MAKE NO MISTAKE!
I'm an Aba boy but presently in Owerri.I was discussing with a friend in Aba about the Apc rally in Aba Sport Complex over the phone yesterday, what I found out happened was that Rochas is no way popular in Igboland, infact he can not pull half of that crowd in his own state of Imo,he is so hated here for joining Apc.But the Aba case was different WHY because Aba people has suffered a lot and they welcome ANYBODY that talks about their plight or criticises T.A Orji govt.I heard that Rochas and Ngige used bulk of the time talking about the state of roads in Aba and both were condemnig the T.A Orji Adinistration. This is excertly what most Aba residents want to hear not minding who is saying it.MARK MY WORD IF ROCHAS AND NGIGE CONTINUES THEIR APC PROMOTION TOUR IN OTHER SE STATES,THEY MAY BE STONED AT SOME PIONTS,membership of that party is regarded as a taboo here. What happened in Aba on friday is understandable.
Nigerians, making excuses for everything no matter how hard or how petty. If rochas happenes to organise a rally in IMO state, what u saw in Aba will be just a child's play. FYI, that rally u saw in Aba was organised within less than one week because the message very impromptu late Sunday night.

Abagoro I must commend your effort in creating this thread, in fact this is the time for our darling state Abia to be liberated from the hands of selfish visionless clueless leaders. With God by our side, come 2015, the APC will occupy the government house of Abia state and Abia will never remain the same again for good.

Why all this noise about just one Peter Obi if he was not the APGA backbone?
Obi has grown pass State/regional politics and needs to further on to National politics of which the leadership style of Victor Umeh of APGA can't guarantee.
He took a noble decision by not collapsing APGA structure into PDP just like Rochas.
With these continuous ranting, APGA is rapidly diminishing into a point of no return. At least, Obi tried his best by containing the excesses of Dictator Victor Umeh.
I thought APGA is an Igbo party and Rochas is not suppose to leave it for a national party so why now, why Obi?

SHUT UP AND SAY WHAT YOU KNOW WITHOUT SENTIMENTS.

Do you know that the internal generated revenue of Rivers state as of February, 2014 was 9.5 billion naira while their January - June, 2014 Federal allocation was 99.67 billion naira. The recent Federal allocation to Rivers state was 24 billion naira. Compared it to other states and make sound judgment. Rivers state would only realized that they've lost a smart thief when he stepped down as governor or if a prudent governor comes in (certainly not Weke)
You're busy calculating the allocation, how much does Rivers State pay as salaries, how much does the HOA consume and then the projects, how do you think one KM of cost to construct in R/S? My dear Amaechi might not be the most prudent of governors, but certainly he has done so well and always responsible in the sense that he agrees without argument whenever you points to him areas where he has failed unlike some of our leaders who will better spend all our national fortune in TAN instead of to accept that they have failed woefully.

Since those state governors do not like good things maybe they're sleeping in 3million naira bungalow then where have the funds gone to because as much as I know, they're still owing debt and salaries especially Abia State?

So what's the cost then?

The company constructing it is the same one building the new terminals in Nigeria. I think Ghana has a slight advantage over us in that they don't have to do this stupi/d balancing act where anything being built has to be distributed/balanced among all its regions; they can spend the funds on one particular project for the entire country and build something grand and world-class.....and the entire country can have a sense of belonging in the project because they're a proper nation!

What would realy surprise me is if fashola himself agrees to be a VP he should know beta that a VP is just mere post of no consequential weight. Come to think of it I have forgotten the VP of lagos.
But it's still through this same "mere post of no consequential weight" that the incumbent President rode on to be where he is now that he doesn't want to leave; again if truly your assertion is true, what's then this heavy hype about where the VP should come from or his religion?

