Still on this matter PassingShot:More facts are coming to the fore. You can see that you assumed too early. I however note that there are more reasons for his illegal detention than the IPOB issue. |
Before DSS-sympathetics realign this to suit their purpose, note that he beckoned on 'lawyers' like himself to resolve the situation. Not that what he is saying is strange though. It is hard to see a judge who doesn't favour certain lawyers; with or without the exchange of bribe. What do lawyers call it: 'favour bank' right? So, the degree and openess of it is what really makes it a crime, not its existence. It is everywhere. |
Realdeals:Assuming this outcome was not the reason for the interview. |
udumosam23:Sitting beside a woman in that interview. That woman commands the respect of World Leaders. He should have at least showed some decency. Honestly, it would require some heavy damage control to restore his image as a 'fair' president in gender matters. Your audience should determine your countenance in official matters. We all know that is a traditional Nigerian lifestyle but if he was interested in giving her a lecture, he should have done so with purpose, not aloof as if he had no regard whatsoever for the sex of the personnel beside him. |
arewafederation:I wouldn't agree with your first assertion. Aisha being involved in the political affairs of the Presidency is never the issue. The President made it clear enough during his campaign that the First Lady's office would be non-functional and that had been recorded. Havinh known the President's way of managing affairs, I think he was being nosy in the little portfolio that the first lady should be managing, the same way he is being nosy in thing he knew nothing about and should have let those appointed/experts do their jobs. No doubt, their issue is of a political nature. But having known Nigeria political climate, accusing her of trying to overthrow the President is unfounded. As for the Fayose-Aisha fiasco, I never commented on it because there is a lot of information about those that were never made public. I believe there is a real issue between them but they were just beating about the bush. That no one was nailed is proof enough. So, those actually following that sh¡t need to engage their brains. That is just a deception. The real issue had never been mentioned. |
If the President didn't know whom he would be working with, then our country's situation can be explained by the lack of preparedness of the administration for the task ahead. How can he claim the country is fantastically corrupt and that he is on a mission to eradicate it, yet open up the helms to people he knows nought about? That is, assuming we hadn't seen the faces parading about this government before. I think he and his wife have some scuffles over some political issue, hence the outburst. If people are appointed without making any effort, that is understandable. A civilian country that parades some of the most educated people on the planet had to settle for one with a very questionable SSCE as her president. That is glory despite lack of effort. That is assuming there was no favouritism in the appointment processes. We know better. It's true that Buhari scored popularity votes, hence his emergence as Nigeria's president. It is also true that a Bachelor or Divorcee would not lead Nigeria. Try as hard as you may to take Aisha off the equation. If you had erased her off the campaign stage, Buhari would never had emerged President. A man who cannot contain his family scuffles cannoy manage a haemorraging country with diverse problems. I was just analysing Jonathan's many decisions and indecisions and trying to see where the wife came all out against his rule and plans to rule. Finally, as a bachelor, I used to have the same thoughts; that a woman belongs to the kitchen. So, I really find it appalling that as old as the President is, in 2016, can still make such childish references. I would blame it solely on the Fulani version of their religion and culture. They are backward in thoughts and civilization. I don't want to think him actually stup¡d. Just imagine if a wife had been meant for domestic purposes alone, men obituaries due to stress would have its own 24-hour TV channel. Coupled with a lot of other crazies in the world. |
It's the artist, not the school. |
metallisc:Lol. A village in the SW Nigeria I once happened upon during the trip. It was a sarcastic response to that dude asking after the name of the bank. |
Power IC maybe. Carry 3k go Alaba. |
Hmm.. I am not worthy to start this matter. Let me see the opinion of the next person first. ![]() |
At this point I have to ask.. "Lady, what inspired this post' In other words, "Who ask you?" |
T.G.I.F. I'm facing the same thing now. But I specifically put on my gen that has not been serviced for quite a while now as well. Let's see who will get tired ![]() |
Smallville10:Alhaji Smallville ![]() |
I hope they have paid NCC their cash first. |
BlindAngel:It's an automatic process. But to speed it up, you have to fully charge, disconnect it and use it till it drops. Switch it on again and let it go off. Then charge it up again |
BlindAngel:Since it's a new battery, your phone is yet to calibrate it. Until then, it will read based on the old one that it is used to. |
I will recommend what I use to you. It's called System Night Mode. I will attach screenshots so you see how it works. 1 is the home panel where you can turn it on or off. 2 is the quick access on the notification panel. Now, I use level 20 at night, which is far lower than the lowest my phone display settings has. Other apps I will recommend are Greenify and All-in-One Toolbox. They help prevent apps from autostart and running in background. Another thing I do is, except I'm downloading or watching videos, I put my network on EDGE.

