Do you think this new rate would affect pple that had already applied before june 15 cos 13m before june 15th was about 37000cad but as the rate went up now 13m is now 27,000Cad.. so the issue now is if IRCC would use the old rate of 345 for pple that applied bfr the change of rate Accessed: This rate indicates N485 to 1CAD for Jun 15th. That's a jump from N349 it indicated on the 14th.
Also, Oanda jumped to N379 to 1 CAD from the N349 the previous day.
I hope IRCC will not expect applicants to start using these figures as the basis for computing POF. |

Response NEEDED OH PLS Dessymond394: The current exchange rate now is something else Would this current exchange rate affect those that have already applied for their visas before this change in exchange rate? Because now 13million naira is just 27,000Cad which was about 37,000cad before the change of rate. And those applying now needs to show more money in their acc statement. What are your inputs? Would these new rate affect those that applied before the change of the rate.. cos me I applied first week of this month? Responses needed oh pls |

I need reply oh..please.. anyone? Dessymond394: Hello pple Someone having a very low balance or a zero balance in between your account statement does not matter as long as the account is very active, good inflow and outflow and has a good starting balance and closing balance For example An account statement of 4months that has an opening bal of 500k but inbetween the very active inflow and outflow there was a -200k balance at some point but it rose up almost immediately.. Having very active inflow and outflow.. inflow of 73m and outflow of 60m and a closing balance of 13m.. it's a personal account used for daily transactions.. though evidence of source of funds documents are attached as the owner of the account owns a contracting firm.. Is this account good to go? Need answers please. |

That was the generic reason I got at first when my last application was refused. But the GCMS by the VO said I failed to proof the relationship with my brother (sponsor) thus he is not sure if the person is really my brother and if he will provide the funds. So that why I got that insufficient funds and assets... that is why is always better to.order your GCMS note to know.the exact reason for Visa refusal because the normal refusal reason to you is just generic reason. GCMS NOTES SPECIFY THE EXACT REASON FOR VISA REFUSAL I.hope you get me now.. jaydave: What about this part , isn’t necessary right ? |

Done that. I just added a little to my SOP..my previous SOP covered all important details cos it was just proof of relationship btw my sponsor and I was the reason for my last refusal.. SO MY Loe addressed just the documents I added to tackle the lack of proof of relationship in my last application.. Chechem: In addition to the concerns that you are addressing, add othe important details, like the course and how it relates to your work, why you chose the school, proof of fund etc. Every bew application is viewed on its merit, they won't go and pull out the SOP in your previous application.
So write a complete LOE. Simply just get your previous SOP and include the concerns your are addressing there. |

The number of pages doesn't matter. Everyone's story is different As long as your LOE or SOP contains all the required details If you have many pages, you would merge and compress the pages so the storage space of the pages wont be large cos using the Gc key portal, your uploads should not be more than 4mb.. Olumain4: My LOE is 7 pages.(writing only) If I add my documents, it will skurocket to 30 pages.
How una dey do am in 3pages. |

In the previous application I didn't add birth certificate or attestationof birth of my sponsor, I added just his international passport in the last application. I didn't add notarized affidavit of relationship,I didn't add a notarized gift deed document , I didn'tadd recent pic of my brother(sponsor) and I and lastly I didn't add any proof of financial assistance in the past.. All these i added now as I plan to submit the application in few days for September intake.. I have a strong feeling that I will get my visa approved this time cos I dotted all the i's and crossed all the T's and I also quoted the gcms reason the immigration officer gave AND I did a LOE to list the new documents and pictures added to tackle the previous refusal.. zubizareta: I am confused. You did all you listed above in your previous application and was still refused or you are listing what you plan to do and reapply.
Reapply with a proper LOE, sometimes the VOs could miss out things. Attach everything concerning your brother from notarized sponsorship letter to previous commitments, pictures, birth certificates of both of u, etc attach them and upload both to the POF section as well as the client information section just incase the VO dey sleep. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Dessymond394: 1:12pm On Jun 04, 2023 |
Thanks.. I did notarized sponsorship letter in the last application. I added my brother attestation of birth/ age declaration(in place of his birth certificate, cos his birth certificate was missing) added a recent pic of both of us, he paid 11500cad for school fee deposit already as at the Last application and I added a notarized gift deed, 2 transfer proof of 400k each to me in the past as past evidence of financial assistance and a notarized affidavit of relationship... I guess m good to go.. zubizareta: Your case is simple and straightforward. You didn't show enough proof of relationship with your brother. Submit your brother and your own birth certificates. Attach pictures btw you and your brother. If there are evidences to show previous commitments from your brother gifting you money, attach receipts as much as you can. Notarize the sponsorship letter. If your brother can make a deposit of your tuition and attach receipt and evidence trail to show the payment was made by him that will even strengthen your case further in your next application. However, you can still go ahead with the last point. Just ensure the other points earlier stated are addressed. |

