Read yourself again and tell yourself that you've made any sense; will you be proud to tell your kids that this is what their beloved father wrote and preach and support and expect them to be proud of you? So if it's merry go round as you claim, which year and what millennium will it get to you? No wonder Nigerians keep get the dividends of their democracy only in the media. Sincere9gerian: APC attack dogs, crying more than the bereaved since 1884. Are you guys more intelligent than Ribadu and Marwa? Playing real politics on ground is very different from sitting behind the laptop and ranting online all day.

Meanwhile, no one knew who would win the PDP primary until the ballot was cast and results was out. That is the BEAUTY of democracy, which is lacking in the Aggrieved People's Congress where the party's candidate for Lagos gubernatorial elections in 2015 has already been anointed by the godfather and chieflooter himself, Jagaban.
With this, it's very obvious to conclude that:
1. You are not a politician
2. You don't know a thing about party politics in Nigeria and or
3. You are not an ardent follower of Nigerian politics or you are not being smart enough to follow the trend in our political history or you are simply a hypocrite; Otherwise, you GEJ followers usually brag that it is difficult if not almost impossible for an incumbent to lose in the primary election of his party so what are you surprised about or is it not the same horse that your Oga at the top rode on her back to get to his present status today? so why are you sounding very naive and ignorant about the whole process please wake up and embrace patriotism for you are the picture of the world you intend to see. i can assure u that Fintiri wiil not run come 2015, contrary to what people think; PDP is more organised now than ever before.

Ribadu for 2015!
In your dreams right? Is it not the same situation that is causing all the political rancour in our country today? My dear in Nigerian politics, there are no gentleman agreements whatsoever.

If Fintiri is not allowed to run by 2015, then, the PDP would have shown in a very clear term that they are the main problem that we have as a Nation because they know the right thing to do but usually chooses to do otherwise; otherwise all the call, outcry and clamour for GEJ to run again is just wickedness and sheer hypocrisy on the part of whom ever is making it, knowing fully well that there was a gentleman agreement he entered into which brought him to power, and as a gentleman, an agreement should be an agreement and should be honoured also as such.

Nevertheless, I suspect that Fintiri will contest come 2015 and maybe will also ask his then opposition likewise to show him evidence of the agreement and also where it is constitutionally wrong as a matter of fact for him to exercise his constitutional right because by then, morals will be thrown to the wind and what will matter most will be as usual to grab power by any means possible no matter whose ox will be goad. " A snake will always reproduce it's type, like father like son" as it is the stock in trade for the PDP; as they say, show me thy friend and I'll tell you who you are, in this case, show me your political party and I'll tell you what to expect. Goodluck to them anyway.

brownlord: So all the noise from mynd44 na from APC propaganda media house?
No wonder the PDP and even FFK all were very confident that inec's own result will be different from what was on ground thereby giving them the confidence to advice that people should wait until inec announces her official result in Osun state because in their calculations and plans, their great is always ahead with inec in charge. One needs to wonder if there's any difference between results obtained from polling units and the one that inec announces.

Learn to read well my bro, the reasons stated were largely due to violence. You expect INEC to validate and announce results from such PU's? No, they wouldn't. Because they are COMPETENT, contrary to your claim.
So who should be blamed for that, maybe you I guess? Anyway, that excuse doesn't still cover the fact that they lack competency if they can not prosecute a free and fair election in just 9LGAs within given time frame because of violence, that means there'll be myriad of excuses to give by the time they'll be announcing the 2015 general election results; otherwise, I've never seen one election that inec has successfully conducted without excuses and complaints even if its just one LGA, in fact, the more smaller the election in Nigeria the more inec's ineptitude is exposed.

Why is our INEC very incompetent? Common senatorial bye-election in just 9LGAs is inconclusive, I wonder the magic they perform to bring the results we see every time and how they'll manage to conduct the forthcoming general elections because it seems their experiments have no end.

Religion / Re: The Fight Against Self-servicing, Lust And Sex.ual Immorality by Desric(m): 6:28am On Aug 30, 2014
Konjour:

Your conscience is partly a derivative of your upbringing and your culture. If you've been brought

up in a society where its termed an immoral act to remain uncircumcised, you'll feel guilty

everytime you see your foreskin. If you grow up in a society where idol worship is the norm, you'll

feel normal when you bow down to a piece of wood and your conscience won't prick you a bit.

If you grew up in a society where its illegal to engage in any form of public display of affection,

you'll experience a culture shock when you settle in a country where its allowed, and you'd feel

'guilty' or morally wayward if your girlfriend or wife kisses you in public.

Your conscience is flexible, that's why a man can slaughter his fellow man on TV just to send a

message and still be able to sleep at night.

That you feel guilty about it has more to do with the kind of teachings you've been brought up

with. In Nigeria, some people still feel guilty to tell their husbands or wives 'I love you' cuz their

warped sense of judgement, and 'conscience' tells them its immoral.

Your conscience can indeed be modified or reconfigured to suit whatever purpose you want it

to serve. It can be trained to serve as a leash, and it can be trained towards making you a killing

machine.
This piece of analysis deserves an award because I don't see any more better way to educate ourselves about how we feel, our conscience, and or sin as a product of several factors. Thank you very much for writing this simple piece.

