Waiting for the truth before I comment.... |
owolabifunke14:They don't tell a blind man that there is no salt in the food, If Edo state guber poll was marred with such level of irregularity, I think it would have still challenged and condemned in so many quarters. In fact its a shame that the character and integrity of the Anambra state Governor have always called for questions and he couldn't hide under any guess to at least conduct a fairly credible election. If I may ask, is this Legacy he inherited from the Late Ikemba Chukwuemeka Ojukwu? Anyway one need to be surprised, when a chameleon is the National of APGA and from same zone with Obi, what do u expect? |
samuelkaykay: Dnt worry, that is Nigeria,Ngige should endure it.I think people should learn to keep quite when they don't have anything meaningful to say other than show their ignorance in public. Nigeria's biggest problem is that of having so many educated illiterates. No wonder they say half eduction is dangerous. |
The future looks blurred for Nigeria, the level of support for Mediocrity, irregularities, and corruption is too high and its quite very unfortunate that this is where we find ourselves. Reading through several comments one can just see the reflection of why our Nation is what it is no doubt the Problem is not with our Leaders but with we the Lead. Be the change you want to see in the world. |
taharqa: Look at this one. Whatever hitches were noticed in d election, though condemnable, were not Systemic (except for d Idemili case, which is why INEC had to reconduct d elections there). Prove me wrong if you think otherwise...They are not systematic to the fact that four days to election day, INEC had to adjust the Register to be used for an election to the extent that even the PDP candidate and his parents names were not found in the Register? They are not systematic to the extent that ballot materials which have arrived at all LG hdqtrs on friday night could not get to polling units until at about 1pm, 2pm. 3pm in so many areas? Mixing voters register where one wards register will be given to another ward and vice versa? Be the change you want to see in the world, our mentality is too low and like I will always say, "The level of Leadership/Governance you see in an area reflects the direct proportion of the level of those Governed/lead." |
Its seriously heartbreaking reading through comment from Igbos in so many forums, some people say Ngige supported the deportation of the Igbos by Fashola and that helped in increasing the hatred from his people. I don't care whether he wins or not but truth be told, with such statements, its quite clear that we Igbos love Mediocrity a lot, why can't we make our zone more lucrative and attractive other than always depending on other zones for survival and livelihood? Ngige was a true Leader that he is and stood his grounds, faced the fact and supported reality. I read in so many quarters that Fashola apologised to the Igbos, I think this is also one of our problems, we hardly read or understand issues, we prefer to think through our sentiments and ego. People should read Fashola's statement again and see how he made a mockery of the Igbos and still we ve not learnt anything, we still prefer Mediocre than face the facts and realities on the ground that sentiments doesn't bring Developments rather hard work and determination does. |
taharqa: Idemili North wud not hv made ANY difference, so make all of una SHATTAP..... INEC shld do what is necessary in this instance: catch and prosecute that EOD if he is found guilty; and, reconduct d elections in the affected Units. I think they are already doing that sef...Was the Irregularities in only Idemili LGA? What about areas where people could not find their names? What about the late arrival of materials? My dear its not enough we support anything just because it furnish our ego for now. I believe you are a youth, be the change you want to see in the world. |
In fact I feel like crying because its like we ve lost all hopes to get this country back to track, with the comments of some individuals one has to ask if the bad ones out numbers the good in this country of ours? Why can't INEC with all the time and funds at their disposal conduct a simple credible Gubernatorial election in just one state of the federation? What will happen in 2015 if INEC with all her arsenals could not execute a fairly credible election in Anambra state, the big question now is "Has Jega failed too?" Like Nwoye said, I think he has lost the control of the Commission, and that's a very dangerous one for us as a Nation. |
Little did I know that such irregularities can still exist in our elections especially when it has to do with just one state, its so disheartening. Shame on INEC, Shame on Obi, shame on whosoever that will support this sham of an election because those are the true enemies of Nigeria and her Democracy. Our hope for a better Nation is still faint and not feasible in the near future. |
kaycee2012: Live Updates of Results as being supervised by Chukwuma Obi.Please how true is your posts? It's not ideal or honourable to post misleading results here, don't dignity, integrity and decorum into the bush just in the name of having fun. Some things should be given the utmost respect and regard that they deserve, i believe you are mature enough please help yourself and help Nigeria, Thank you for understanding. |
"it is expected that Chris Ngige, being from the senatorial district, will put up a good fight. However, Peter Obi and Chief Victor Umeh are also from Anambra central." Aren't you guys ashamed that the only place that our so-called Igbo party (APGA) has a stronghold is in Anambra central where the National chairman and only party governor hail from? |
