ehhhh?

This is the type of future that our visionless Political class is building for our generation. Such a pity it's happening in my Alma Mata, but thought such incidences have stopped long ago? May God deliver Nigeria. |
Pls where is Dame PEJ, she's missing out here, I know by now, anywhere she is , her heart must be boiling hard. Mama Peace you've missed! |
gratieao: You are a foolish man. May ebola Togo strike u there.*Smiles* |
gratieao: You should have use your long epistle to caution the fulanis who started the killing.Under aged brain! you know, they say "what the goat sees and keeps quiet, when the dog sees it, it'll bark endlessly" I know you've never even heard a good sound of a gun in your entire life how much more to handle one so you think it's just a child's play hiding anywhere and type any nonsense you like. |
What are you guys gaining from posting rubbish all the time, what's so beautiful about killing people and promoting the act as you guys love doing? If this war that you guys are clamouring for breaks out now in Nigeria, how easy do you think it'll be for Dick, Tom, and Harry? Maybe hiding behind you computers and typing rubbish to sow seeds of discord gives you pleasure, but wait until your dream come true then you'll understand the big difference between ranting and civil war. |
"That one na human being?" |
Symphony007: a man who said with his own mouth that the reason nigeria cannot govern themselves is due to tribalism, the same man went on to institute that tribalism. Using that tribalism to assure his region a permanent governing majority. How do you think that country will survive. He created what he hypocritical preached against. If the independence constitution allocated equal number of seats to all region and all regional and tribal parties, NPC, AG, NCNC had to canvass the country for votes knowing that only their region can't win them elections, they have to create coalitions. Would'nt that have fostered unity in a divided nation. Rather you give the middle finger to the south and say our northern votes will always gives us a majority so we don't even need to campaign.Well, you're right to an extent but it all depends on how you look at it, if the North is more populated than the south which was the criteria for apportioning parliamentary seats, I think it'll be unfair to have created equal seats based on the balancing of regional interest nonetheless, the then constitution was not written singlehandedly by the North alone without regional contributions so either the South was ignorant then or they saw it as the normal thing to do bearing in mind the those guys then weren't as greedy as we are today; again to show that the man was been honest with the situation he knew that his region could have upper hand in government if finally we are granted independence yet he choose to call for a little more patience and education before talking of independence so he wasn't wrong after all as only his input wouldn't amount to majority and in any case wouldn't stand as well, therefore as they say, "if you can't beat them, then you better join them", simple wisdom. |
Symphony007: the man was a bloody hypocrite!! He knew that the bain of nigeria's problem is tribalism!!! Who will rule if the nation becomes independent. That is what he meant by part of that quote. If that was his problem could'nt he have come together and forged a fair and balanced governance structure with the other regions? Rather, he made back room deals with the british who gave his region a higher population than others COMBINED. Thereby giving him more seats in the parliament and his party the NPC a permanent governing majority. During that election walter cronkite of CBS news interviewed him in his house in sokoto. He was asked why he is not campaigning around the country like azikiwe and awolowo. He said he does'nt need to. He has all the votes in the north to keep power for as long as he wants. He laughed at awolowo who was using helicopters to drop leaflets in northern cities like kano, he said he was wasting his time, his party, AG won't get a single northern vote. So this hypocrite perpetuated the reason he claims nigeria cannot govern itself. Stunning!!!And was his logic wrong in your view? he's seen the numerical strength of other regions and knows what need to be done to win his election and he was in fact been very honest, frank and real with the situation. Besides, it'd have also been a waste if he had gone to the south to campaign for votes as they wouldn't have listened to him as a result of him being a Northern so the bias was already there even before independence so what was the need for the hurry knowing fully well how we are. |
I thought the PDP would have said he hasn't paid salaries since he assumed office as Governor, so if it's just for July that he's owing, then there's no big deal because he's still up to date even if he got a bail out from his colleagues from other states, at least it was done under mutual agreement and might attract zero interest. Meanwhile, I think it'll be nice and in the spirit of equity and justice for the PDP to check Abia state under her control how many months salary its owing civil servants over there. |
Symphony007: you will be because you are the real mediocre. It is perfectly understandable if he believes nigeria cannot govern itself due to the tribal divisions but is the solution to be ruled indefinitely by the british? Then, there were people canvassing for a divided nation...would'nt that have been a better solution to our tribal nation? So because of tribalism the british would have continued ruling us? For how long? When would they have magically made us brotherly nations and left? 1970? 1980? 1990? 2005? 55 years as a nations and we have'nt been able to conquer our tribalism and you believe if the british had stayed with us a little longer everything would have been better. Pathetic!!Everything wouldn't have been better if they've stayed a little longer neither am I saying that they should have stayed forever, rather if we've come together or reasoned what the gentleman said, maybe we'd have come to a compromise on how ready and prepared we are as a people to demand for independence before clamouring for it because it's very obvious that what the average statesman wanted then was just for Nigeria to be pronounced independent, otherwise, the man was damn very right by his statement. |