Even if the APC present's Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka for President, he will still not win in the SE; so why the hype about a muslim/Muslim ticket when you all know in your hearts that you've already made up your minds never to vote the party even if it presents "a saint"? Anyway, the APC already know where their votes will be coming from so let's not drink panadol for another man's headache, besides, "you can only take a horse to the stream but you can't force her to drink from the stream" because for some zones and peeps they prefer to do same thing over and over again and expect a different result, therefore as long as it is not the PDP and their mini god GEJ, Nigeria will cease to be Nigeria. Fashola and Tambuwal are two very young tested and dynamic leaders of which I'll lend my support any day anytime irrespective of tribe, religion or political platform. What Nigeria needs now is patriotism and efficiency not mediocrity and nepotism which have never done us any good, stop complaining and make it work, Nigeria is a blessed country so don't be a curse to it and claim it isn't working and can never work. I think for the fact that the PDP has admitted that they have already started campaigns for their candidate against electoral laws and timetable says a lot about them as the ruling party, the presidency and their lack of respect for constituted authorities and the constitution they claim to be upholding. I stand to be corrected, but is Emeakayi the Anambra PDP chairman in anyway feeling insecure or is he being shortchanged or is he not campaigning for the "master" for his reelection as well? Anyway, this has shown the lowly minded individuals we have as political leaders in the SE, how embarrassing can it go beyond this, that the SE are now quarrelling, dragging, struggling, arguing over who has the right to support and print the paymaster's campaign posters with what logos and who does not. It's such a huge shame, no wonder people like Owelle Rochas are being played down on in the zone with massive religious and ethnic hate propaganda. When others are busy moving forward, the SE is busy bootlicking and massaging egos. We are way backwards in terms of politics in Nigeria may God help us.

Politics / Re: 80% Of Those Fighting Me Are People Who I Have Given Billions Of Naira —amaechi by Desric(m): 7:40am On Aug 28, 2014
I think other Governments should follow suit both Fed. state, and LGs let's hear who you gave your own contracts that did not deliver so that the populace can know who to hold responsible; that's because in the land of the blind, a one eye man is usually a king so I'll pass what governor Amaechi is doing as part of "Transparency and Accountability"as it applies to the Nigerian state.

For those criticising Amaechi, if he gives the contract out to real contractors, you guys will be the first to blast him of not supporting local content, if he falls out with politicians as a result of not patronising them with juicy contracts and fail to win a reelection and his case becomes like Fayemi of ekiti state, you guys will also be the first to call him names and celebrate his loss.

Nigerians most times are virtually confused people, they hardly know exactly the next thing they want other than "LAMENTING" up and down.... Fayemi lost an election and it was attributed to his lack of pampering corruption and patronising mediocrity, and so many people did not condemn such, rather it's a victory for our democracy, the people has spoken and spoken well. Like they say, "Failure to reward success is another form of encouraging mediocrity". Nigerians we are yet to define our basic priorities and until we do that, I'm afraid that what we'll be getting will be exactly what our attitudes deserve.

Abians has never voted for T. A. Orji ever, it has always been arranged in Abuja.
Even Orji Kalu told T.A his estranged godson not to recontest then in 2011 because of his poor record and loss of touch with the people.
The problem of Abia State especially Aba is Ngwa-phobia and na for there the State go die.
I pray and cry make God touch the NASS to approve the creation of Aba State to help end this misery once and for all time.
And since the people and the elites can not help themselves or do the right thing, then Abians are not ready to see the end of T.A and his likes in their administration yet.

Agreed they all speak ill of T.A; since you've spent so much time in Aba, now tell me, can Abians vote out T.A Orji if he was to contest again?, secondly, 2015 is around the corner, can Aba and indeed the entire Abians vote massively against the PDP and T.A's candidate for Governor? The answer is a Capital NO because T.A and his PDP will also win landslide in Abia state come February 2015 usual, so where is the talk and where is the action? Lamentation is not enough action they say speaks louder than voice, let Abian's voice of discernment come loud in 2015 otherwise, they really deserve what they are getting if not more.

Abians are much comfortable with the situation in a way, I say this because if T.A Orji should contest for Governor 10times again, with what's on ground right now, he'll still win over and over and over again. A trip to the state and a chat with the grassroot folks will get you thinking the kinda mentality the so called politicians and citizens posses, they hold the Governor in high esteem, they adore and worship him almost and they live like they took an oat never in their life to go against the PDP no matter the circumstances. Mr Ikimi, with all due respect sir and without mincing words, all what you just did here to me is nothing but "sheer defensive mechanism".

You should be ashamed of yourself for saying what you're saying at your level and after investing all that you did to build a formidable opposition, even though our politicians are mostly shameless set of people, I'm deeply disappointed in you sir.

Now you mentioned Ali Modu Sherrif, Shekarau and Bafarawa, who've already gone to where you are heading to as your very close allies, confirming the assertion and reason why you guys received the treatments you received from the leadership of the APC mostly you and Sherrif because it was found out that you guys were PDP moles in the APC simple, as for Shekarau and Bafarawa, it was unfortunate they had to loss their Leadership positions due to the inception of serving governors to the party of which they are aware of the process. Every other thing you added might be true and somewhat personal issues which no organization will claim saint of; If the issues in the PDP are to be written down just as you did, the space you consumed here will be a child's play. Anyway, I wish you luck in your endeavour for your own share of the missing $20b.

"Leaders in any society are usually the direct reflection of the attitudes of the people they lead". I say this without any fear of contradiction because Nigerians somehow seem very confused. In Ekiti state, it was celebrated that Fayemi the incumbent Governor lost his reelection bid to Fayose due to his elitist policies as well that most of APC controlled states policies are also elitist, painting a picture that Fayose was more of the people's man and that Nigerians doesn't want change, rather they prefer their old ways where anything goes as long as nobody's ox is goad. Today almost all policies termed elitist by the public as enshrined in all APC controlled states are being reversed and yet another complain, personally, I don't seem to understand exactly what we want as a people; but as they say "failure to reward success, is another way of encouraging mediocrity" one good turn they say deserves another. Be Patriotic, Be wise and Shine your eyes, when you want something, go for it and when something is done properly, encourage the doer to do even more. Help Nigeria and make it to become the land of our collective beautiful dreams.