VICTORCIZA: APGA WILL WIN ANAMBRA AT IF AT ALL APGA DOESNT WIN PDP WILL WIN.APC WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER WIN IN ANAMBRA.CHUKWU AJU.ARUThat's a typical Igbo man from Anambra state. This is the nonsense you go about saying without a bearing, all you are after is which party wins and not which candidate, after you will come up with your own shoeless story that's why we love living in the 17th century with all pride and boldness. |
wesley80: That's what Google told you right? Unfortunately, Google does not understand the peculiarity of Nigeria so here are some better definitions. You are just very pathetic, no wonder we've being this backward in SE, imagine what your type will be doing if you eventually become a SE political Leader because in most case your likes are usually favoured as SE Leaders and that's why we are were we are. |
noblezone: The problem of theSometimes some people talk so much like i literates, what negotiations are you even talking about? Who negotiated for Jonathan to become the President? Was it the SS? You talk Regional Politics as if you know a hut about it, If people should play Regional politics the way people like you wants it, I bet you the east might not even get anything because they are hardly in the forefront of any National political struggle. Before ACN was a western party, ANPP/CPC was a Northern party, APGA was a Eastern party (that could not win a single stat)e except for Ngige's doggedness against the godfathers that ushered in Peter Obi through the window of the fight and quarrel between Ngige and the Ubahs, what of Ngige had agreed to play ball, who would have known the APGA?. Today ACN, ANPP, CPC have come together calling on the APGA and every interested person to come and help form a " so-called" formidable opposition/National Party the same people calling them names who will never see any good thing come into Nigeria unless it has the PDP tag, are also fighting tirelessly to distabilise and scuttle all the efforts of these merging Political parties, just to give it a bad name " the merger can never work between these parties due to their selfish regional interests". What can be done to please the world? Rochas Okorocha did not negotiate that is the crime now, as if you were in the meeting where the Negotiations took place between your perceived negotiating parties. You should think and reason before you type nonsense please because your write is too myopic, Naïve and speaks volume of your ignorance in the matters of Democracy and politics especially as it concerns our Nation. |
moodswing: When most kids come here to write about how GEJ will be affected for not giving in to the disrespectful demands of few political bandit, I just laugh and usually tempted not to join issues with anyone. This doesn't call for being kind or not, it is called Democracy you who knows the game. Tell what any Democratically elected Government can do to 4even sitting Governors at a time, even when you think the worst has happened in our democracy, because I know you'll mention OBJ as an example, how many Governors was he able to dispose? And mind you that things have changed I think that's one thing some people are failing to understand, several things have changed in our politics. Even with all the EFCC, ICPC, Abj impeachments, still OBJ was not able to remove his vice Atiku nor gain judgement on all his embattled Governors, instead he lost out on his third term bid and had his daughter messed up politically. No man is an island especially with the way Nigerian politics is going. |
Afam4eva: Like Omehia like Andy Uba. It's funny how someone will win an election and the court will award the victory to someone who didn't even contest the election.in Amaechi's case I think that case should be laid to rest by now considering the fact that another guber election has taken place after that incident, otherwise, its the kinda manipulation the PDP always bring to play whenever they want something done in their favour, they are masters in twisting the constitution and issues, lack of equity, justice, or even the rule of law. In Andy's case, its same PDP abragadabra, Obi's tenure was yet to expire before went ahead to organise the election because OBJ wanted to return the favour by installing his errand boy and looting accomplice Andy Ubah as Anambra state Governor by all means. |
Anybody who doubts this write up can as well doubt if there is a God or you've not followed the crises from the start. If Governor Amaechi allows PEJ to control Rivers state as she is indeed controlling Bayelsa and Abia states, I can bet with my life that his rift with the Presidency will instantly become a thing of the past. As a matter of fact, about 85% of the revenue accruing from the 41oil wells that's being ceded to Abia and Bayelsa states belongs to the first lady and that's why they were given to those states to hold them in proxy for her since Governor Amaechi does not want to play ball as usual. The Government is broke, no doubt, the looted funds are now greater than available funds for running of the economy. |
kel4soft: One of their Chieftain actually claim on 15th of October that, Amaechi just have 30days in Government house. Still waiting for their new Governor. Maybe they will have factional Governor as usual.Lol for their dream, are u in phc as well? What about the new PHC and the estate project going on? |
GDI? That's Gragra Development Iniative. All their things will end in Gragra as usual. |