When applying next add transaction receipts 2 or more , add his tax clearance certificate add his business ID card.. and also your husband should should be the one to explain about his business himself in his support letter for you... order your GCMS note that's the best way to be sure of your exact refusal reason Terminalia: Thank you. I added his CAC docs, his personal MBS, bank ref letter, valuation report of our house and car papers. i did not attach transaction receipts but i explained what my hubby's business is about. hubby is into engineering services and he has a vendorship agreement with a bank, vendorship letter was attached. |

Hello bro.. according to the Canada immigration you need atleast 4months bank statement and you said the account has not been active and it has not taken in any money in the past 2months, in my own opinion that may be a RED flag.. why not use an account that has been active atleast active for the past one month. Olumain4: Hello everyone, kindly help solve this issue. My sponsor gifted me all my first year expenses (tuition + other expenses) 1. What is the duration of the bank account statement I should print for study permit?. 2. Will zero opening balance affect my study permit grant
My reason for asking is because the account is a savings account which had few or no transaction in last 2 months until the gifts.
3. Is less than a month duration okay?
3. Is it necessary to pay part of my school fee to increase study permit grant chances?
I appreciate if i can get several response and suggestion from everyone. Thank you. |

Did you submit your husband business document like tax clearance certificate,CAC document, did you add any of your husband landed property documents? Did you add transaction receipts from his business which act as proof that your husband busines is functioning and also Make sure your husband explains what his business is about? What type of business he is into, also submit your husband business card[quote Terminalia: Thank you. hubby is my sponsor and he travelled school fees balance and living expenses for my son and i into my account. he moved the fund between 2 weeks before i submitted. i explained that the fund was for my hubby, for my schl fees balance and living expense. he also transferred some of the fund from his business account and i got a reference letter from the bank that he is the sole signatory to the account. |

What do you do in this situation if your sponsor has already spent a large portion of money in the bank account? And then IRCC ask for an updated account statement..Can you replenish the acc and then send the updated balance to IRCC Madukachase: if you can give them almost exact SOA you used for app. you ppr is certain. they have doubts on your SOA, and want to be sure its not for demonstration purpose. i have seen it happen before. |

Oh I understand you better now.. I thought you were referring to the first amount of money you used in creating the bank account... I see that you are referring to the transaction balance shown for first day on your statement of account for visa application and not the amount you used in creating/opening your bank account...the account am about to use has less than 1k used in creating the bank account, the account has been very active for years.. I plan on using 4months statement, so the first transaction amount on the bank statement is what you are referring to.. my sponsor starting balance for feb was about 350k so am covered that is what you were trying to explain right?.. zubizareta: Build the acct. And give plausible explanations of lump sum. I am not saying every low opening balance leads to refusals, just saying some VO in the past have cited it as a red flag.
What u did was I built my acct for 2 months plus. The first sum I received was 300k on Feb 15th, so I generated my SOA from Feb 16th. So opening balance was 310k. Then I allowed daily cash inflow and outflows apart from other lump sums that entered which I also explained in details with proofs of receipts. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Dessymond394: 3:51pm On Jun 01, 2023 |
Ok.. so what do you do if your sponsor opening balance is low.my brother opening balance is low less than 1k cos he opened the account many years ago while he was still in the university...so what do you think can be done? zubizareta: Opening balance also matters. We have seen refusal notes posted here where VOs pointed out on low opening balance as one of reasons of rejection. Ofcourse you will explain lump sums and all that but if you can avoid low opening balance it will help your case. VOs differ, you never can tell the one you will meet handling your application |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Dessymond394: 1:53pm On Jun 01, 2023 |
Does opening balance really matter? I don't think so. Someone may have opened a bank account long time ago with even 1k but in a space of 4 month or even less, transaction of million can start entering the bank account..if the source of the funds can be proven if the owner of the account is into a business that's worth the millions coming in..my elder brother opening account balance is 1k cos he opened the account while he was still in the university now the account is worth millions.. under 4 months that same account read above 10m cos he owns a constructing company and also a lecturer in the UK now. I think proving the source of funds is what Is important and good closing balance and not the opening balance.. you can oppose with good reason if you think am wrong zubizareta: Proof of funds: From my experience, period of acct statement generated doesn't matter much as long as you can follow these guidelines. 3 months is okay sef. Though the recommended duration is 4 months minimum as stated on ircc website.
Ensure your opening balance isn't so low and suddenly you have a high closing balance of millions. Vo might see it as demonstrate purposes.
If any lump sums, explain them in details. Allow other inflow and outflow to happen in that acct apart from the lump sums. That opening and closing balance difference is very important. So if you are planning to submit your application say by July, you ought to have built your acct starting from April atleast with a healthy opening balance. So by July, that would be 3 months duration. I submitted mine with a duration of just 2 months and 2 weeks. |