Is this Nigeria? I see french on every writing. |
PassingShot:Well, it's a lame response to you because you do not believe the modus operandi of the DSS is wrong in any way. It makes much sense to me because I've already seen the actions of the DSS from the onset as being illegal. At the end of the day, it's a matter of what is right and what is wrong before the law, not our individual perceptions. |
jaymejate:Ogbomosho Microfinance Bank, Okitipupa ![]() |
The picture is not matching the story other than the bank part ![]() |
And who's taking these ones seriously again? Let them clean up the current mess they're embroiled in jare. Keep accusing and raiding and still end up paying compensation and so from Nigerian purse simply because you didn't do your job well ![]() |
Are you expecting me to? Because I will not ![]() |
You forgot the most important. He doesn't interfere with other President's government. He knows his boundaries, unlike some erstwhile 'dog and baboon' talkatives. |
EddyNumerouno:I almost forgot ![]() |
This was your response to me yesterday when I faulted those search warrants. PassingShot:Perhaps your response came prematurely because from what I could see up there, you are now blasting them for negating the claims of the DSS that you so much believe in. Was that what you had in mind while claim the NJC had no grounds yesterday? Your prayers have no roots for the single reason that you are confused on your stand yourself. You asked for a rebuttal from the NJC to prove their rightness. Now you have one, you're wishing it never happened. Bros, the people you are defending act without deep thought, planning and verification. That's why they always end up messing themselves up. If you were expecting the judiciary to neglect the very laws they live for, you have been misled by the many violent and thoughtless misdemeanors of this government and, then you should start planning a coup for military dictatorship. That os where your ilks have roots. As for a common sense democratic government, this commando executive has no place there. |

patriotic9jaboy:Note this. |
papparatzzi2013:Haha.. That's some weird thinking there. Did you read the part where after arraigning, the DSS could not prove its case? Did you read the part where a house was raided without a warrant? Did you read the part where the court received only two petitions contrary to the publications we have been gobbling up on media? I'm not an advocate of corruption, but incompetence makes one more of a fool. The id¡ots should utilize taxpayers money to serve taxpayers effectively by doing background search, not in buying crisp new suits for press interviews. Enough of the media trial. |
Yesterday, when I faulted the details, of those search warrant, some Zombies were quick to point out how infalliable Buhari and his band of DSS could be. But it's plain to see isn't it? The list of what they were searching for was too precise; which tells us it was forged later or there was a set-up along the line. From our Secondary School days, we were taught about the independence of the three arms of government, why is the Executive messing around with the judiciary and not the legislative? The DSS could not prove its case. They were expecting public sentiments to do their homework for them, forgetting that the media is not the court. They raided a judge's home without a warrant. Contrary to their claim, the courts received petitions on only two judges. All pending decisions were in the hands of the Executive as the Judiciary is done and dusted with the said matter. Really? I ask, really? Some were expecting the Judiciary to quickly jump out with a statement if they had no skeletons in their cupboards. I take it these people are really mentally derailed by the media trials as undertaken by the Executive without any form of fact-finding. If this trend shoild continue, then a good number of wealthy individuals are at risk. It is not beyond this government to start reviewing bank statements and money flow to find an excuse to barge into a person's bedroom at 12am ![]() |
Well, it's advisable. But it also comes with its challenges too. It's a matter of preparedness though, irrespective of the age. I'm loving mine ![]() nrexzy:Very important but not ultimate. |
Tobyshegz:I'm sure you know Nairaland has close to a million members and you certainly weren't expecting goats to order these phones eii? |
