You belong to the Executive - a very strong branch of govt. Your party has the majority in the NASS. You have an influence over the Judiciary by virtue of selection of judges and more importantly you had the goodwill and support of many Nigerians and the entire international community... I'ev read through pages 1-31 and I can safely say people are very ignorant and jealous. The USA is better than this God forsaken country called Nigeria. You are very certain to live a decent life if you work hard enough. Nobody will cheat you, nobody will threaten you. In naija, everyone wants to show power with the ''do you know who I am'' syndrome. All because na friend to army general or because na government secretary or because he met a top politician at a party. The health sector here is messed up, security zero, social amenities zero, education sector zero. Many of those children lectures in Nigerian universities will travel abroad to get a degree and now come back home to be forming james bond. Telling a child that he won't pass his course for no just reason. In the USA this is impossible. You are passed accordingly to how well you do in examinations. Its in Nigeria where a private soldier will feel he is greater than a SAN lawyer. They feel they are untouchable. In the USA, they love their military. Sometimes ago, i saw a pic on the net of a Nigerian posing for a photo with the US navy seals. He captioned it ''if na naija who born me to try this kind thing''. Its even better living in slums in the USA than living in gwagwalada, maitama, lekki, VGC, asokoro or banana island here in this useless country. In the USA, if you have a problem, you just call 911 and the call is transferred to the necessary department. In naija can that ever happen. Zero power supply, corruption, mis management, look at our universities, what we boast of here can't even be ranked among the top 20 in Africa and thousands in world. No improvement in the health sector either . Graduated from university years ago and everyday I still think of when I'll buy my own land, build my own house and do the many good things of life. I so much hate this country abeg. Make I just stop here before i vex use knife chook person but 1 final word is I'll gladly take the role of a cleaner or mortuary attendant in the USA. If i no build my own mansion in nigeria within 5 years then something is wrong somewhere.

Oga thats a very big fat lie. In this present Naija, you can't get a 2bed apartment for that amount, except of course in an underdeveloped area. I was at Abuja recently to visit a family there. They are a young couple with 2 kids. Thay stay in a 2 bed apartment and they pay a milli per annum.

Also, i have been to America amd planning to finally relocate there. I was there for 6 months this year already and i know how life is there and know what Naija people there are achieving. Believe it or not, an ordinary salary earner or even a cab driver in America is far better than a bank manager here in Naija. After house rent, gas and electricity bills, Naija people over there still get to send money down home here and build houses and have investments here. That your assumption that a person doin normal job there can never build a duplex here till next 20 years is a big fat lie, make more research. You claim most Americans dont have up to 10k savings in theor account? You really more ignorant. Have you asked yourself this, the Americans people getting scammed of thousands of dollars through wire, dating etc, how do those people get those savings? There are lots of Americans with as much as between 100k to over 1milli savings in their accounts. Get ya facts right.

Also, even if we wanna assume "Okay, most Americans dont have up to 10k savings" dont you fink they might not feel the need to? Since they are earning their income constantly without getting owed like Naija Govt does and they get money to meet their needs at the right time cos payment is stable. Also, they feel its their country and no need saving up since they aint planning runnin to any other place. And also, they have everything within their reach e.g power supply, water, good roads, health care etc. A serious Naija citizen would feel the need to be saving up constantly cos he knows its not his country and he has to tie things down back home. Definitely, he would be saving every dime he has to spare and send down here to be getting projects done and investments set up.

Naija people in yankee with decent jobs are making waves here in Naija, get yo facts right and stop being ignorant.

Why do ppl take house building as a sign or measurement of success? So once someone can build a house,iit means he is auccessful

There's too much added stress in nigeria for the average Joe, no electricity, poor healthcare- sorry is your case of you fall ill, air pollution everywhere, all sorts of unmonitored dangerous processed foods, body creams that people use.
There's a reason the life expectancy of Nigerians is much lower than the Americans and other westerners. They live till old age, and actually live life. We just continue to hustle till death searching for what is lost.
In your comparisons, you should have compared a bank manager abroad to one in Nigeria, a Dr abroad to one in Nigeria, a manual worker abroad to one in Nigeria.

If I was in your shoes wallhi I will never beg for 5k what will I do with it? a person that begs has a very low self esteem, and a person with a low self esteem hardly succeed in life, am not coursing any one but it is the reality. Let's say no to begging pls.

secondly those people that are busy sharing money in here, they are just worsening the matter they ain't helping at all. why would you guys keep on sharing money in adult forum like nairaland, I believe that each and every person on nairaland have the money to buy phones and some they can even afford laptops and they will still come here and start unnecessary begging, most of the people on nairaland are probably 15years and above they Can go out there and use their talent, intelligence, and energy for their daily living.

please and please anyone that is willing to help a soul financially, they should go out there, there are many starving children, orphans, physically challenged people and old folks that need the money more than the people begging in here.
