, it is good to always state the exact place they're getting married from. I also married my wife from Aboh Mbaise, Ibeku precisely, and I still have my list with me. Most of those stuffs written on yours are strange to me., |
BiafraudExposed:Be patient. The 'English Understanders' are coming to 'Like' your post. |

Wow.. Such selfless words. Sacrifices of the greed of those running this entrapment called Nigeria. |
asuustrike2009:I was referring to ANSU. Don't know about Delsu |
juicydiceyjoe:If he doesn't advertise them, who will? ![]() |
I wonder which Private Uni can school and house you for 350k for four solid academic years. Honestly, this is cheap. Although I didn't spend up to that amount during my time as a regular student, the current cost of tuition and accomodation in the same state University now is close to twice this amount here ![]() |
gensteejay:Why do you ask? In criticizing it, all the OP mentioned are norms in our society today. So, it's obvious she rendered a realistic work, not a fictitious one. |
I think the OP's trying to say the author made a realistic work. Kudos to her then |
How wouldn't they commence a new one with new ways to siphon taxpayers' money? The old project has been 'tapped' beyond resuscitation and has been abandoned for the time being. |
I have been seeing it, my guy. As seen on September 13th
|
BEENUEL:Lol.. You dey pity for them? |
Ugosample:What I am saying is that I am not part of the party pretending that Nigeria changed yesterday. Deceiving oneself is the pinnacle of idiocy. |

Perils of being a graduate Exaggerated certificates. Nothing without your brain power. |
jaxxy:Okay. So, who was the leader that effected the results of the Brexit polls recently conducted in Britain? Secondly, what has 'really' changed in the reason for the struggle? What was the difference between then and now? Thirdly, what laws does Nigeria have that makes Nigerians be the perfect judge of the validity or otherwise of a mandate? Finally, Mandela and Kanu have something in common. They both were incancerated for what they believed in. However you look at it, they incited their oppressors who used their powers to try to waver them from their cause. I do not believe there is any perfect strategy on how to 'break out' from an entrapment in every country. Nigeria is a country with third world problems; you can't expect that to change overnight when the factors that put such problems in place are still very much in existence. This is different from whites oppressing blacks. Don't expect racial backing from other countries. The crux of the matter is: the Igbofolk are riled and the government isn't taking 'democratic' steps to address the reasons. And in such a country, a revolution is the 'only' solution. I'm yet to see a law in the Nigerian Constitution that legalises revolution, so forgive me if I do not agree with your school of thought. |
FakoMaybach1:Bros, you don't know what you are talking about. Having taught in many schools in Southern Nigeria, I can tell you that you are VERY VERY HOPELESSLY WRONG. For those striving to make their kids hold his own tomorrow in this country as it is; that punishment up there is NOTHING! If you're trying to say they are all bad parents, that is another discussion for another thread. |
Rubbish thread. Where is the barbarity here? Please, stop being whom you are not. Nigeria is a country with third world problems. |

Muafrika2:This is the disadvantage of being over-reliant on 'chat language'. In the Nigerian 'official' setting, 'k' means kobo, especially as used. Waiting for someone else to interprete it as 'okay'. |
I think Mr 'mandate-assigner' should focus on 'Austrian' politics where he 'may' have an opinion that counts. Even in Austria, there are still igbos who think he is not making sense to the igbofolk. I just don't understand how these people reason. Must an 'idea' have a leader? You believe that the Change idea should be every man's mandate irrespective of political affiliations, but you find it hard to understand that the igbos are seeking a way out of this entrapment as a common goal. Go take a poll in the heart of igboland and stop relying on media hogwash whipped up by APC-sympathetics and Pseudo-igbos. In other news, I'm just trying to remember the local governments in igboland of the first three or four people on this thread that are discussing the mindset of the igbos on IPOB. ![]() |
