I had UK and Canada visitor visa refusals and about to apply for UK study visa but the school representative handling my application says l should not declare the refusals. Please gurus advice.

Ok in this case you only declare visa refusal, since you did not apply for any visa then you do not need to declare any in your visa application

MY family Canada visitor visa was approved from london Uk and we are on a UK student visa

Wife and two kids Application submitted on August 31, 2023 AND 5 years visitor approval September 15, 2023 ( just 10 business days )
Mine - Application submitted on September 27, 2023 AND 10 years visitor approval October 25, 2023 ) ( 22 business days )

Both of us acknowledged our U.S A. denials in 2017 and 2019. Initially, I failed to declare mine, prompting me to withdraw the application. Subsequently, I submitted a new application after completing a webform disclosing both the U.S. refusal and the cancellation of the initial application. In total, I submitted two webforms – the first addressing the U.S. refusal and the second addressing the application cancellation. Following that, I proceeded to submit a new application on September 27, 2023.

We spent two weeks in Canada and have now returned to the UK.

So you can wait it out, Or just cancel the application using a webform and reapplying again immediately

Can a dependent travel with a passport with 5 months validity from now (August)
Visa has been issued since January and the dependent is expected to be in the UK to collect her BRP

I need an advice house

Visa is issued on a passport with a 6 month validity but new passport is ready for pick-up because passport has been processed to avoid issues of expired passport

If the passport is picked up and the old passport is cancelled, can one still travel with both old and new, bearing that the visa vignette is on the old passport

From all that you've said, I can't see any issue here. But remember that case workers are humans and the make mistakes and have their own biases even though there are policies they should be guided by.
Now, technically, because she's had previous refusals, she would have been tagged as high risks - the question for them is, were those previous refusals warranted/legitimate.
I'm sure you would be fine.
What I would do in your case is to call them as many times as possible, send as many mails as possible until you get the answer you want. Another thing I will do is to barrage them beyond reasonable doubt that the child in question is indeed my child - ie provide as many documents as you can get beyond birth certificate. School correspondence addressed to either of the parents, pictures, hospital appointments from very early age, immunisation documents if you still have them.

or has anyone received a refusal after collection mail

Rate as at time of application was N540/1GBP. It has now risen to N560 on oanda..
NB: Only one dependent is still waiting for decision, the others have their visas a week ago

We don't plan for her to abandon her studies, we just want her to be able to come during her holidays as there won't be anyoneto go back to Nigeria to meet during her holidays

As per the, maybe we just leave it till her decision is made

Is she still studying? How does she intend to finish her studies?

I don't see an issue if you provided all the documents needed and declared the previous refusals.

If the reason for touching your POF is for Uni then please keep the evidence for it (i.e rent ,fees or bills) just incase it is requested for.

Could you help look into this for your advise

We have a daughter that's in University outside of Nigeria, she is 17, she was denied UK visit visa twice because ECO states that he doesn't believe she is going on a visit

Her siblings have had UK and Schenghen visas

They were all dependents in our application, but she submitted her application from her base, while we did ours from Nigeria just with a day difference (hers was earlier)

MA has arrived UK while the others are planning to join soon but she alone doesn't have her decision made yet

We did a paid mail and were told that it will be escalated

Please what could be the issue that only her is having this issue (she also didn't do TB test cos it is not a requirement where she is based

Also, can we touch our POF? Applications were submitted since 21st December and everyone else have a decision except her

One advise i will give applicants is once you see transferred to VAC and you didn’t use DHL pickup service . pls go and pickup your Visa without waiting for Collection mail . There are lots of Passport waiting for the owner at TLS contact . i met a lady yesterday that her tracking show transferred to VAC , she showed up and are passport is ready .

What about people that already had a decision for days and even received BRP Mail and yet the status is still received at DMC...not yet transferred to VAC
