~Bluetooth:please don't indulge him. This thread can do without his silly graphics. Please, i beg you. |
Beaf: He only goes to London. Fear no go let am near America, where he is wanted for drug offences.seriously, beaf, enough of these pictures and attachments. It's really annoying! Can one not enjoy a thread without your stupid injections of cartoons or silly pictures? State your point in texts and move on, please! |
Myself2: Who knows the details of the sentencing?is it going to run concurrently and all those technical ish they normally say which really means"Ibori is sentenced to some lesser jail time, but we'll just say 13yrs so some poor folk on nairaland can rejoice"concurrently? He's only been charged for one offence, hasn't he? |
Okija_juju: 4 YEARS!!!Sorry, that's the English judiciary for you. |
Demdem:I think they are right. Yes, the sentence handed down was for 13 years but deducting time already spent reduced it to 7 years and given that he would be let out on probabtion, he is likely only to spend 3.5 - 4 years. |
demmykay: AIT news bar says ibori is jailed for 4yrs, here it reads 13yrs. Who do we believe?ait is correct as i earlier stated. |
lanrock: WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, 13 YEARS, INCREDIBLE.Well...he's likely only to serve 3.4years with probabtion, anyway. |
scopusng: Judge deducts 645 days already spent in jail, says Ex-Governor James Onanefe Ibori would serve the rest (at least 7 years) in British jail.My point exactly! 3.5 with probabation. He should be shouting Halleluyah!! |
Minus time spent, he should be out in 3 years! Rubbish! |
Where or shall I say how, does this concern Gbawe? |
muib: Why are PDP members so morally low like this!..4 God's sake they want to introduce religious fight in the southwest!..well they didnt study well be4 moving in dat direction cos its not just possible..they dont expect siblings to start killing each other all in the name of religion cos that is the situation of religion in d southwest...just because u want to rule and steal...konidafun awon PDP ..Exactly! That was a totally ill conceived idea by the PDP. I am a living example that the west is religiously intertwined. |
AGBOR-MAN:If truly you yearn for a united Nigeria, you would not wish for an ibo president. Just look at their antecedents, all they have done is strive to bring Nigeria to its knees and to subjugate all other ethnic groups. We have learnt from history and by all means necessary it must not repeat itself. |
odumchi: Lol. Why didn't the SW vote for ACN (Ribadu) or even Buhari instead of GEJ? (An Ijo man with an Igbo name?).and who is saying anything about an alliance here? That I side with the North on here is attributed to personal preference and not as an advocate for the Yoruba nation. However I am convinced that live side by side, we may, with the ibos, but consciously or subconsciously put them into power is what a right thinking Yoruba would not do. Voting for Jonasatan was defonitely not a vote for the ibos. Restructuring his name to becloud the ibos did not trick the Yorubas, we are a superior race and intelligence is in our dna. Jonasatan got our votes out of sympathy due to the turai saga and not because he made a last minute attempt to add azuforkingkwe to his name. Voting an ibo man into power would be Nigeria's gravest mistake! We think we have it bad now? Wait until a biafran with a chip on his shoulder gets in. Biafrans are not Nigerians! They are enemies of Nigeria!! |
PointB: No my dear. There would be elections. And the good people of the west and north will recognise this at the best chance of guaranteeing 'One Nigeria' their forebears fought for. They will then happily cast their votes for either rochas, soludo, ngige; or another capable hand from south east. And Nigeria will live happily ever after. Well, at least Nairaland!First of, I'm not your dear. Secondly and if I understand you correctly, you are saying that Jonasatan would annoint an ibo man to run under pdp? An ibo man that would be accepted by all region; that would pull in the votes from even the west and the North or would it be from the "se/ss" alone? I know that yorubas would rather vote cpc than vote an okoro man, though but hey! Who need their votes, eh? |
Okay, so no election process would take place, just a simple handing over of power, abi? So the West and North are not in consideration any longer? We siddon, we dey look. |
This man just made me even prouder to be an ooduite! God bless you, Ogbeni Aregbesola! |
Ejiné: NorthSharp, I've been in Nairaland for six good years now. Believe me when I say it, because I'm no newbie. This ID was created on Dec 2011, but trust me, the personality was not.How sad! |
ekwy nwa: lol @ toilet paperYep, didn't know she could go to that length to waste ink and luxurious toilet paper and ultimately allow it to come in close contact to her skin! She had to get closer to the truth and I am rather chuffed that she deemed it worthy |
Ejiné: I'm pretty flattered that even after 'not knowing I existed,' you felt it imperative to quote and start addressing my posts, even when they weren't directed at you, meant for you, or in need of your opinion/contribution. This, my dear, either signifies complete joblessness, or an innate interest in the poster (although I cringe at the thought of this).I have to commend you on your efforts to ignore as clearly validated by your constant replies to my comments. You have done well indeed. You my dear, should not be flattered at the attention I have shown in your post albeit addressed to a differetn poster. I probably thought it was necessary to reply to a fellow highly literate 'southerner' seeing as according to your deduction, I, being of the western Nigerian extract, is also classified a 'southerner' and part of that 90% literacy catchment. They do say birds of like feathers flock together, non? I felt it was in the spirit of this commonality that we share, that we discuss the sorry state of the northerners and our bad luck at been lumped in this country with such illiterates. You talk about my ilk's "vainglorious immaturity"? Ejine, I really don't think its appropriate to address the whole southern Nigeria to which you belong in such manner. Have you forgotten that we have a literacy level of 90%? |
Dede1: This is another crap from a dumbass governor of Lagos State. It was not long time ago when Tinubu shutdown entire Lagos State for birthday party and this goon did not say a word. Sometimes I wonder how some of these scallywags are elected as governors.all the ibo dumb a.s.ses have marked their attendance on this thread as you can see. There really isn't any need for one more. You my friend, are late! |
Ejiné: Not a problem. I mean, coming from someone who spends 98 percent of her time on Nairaland shouting "Omo Ibo, Okoro, Igbo" and the rest of her unintelligent bellows, this pitiful attempt at sarcasm does fall terribly flat on its face. But don't sweat it, partner.i'm so chuffed that you actually noticed my posts. On the contrary, I never even knew you existed until I read your intellectual posts and fantastic efforts to point out the bigotry in others. I am so glad you noticed my sarcasm also, but I must say that I didn't expect anything less from a highly literate individual from 'southern Nigeria' - it must have been a piece of cake. |
Ejiné: Desola my humble dunce, that miserable self-agonizing epistle you just typed up there would only serve me better if I printed it out to use as toilet paper after visiting the loo, as it serves no other purpose.Wow, what poise, what finessse you have showed in exhibiting that 90% literacy. Your post couldn't have expressed the knowledge abundantly available to your people as the most literate in Nigeria. Come on, with posts such as this, it's hard to see why some northerners chose to go the way of Islamic education. You my dear, have shown your pedigree and you are indeed the finest from whence it is you hail. Interesting, i found though that you spoke of my stupidity when the last I checked, you re-itereated that there is a part of Nigeria tagged 'Southern Nigeria'. I have to admit that you, my friend, couldn't be any more knowledgeable. |
shymmex: It's just common sense. I hate when people make everything a tribal issue, when there is nothing tribal about it. I know darn well that what the woman did, didn't affect just Yoruba people - a lot of Igbos, Ijaws, Hausa, Kanuri etc. whose lives were disrupted by this stupidity would share Fashola's sentiments. Her husband is leading the country into abyss - yet the uneducated woman still deem it right to make life hell for Nigerians living in Lagos. It was uncalled for! You're gradually coming around to seeing my posterior on the false entity that is Nigeria. |