spyder880: Ok, we are back on this site, we have been arranging with suppliers of cement, sand wood etc to ease up all supply logistics. Now we are set to begin here as from next week. The waiting period id over and action can now commence here. more pictures next week. Can I do the tile supplies for you pls? |
speedyboi: Those were words of Paul ....,,,not Jesus. These apostles were humans like us....they also made mistakes. It's your duty as a christian to learn from their mistakes and also copy their right ways. You shouldn't take everything hook, line and sinker! Only the words that came out of Jesus mouth is devoid of any errors. And Jesus was what? Bible and Christian issues *sighs* always contradictory and confusing, people only choose the ones they like and leave the rest for God. That's the way I see it. |
caseless: Of course, yes! How do u expect me to react when i'm being paid to stop 'commiting' sin in the name of fornication? I go accept am die!So only sex is sin right? And you won't get married? Maybe you'll use the money and become a drug addict. |
So all what you can do is to search people's phone for their private pictures only to send it/them to the internet? Did the person ask u to do that for him/her? I think its quite very irresponsible for anyone to intrude or poke nose into people's privacy, not to talk of making it public, that's the height of Irresponsibility and it calls to question the level of such person's education, morals and conscience. Nevertheless the people who did spread the Pictures should have being the ones receiving the punishment if I was to be in the VC's shoes and not the poor girl at least that will serve as a deterrent for people to respect other people's privacy and allow private things to remain private. |
I am not surprised at all, in fact things might really go worse than this if care is not taken.... Ghana started drifting immediately their former President Late Prof. John Attah mills (may his soul RI)P gave up the ghost, Corruption was on the display, from looting, political manipulation, etc, of course one need not be surprise at all, anywhere you see Nigerians troop into, especially when the Leader of that Nation is a close friend or loyalist to Nigeria's Head of state, watch out as Evil manners will corrupt good attitude. Meanwhile, I'll believe that Ghanians are more eager to leave their country more than Nigerians because as Baba Fela described our condition as "suffering and smiling" besides its more difficult to live from average to Nothing than from nothing to average. |
Did he just say these things or he read them from his well prepared papers? Kai! This our President like to read essay, and see as waka de sweet am. |
wazoboy: Now dere s no Xtian Muslim dichotomy to use, so its catholic protestant dichotomy! My brother follow me see o, and this is how "we must divide" will work in the new Biafra, now one need to not to ask who has being the pioneer of segregational, Regional, Tribal or Religious dichotomy politics in Nigeria because its too obvious and glaring before all of us as we can see. Who is marginalising who now to bring about this evil dichotomy? Maybe the Protestants against the Catholics. Greed, cunning, hypocrisy, sycophants, all these you can find in this region of the Country, yet they will forever cry foul of being marginalised. |
It is a thing of joy and confusion as I pass through sports bars/viewing centres as well as on a thread here on Nairaland. I saw pure Love, Unity, Zeal and total patriotism, devoid of Nepotism and sycophancy. And I was forced to ask myself what has/is happening, has Nigeria catch a flu or did the Messiah come down, what actual is doing this miracle? And immediately, I realised It's football day and Nigeria is playing the finals of the U- 17. WYC against Mexico in the UAE. There and then I told myself as I've always being convinced that our problem as a Nation is not to divide nor Tribe, Religion nor Region, our problem is simply lack of understanding or our own intentional conviction not to believe that we are indeed one, because by the chants and sitting arrangements, all you can see is just one Nigeria. As you pass these viewing centres and bars, even in different sports forums, you hardly hear or see any atom of discrimination amongst us, now if we can be this united openly and on the streets, why should we then allow some wicked individuals to make us think and believe that we are not and will never be united?. I know this is the same scenario everywhere in this Country, as long as it is football, we are a United one Nigeria. Nigeria oh Nigeria, how Patriotic are we?. |
In here we are Nigerians, outside this forum now, we are either Hausa, Yoruba or Igbo. What a shame? |
FreeGlobe: If Ngige eventually wins this election, let it be on record that his party APC contributed absolutely 0% in making his victory possible, Anambra people will support Ngige in ANY party. we will still Vote GEJ 100% in 2015You are so pathetic, gush! |
FreeGlobe: cement the bond of friendship indeed by deporting igbos in Lagos abi? Most everything be politicised? Most you say something even when its obvious you don't have anything to say? Sometimes you wonder the kinda education we have in this country, every 4months our universities clear people for NYSC still when you come to the society, you don't see the impact of the thousands of graduates we produce. At least they say Education is a tool for Nation building and development but why is our own different? People are too naïve and myopic that they talk anyhow without thinking. May God save Nigeria. |
