@diordaves you are absolutely right with your observation! but if you look critically at the Soakaway it is very high so i lost part of the height due to the chambers been lower but the pipe from the chambers are way below the chambers Height. it comes when you are not there to supervise and the the itk baba Lati does things sometimes without thinking of the consequences |

Have you guys heard about Powerwall and Powerpack by Tesla Energy? I was just watching about it this evening on YouTube and was amazed by it.
This stuff is ten times steps ahead of conventional solar system currently on revolution in Nigeria.
I'm sold on this Tesla Energy.
Now this is the way to go, i am seriously Excited about this |

Daboomb: Unfortunately, NOTHING can deter determined thieves, once they set their sight on you!
Like l said, avoid getting on thei radar by keeping a low-profile. Blend-in, whenever you come around: Dress-mode only can give you out because there are some clothes that are obviously not sold in Nigerian markets that when worn new, means the person has "just landed".
- Drop the Americana ascent. - Watch were you change currency - Avoid Night Clubs, that is the number one place to get marked. - In your hood, know the bad-boys by name and occassionally, blend with them (if you can) - Do community service (pay for it) when things come up - Be very observant and look strangers right in the eye so they know you will recognise them anytime after - Do the usual security stuffs ( Dogs, Cameras, elelctric fence, High Walls, Iron Grills, e.t.c) so they know you are also conciosus of what is gwan and dont like petty thieves. - keep some raw cash at home because it might be necessary to "negotiate and settle' in the middle of the night rather than let some angry Youth use you for target practice.
Finally, pray to your own God that since you have not taken from anyone, by force or by trick, yours shall not be taken also. GBAM |

EgunMogaji: It does matter and you shouldn’t have brought it up.
I subjected my laptop to the same condition in Nigeria as I do in the US.
I’m not debating on quality of live voltage, every ne knows that it is deplorable in Nigeria but that shouldn’t affect a laptops battery.
If it did then the technology section of Nairaland should be awash with woes of battery. But that is it, it is this flaucting voltage that affects it be it Nicad Battery or NiMH Battery there is something called the memory effect whict comes up when you have a flauacting current, like the one in naija. That is why i always recomend don't plug in your Battery if you have current unless you want to charge. Charging a battery with such a current. Lithium-ion: This is the type of battery you want to have in your laptop. This type is lightweight and performs better than the other types of batteries. Unlike NiCad or NiMH batteries, lithium-ion batteries don’t have the dreaded “memory effect.” The memory effect is the property of nickel-cadmium batteries that causes them to lose their capacity for full recharging if they are discharged repeatedly the same amount and then recharged without overcharge before they have fully drained. There’s usually a rapid-charging option with lithium-ion batteries, which is good when you’re in a time crunch. Finally, this type of battery is more environmentally friendly than the other types. |

EgunMogaji: Stop that. I spent four months in Nigeria in the past year.
Besides, AC power doesn't go directly to the battery. It has to be changed to DC by the laptop/charger.
If the charger is bad then I can agree that over/undercharging maybe the culprit. It dosen't matter if you spent 4 months in Naija i know what i know we wrote the Algo and used Matlab to Log ask anybody who works in IT in Naija. Current flows von High potential to low Potential if by any case current stops and starts it affects the circuit and the battery laptops start to discharge, it got so bad that you can sometimes hear the Humming of the line. why is that were you live your Laptop charger dosen't get overall to warm and in Naija it get sometine so warm that you be wondering if it has something to do with the wheather ?

EgunMogaji: Well..
1) My Mac Air is sealed so no taking out batteries. No issue and it’s plugged in 24/7 since 2014.
2) I change my leased Business laptops every 2 years and I’ve never had issues.
Those days of managing batteries are long gone. There are intelligence built in to manage power now. you stay in country where light is stable and current stays the same , while in Nigeria we have flauctating current which affects Laptops badly, e.g i have brought a lot of lappy's into the xountry and we noticed the fan rotatation going way high sometine we now wrote an algorithm to log the laptop we found Naija currents fluatate badly. which make with long time use the battery not to charge anymore till 100% with time 98 % then lower to 78 % |