"Self government for nigeria could only be demanded when it's meaning was fully understood by the masses of the country with things in their present state in nigeria. The northern region does not intent to accept an INVITATION TO SUCIDE" this fine gentlemen is very correct, in fact he is a very wise man. To prove how wise and correct he is, within 10yrs from 1960 of Nigeria's independence, Nigeria had a very bloody coup that led to a civil war, 54yrs down the line Nigeria is still struggling and battling to stay together as a Nation before talking of development, in my view this is the wisest post or statement I've ever read about Nigeria. |
Symphony007: When asked if he thinks nigeria should be independent, this is what Ahmadu bello, the then most powerful man in the north and leader of the NPC had to say.If I say you are a mediocre, Will I be making a mistake? alright, in your own personal view, have we been able to govern ourselves, hasn't it been suicidal ever since? I think you forgot to highlight this statement that "Self government for Nigeria could only be demanded when its meaning was fully understood by the masses of the country".Ponder on this, and if you understand English language very well and conversant with the Nigerian Nation then ask yourself if the gentleman (may his soul rest in peace) has said anything wrong. |
It's a good thing the trains are back on track in fact I'll be most grateful and happy if the eastern rail line will get to work asap because it'll be a huge plus to the economic growth of my community as there is a station there. Therefore, with all this huge write up you did op without any corresponding picture, I can only say that this Administration has only succeeded in doing something that somehow eluded the Obj administration for eight yrs otherwise no tangible or significant improvement compared to the investment that's been made in this sector by our Govt. Lastly, I beg to advice our youths to stop sacrificing good governance and best practices and services at the alter of celebrating mediocrity as a result of showing support or loyalty to party, ethnic or tribal affiliations; nothing stops us from having the best if we claim we are dedicated and determined because we have what it takes to provide the best amenities for ourselves. May God bless Nigeria. |
maestroferddi: Nigeria, funny country! The fear of impeachment is the beginning of wisdom for many a cantankerous governor.Thank you for mentioning "the fear of impeachment" I wish our law makers would be more gracious in this new spate of impeachment even though they are as guilty as the Governors they are impeaching; because with those flimsy allegations of fund misappropriations and gross misconduct, I think the impeachments would have gained more credibility if it had started from the chief culprit of the allegations in the person of HE GEJ GCFR, he is more guilty as alleged compared to these state Governors and their deputies, again I can lend credence to the fact that the Abia state Governor and his deputy are also as guilty as GEJ, in the sense that both of them are contesting for who'll be more inefficient than the other. Finally, most of our lawmakers carrying out these impeachments, as a matter of urgency for the ineptitudes they've shown in their ability to represent themselves properly not to talk of representing the people should therefore be recalled with immediate effect. |
While waiting for Nigerian youths/graduates to speak up, act or revolt against the Govt, I bet you that that one is not gonna come, we are too comfortable with managing our situation with hope, faith, and believe that God will do something someday "Suffering and smiling" in Fela's voice, as you can see, every night in our churches is for tarry nights, fasting and praying for either our enemies to die or for a miracle job so already, we've conceded that Govt is not responsible for our woes, rather we blame our enemies or sometimes you hear things like "Nigerian graduates are not employable". In fact, there are a lot excuses to justify the rising situation of unemployment in our country just to exonerate those saddle with the responsibility otherwise how can you justify spending 4/5/6yrs as the case maybe in a tertiary institution only to be trained or advice to take up a small skill acquisition program to help yourself instead of waiting for white collar jobs which are no where to be found? The question remains, why then did you go to school to spend your time and resources in the first instance instead of going straight to acquire skills with all the yrs you spent maybe you'd have become an expert in whatever skill by the time you graduated. We are still Lil-livered Nigerian youths divided along several lines as we've chosen to justify it to be united to address common issues. |
Are these set of PDP e-rants (nairalnad sector) ever ready and handy to comment nonsense on every single reasonable thread? Very jobless and un-analytical in your responses or don't your job as "kobo kobo e-rants tell you how critical it is to argue constructively instead of jumping into every single issue you see on nairaland without reasoning? |
aguiyi: Test run from were to were pls, I just returned from station road and still wondering why I will join a train from UTC and highlight at Lagos bus stop.I bet people like you will be among the first set that'll strike a pose in this monorail for memorable photo shots. |
So truly innocent Nigerian girls are missing? Shame on PDP and her blind sympathizers. |
German Muslim scholar replies on TERRORISM ... I liked the answer of this German Muslim scholar when he was asked about terrorism and Islam : He said : Who started the first world war? not Muslims ? Who started the second world war ? not Muslims ? Who killed about 20 millions of Aborigines in Australia ? not Muslims ?? Who sent the nuclear bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki ? not Muslims ?? killed more than 100 millions of Indians in North America ? not Muslims ?? Who killed more than 50 millions of Indians in south America ? not Muslims ?? Who took about 180 millions of African people as slaves and 88% of them died and were thrown in Atlantic ocean ? not Muslims ?? No , NOT Muslims!!! First of all, You have to define terrorism properly... If a non-Muslim does something bad..it is crime. But if a Muslim commits the same..he is a terrorist... So first remove this double standard...then come to the point!!! , . . . . . I am proud to be a MUSLIM !!! ARE YOU SPREAD THIS MSG & DON'T BREAK THECHAIN |
