Sports / Consequences Of Firing Berti Vogts by detruth: 12:36pm On Jan 28, 2008
Since most people calls for the firing of Berti Vogts, a member of NFA annonymously declared in Punch this morning that it will cost Nigeria a fortune if the German's contract is terminated before the end of his tenure. What did you see about it? Is this one of those tricks to keep him on? Remember the coach said the other time that he will definiately finish his tenure no matter the outcome of Eagles' performaces in Ghana! (Did you call that Shameless?)

@goodguy,live-life and others

Stop decieving yourself. Cele is rather a cult and never a Church. Every of their doctrine points to this. I am related to Bada and so also my friend (one of Ajanlekoko's son who now changed his name to Adeoye). We all know the evil inside. Even though you outside worshipper can be decieved, not us. You can't understand better than that.
Cele is a lovely "fraternity" to carnally minded church goers. You rather need to understand what is means to be set free by the truth. Everybody knows Transmission (one of his wards even testifies earlier). Give your life to Jesus and let your eyes be open or else the end may lead to regrets. God bless you!

That is their usual behaivour. They make big promises before they get you and later on change with an excuse that they have a load of work in their hands or that the fault is from their HQ. My advise is to either report them to their HQ or manage 2 broking firm and making each of them to know that you have althernatives. "Bad pikin get hin own day". Even to transfer your stocks in between brokers will always take a lenght of time (about a year) because it involves the signing out of your former broker (and you know delay tactics, because they will not want you to go)
Business / Re: Buy And Hold Your Dollars, Usd Kicking Back Watch Out. by detruth: 2:07pm On Jan 19, 2008

Hello Everyone,

I have seen alot of topics over the internet bout the Yankees going into a Slump, well few days ago Fed. Chairman Ben Bernake gave a speech where he addressed House committee members and he advised that a stimulus package be unvieled that would be fast and very effective. Sure bush is working on that and it would be revealed soonest. Well this problem basically started off from the Housing sector, so it riippled out into other sectors of the economy and thereby giving fears to a Reccession. What is Reccession?

Reccession is Two straight quarters of negative growth, or the period between the peak and the trough. So we have seen the last quarter ( thats last year show signs of negative growth in the US)

Now with the stimulus package coming out, watch out and see how $1 would bounce back to N129-N135 before the second quarter of this year.

JUst keep your hands crossed as you watch other currencies as well as our beloved naira crash against the almighty USD.

Stay Tuned

@ Wanaj0, Pumping777 and to whom it may concern

Guys I need help, I want to open a new account with a reliable brokers (with online access) Afrinvest is the first name that comes to my mind base on the positive stories I have read on this thread.

My question, is it possible to open an account with them without being in Nigeria?  If yes how do I go about it? I have about $10,000 to use in opening the account is this enough?

You cannot! Your broker will always require you real autentic signature for the registrars of those companies you wish to buy. Please watch out lest you fall into the hands of 419. Good luck!

Do'nt you see that there is a need to allow other subsector enjoy the gain of public offer also. Damm the reps, I have no business with them, I definately have interest in total turn around of Nigerian economy. Bros I may not be livin in Nigeria, but am a true "shon of the shoil"

walcolm:

detruth,

u don't want to be predicting any crash based on what the people in the House of Rep or senate are doing!!! it is common knowledge that these guys have no clue what they should really be doing at any point in time. is banning banks from coming to the equities market what nigeria needs to solve the myriad of problems we are facing at this time? are they not supposed to be creating enabling laws that make fraudualent and corrupt practises harder and also, easier to punish? are they not supposed to be creating laws that facilitates and encourage entrepreneurship

please, don't get people started on you with this your post. just lay it to rest or hinge your line of thinking on something more credible than the House of reps

cheers

Sorry if you feel insulted, I never meant that. am just trying to let you know why they have much intrest in the market. Remember, where your treature is, there your mind will be.

Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by detruth: 5:47pm On Jan 18, 2008
I think the best trategic move now is to go and take your stand in secondary market. Try insurance sector. They are all soon coming for their inital public offer. By the time poeple are waiting for certificate or CSCS queuing in, you are already making your gain. This is according to Warren Buffet theory, "buy while others are selling and wait to sell when others are buying"
Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by detruth: 5:37pm On Jan 18, 2008
Listen to thsi wisdom. Most of thsoe people in the house has most of their monies in all these stocks (even more than you). They saw something coming, that is why I can't blame them much.
kpineo:

Bros no vex now. u see say she shine teeth put. But i don't think it is the house of reps duty to make sure a pronounciation. Lets see if anybody listens to them. time will tell.
Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by detruth: 5:32pm On Jan 18, 2008
I am never Primate Adebayo, ask them in Walls street. they don't gamble reading the tables on news papers to know waht to buy. There are technical details. If you want the full statistics, shwo intrest by giving me a call.
kpineo:

grin grin anyone on this forum remember Primate Olabayo, Abiola must have died like 4 times at the hands of that guy. I guess while some see doom, some will be making money. Na so life be.

I believe that is the least you know. We have so many babies in the market nowadays. I have being involved in stock market in Nigeria since about6 years ago. In am wrong, then why is the house of rep placing a ban on banks coming for public offers. Have'nt yo read papers today?

Friend! Be careful of all these banks that keep coming back for more public offers. What have they done with the ones they collected few months ago. I take about likes of UBA, Zenith, FirstBanks. Watchout the banking subsector will soon fall for the insurance subsector. We can all see it on secondary market!
