abunafiu has some points but like i have always taken time to study things b4 jumping in i wil state why i am tendering for mine. Had a long and serious conversation with the company discussed what i eventually want to achieve with d Solar array. This is where it got interesting we have 12 sun hrs in Naija which makes the array pf 4000w fantastic enough to know you will be pulling your wattage from solar while the rest goes to charge the Batteries, and in the Night the Batteries takes over which is at most about 5 to 6 hrs maximum which limits the likelyhood of over pulling the Batteries the MPPT i will be using is so construsted that it takes care of voltage surge without dsamaging the Batteries (Very important) my power manager is a all in one which is intelligent enough to know when you pulling to much from the Battery and sends a signal either to ur meter or generator to makeup the shortfall, thereby saving the batteries from too much pull. and lastly my ultimate goal is the LifePo4 Batteries those ones you can't destroy. https://greenakku.de/Batterien/Lithium-Eisenphosphat-LiFePo4:::7_56.html |

FastShipping: I need to talk to you about giving me what I want in solar system. I have discussed with few people but not yet convinced. I need an European made solar back-up for my house. I don't think I need more than 5kva. I only want to be a able to power all external and internal lights, 2 TVs, 1 microwave, 1 AC at a time and electric fence. Ability to be able to power on all external and internal lights 24 hours per day is non negotiable for me. My contractor and his electrician already did the wiring and created a place for solar back-up.
When can we start the discussion? @ Fastshipping check this link. This is where i am buying mine https://greenakku.de/index.php?filter=0&cPath=28_2&INV=32&BVT=29 |

akinolaolujide: Not the best way to cut cost as some food materials gets bad when there is no proper ventilation. Also lack of ventilation supports dampening by raising humidity within the space and spoils grains. that 50k will serve the users better. It is not only about the Food, every light counts in a building and you don't have this closed boxed in feeling if you know there is a window |

olumz1: That's exactly my point, someone already offered me 8 doors for 5 pounds . To me thats like have them for free and these doors remain solid, no matter the weather. Exactly my Problem too, Doors made in Nigeria after some time starts to drag, makes noise, dosen't close Properly that is one reason why i am also contemplating bringing them down |

mank1234: 1) use automatic water level controller to cut off the power supply to the pump before it's full. With that you won't have to worry much about electricity and water. 2) use appropriate IP rated appliances. After all transformer is always exposed to the element with no effects.
There are many solar projects around totally expose to element! Thank you that and more still went a step futher had a run off built on the other side if by chance water would be full and the cut out dosen't work, had two fail safe method implemented |

EgunMogaji: Stop with this contact me nonsense.
Start a thread, fill it with pictures and prices (yes, we know price changes but we'll have a comparative baseline) and watch sales call me in after proper vetting.
You are in an audience of people actively building houses and the best you can do is "contact me" ? i concur |

FastShipping: I once discussed with one guy in technology section here who advised me against bringing in the gadget because the gadgets in the U.S are made to function in countries using 110 volts. He said the batteries from the U.S are the worst available.
I am really interested in it if I can find an honest technician to do this for me. I'm yet to meet one single honest Nigerian to work for me. Not even one. i am based in Europe in Germany we have the best Solar panels but a little bit Expensive but it has been proven we have the best panels |

FastShipping: Exactly my plan too but a bit skeptical with the way our people do things over there when they promise you heaven and earth but they turn around and do something else the moment you release money to them to execute something for you. I don't want a situation whereby I paid for the best solar gadgets available and end up getting inferior gadgets that breakdown after nine months. you are right i am really comtemplating bringing it down from my Base. i am also a little bit in the Branch IT(communication technology) so they won't be able to sell wash fo´r me, all terminologies, workings and how the System functions i will be one buying all the gadgets just the installation i will give out |

FastShipping: Talking about solar, how many wattage of solar system are you planning to use to power your electrical for this house? Are you tying few suff to the solar and others to PHCN power supply or are you going totally off-grid? I am in a dilemma about solar system viability. It is going to be a really calculating and serious planning because i want the system to be so effective that i can completely be off grid that is why all the appliances and the lightning and all other things are really being calculated to the last T. all lights are LED so that alone the WATTAGE will extrem small all appliances would be low watt and support the inverter technology and using up to date systems in everyting going for like 12Kw-15Kw Solar and PHCN and generator as backup |

kopell: Man good job with this water tank stand, I miss calculate when I was building my security house to place it on top, the water tower now costing me fortune. Yes Purposely did it like that because i will be using the inside for the all power station for the house, it is going to house th PHCN meter since we are using Armoured cable to be laid underground and hosting the Battery for the Solar array |

EgunMogaji: The biggest challenge I have had on my project is changing this mindset of "this is how we do it here". I have to constantly explain that Nigeria is not on Mars and the environment here is not that much different from Spain or Texas or Florida. My thinking exactly i live in a country where the impossible is never accepted till there is no alterantive and i have tried to implement it always in whatever i do, but the mindset of our people ehn ! that one is a terrible challenge same with my build you will tell them something they will start arguing with you |

We have a problem in Nigeria, where we do the collective thing of doing the same with whatever we do. Be it cars, building or fashion why can't we have diversity in everything we do must we always follow the status Quo (Fela comes to mind "follow Follow syndrom") |