Desric: Still making plenty rants to create an unnecessary and irrelevant tension out of nothing since the parties involved have made the whole botched up plan look too common and normal instead of making it a heated media issue and desperate debates as planned by their Aso Rock instigators, |
Still making plenty rants to create an unnecessary and irrelevant tension out of nothing since the parties involved have made the whole botched up plan look too common and normal instead of making it a heated media issue and desperate debates. Firstly it was in Ekiti state and Dr. Fayemi intelligently subdued the tension as if nothing happened now it is Nyako and same thin happened, probably pained by the newly recruited kobo kobo e-rants as their job is obviously been rendered useless by unexpected mature statesmanly reaction of both Nyako and Fayemi, they are now bringing up topics and write up to provoke one but the people are more civilised and mature to join issues with some jobless youths misplacing their priorities rather than use their God given talents for more productive activities that will benefit the society. |
Now who said the President wasn't behind Nyako's impeachment? anyway to all you newly recruited kobo kobo e-rants on nairaland, "we've been here before in this country, so this is not the first time but we pray it should be the last; Nigeria has out grown this level of myopic childish intimidating politics, FYI, Abacha did it, with massive propaganda, jingles, intimidation and oppression just to become a civilian or life president, in fact in his case all five political parties in the country adopted him as their consensus candidate and we know the region who even organized a 2million man march of solidarity, but as we all know, today the rest as they say is history needless to say more; Objbaba also ventured through this path just to remain in the presidency for a third tenure, as a result, Nuhu Ribadu of the EFCC was made a mini god and super star overnight, but today as well, we all know the way it all went, so don't think you are doing alien or new to Nigeria because we've all been there and we know how they ended. Nothing lasts forever, power is transient.... Do not be fooled. |
activatenigeria: Are you that hurt because Ali Modu Sheriff defected? Well, its a good thing for PDP because APC is losing valuable members to them due to lack of internal democracy , mind you this is politics, no party has the right to reject anybody who for some reason decides to join them, forget your assumption about the multi million dollar foreign PR crap, there is no such thing as propaganda here, we are just stating the obvious, was it not the same Nyako that once called GEJ and the FG names that now constantly visits The Villa seeking for intervention to rescue him from impeachment? to you there is nothing wrong with that, abi? The hard fact is that APC is gradually losing momentum and relevance, the earlier you accept that fact the better you.Very soon Buhari and Tinubu or ('Tinubu" if you like) will be the only ones left in the party.Hahahahaha! now who is the one hurt here? Anyway, the multi million dollar PR contract isn't an assumption but a proven fact, but let's leave politics by the side for another day, if Nyako is guilty of the crimes levied against him by their state assembly and now he's "running to the villa for help" as you claim, can't you see that their are several things wrong somewhere? because that means obviously, the oga at the villa's stock in trade is to protect criminals and shield those culpable by law or otherwise he knows some things behind Nyako's impeachment saga just the way BH is labelled a Muslim sect being sponsored by the APC. |
Now Ali Modu Sheriff is no longer the founder and sponsor of boko haram? alright, maybe if Tinubu supports GEJ or crosses over to the PDP, he'll cease to be the 'Tinubu" as you guys refer to him and if APC endorses GEJ, they'll also no longer be the "supporter of APC"? anyway, seems the multi million dollar foreign PR contract of GEJ and the PDP is seriously working and in vogue because I can see more hands behind the computers all fighting out of joblessness to survive by massive non factual propaganda against the APC. |
Agozie48: 39 and still no ring on the finger weird....Is there anything else you can say to her, shey e don finish, She no get husband? drinking panadol for another man's headache*aproko* |
Agozie48: 39 and still no ring on the finger weird.... |
Is this boko haram or Nigerian soldiers? because both wear same camouflage uniforms so it's usually hard to differentiate. If this is the army, it means they are often beaten in their own game and that's why the boko boys are always gaining grounds and causing more damages. |
Now this E-rants are also of the APC, only the APC wins on paper and social medias, the PDP doesn't, they don't even have time for propaganda right? I believe the only working CV for the PDP and her "there will be no Nigeria without PDP cronies" is the nonfactual and incessant smears against the APC and her chieftains? Just like in Ekiti state, I was to read some people's claim that the APC is losing it in Nigeria because they are busy presenting mostly technocrats as candidates for the party instead of core Politicians, lastly, I don't think we have reasons to complain about the nature of things in out Nation if we've refused to do away with this kind of mindset. |
Mynd_44: The office of the Central Bank Governor is not a ministerial appointment. It is one that involves a 4 year term which a candidate is endorsed by the president and confirmed by the senate. A minister on the other hand can be fired anytime and retired but not the CBN governor.Thank you, for clearing his head, You know, its good if all of us can start doing this enlightenment program whenever the opportunity arises so that ignorant peeps won't always believe that this Nation is a lawless one where anything goes. Otherwise the crop of Leaders we have now will be a serious joke compare to the ones to come. |