It depends on your definition of briliance and your level of briliancy too. PDP has two SW states and as far as am concern Edo and a big chunk of Lagos will fall to PDP, so now decide for yourself if fielding a westerner will make such a significant impact.
Lagos state the last time I checked was a stronghold of the ACN in 2011 when a GEJ won there landslide, SW are somewhat more specific and united in their actions compare to the SE especially. Therefore a Fash VP might spur them to support their own massively unlike the SS and SE where no matter who you present, as long as it is not the ruling party, that person is going to fail there.

I assure you and your type that the only place such high intolerance resides are in the North and SS/SW and NEVER in the SW.

SE/SS votes are already on locked down for GEJ.....so there is little APC will do to appease those two regions.....the North is weighing heavily for APC....the battle ground is the SW.....all you need is a person with good record of political office, and that is very popular to unlock the idle voters in the region to come out and vote....FASHOLA meets the criteria.

Just like most yorubas..I have Muslims and Christians in my own household...living amicably without rancour, so why should we allow foreign religion to determine who to vote for against competency.

Forget your bullshytee religions when it comes to SW....
You are a very brilliant political analyst. SE/SS are somehow irrelevant to the success of the APC, the battle ground remains the SW as such a Fashola's VP candidature for the APC might just do the needed magic.

Fashola is wasted being saddled with V.P post.
Better for him to have be in charge of national planning.
With his men like the hands -on commissioner of budgeting Ben Nwabueze who I believe should displace the know nothing, ideal, national priorities like electricity, critical infrastructure like the Niger bridge will become priorities.
First thing first dear with all due respect, APC get to win the election first before appointments, so picking someone from an almost insolvent region as far as vote is concerned is like putting the horse before the cart and that will do more harm than good to the APC and to Nigerians in general, therefore the first thing is to explore every strategy possible to wrest power from the PDP come 2015 before talking of any other thing.

APC stands for CHANge!

Why does that sound like a really funny joke? Whe 72 yr old Buhari who was former dictator and coupist is involved then you can see what that's a really funny joke!
So now his age is the bone of contention? Anyway, I'm not a fan of his age also but at the cross road we find ourselves right now as a Nation demands for a pragmatic disciplined mind like GMB and this is a fact that is inarguable. For being a coupist, the last time I checked, no competent court of law, tribunal or panel of enquiry has convicted him for such crimes so far as enshrined in our constitution to prevent him from contesting as is the case of a young PDP Governor elect Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state

For me I'll pledge my loyalty and support for a GMB/Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola tickect any day any time whether a Muslim/Muslim or whatever is not my business. Ordinarily, I wouldn't opt for GMB as the flag bearer cos of his age but as situation and condition demands right now he's inarguably the most followed opposition candidate that can stand a chance in a very biasly polarized polity like we have in our nation today. SE and SS are usually biased between religious and ethnic lines as even if you give a bishop the VP tickect from that zone he might not be politically viable or relevant to the calculation while a united SW will want to support their own in the person of BRF wholeheartedly; therefore, its GMB/Fash for me. Amaechi is already a hero of his time if all things are to be equal, as a person, he has won my respect and regard no matter the propaganda being instituted against him.

I will question Fashola's judgement if he accepts to run with Buhari

The best thing for Fashola is go to senate in 2015 but cris-cross the length and breadth of naija campaigning for APC candidates including Buhari if he is nominated as the candidate.

APC will not defeat Jonathan, they are not prepared! Fashola can then lead the opposition day by day or policy by policy from the Senate!

When 2019 comes Fashola should then run for President!

I don't know whether any incumbent President has lost election in Africa before. Even in Ghana or Kenya where I think power has changed parties. The ruling parties have not lost with an incumbent President running for election. This is the harsh reality and this reality is not necessarily due to rigging. It just so happens that every incumbent leader has a bigger microphone!
A day begins a story bro, as they say in football " history does not play football". Sudan has never beaten Nigeria in a football match since over 40yrs but they did last Saturday so you can see that the only permanent thing under planet earth is CHANGE and that's what the APC stands for.
