babatee1985: To become rich in Nigeria is not as hard as people see it. All you need is God's favour, divine connection and capital to invest on lucrative business. N.B- Salary earners are not among the wealthy men in the whole world. Assuming I'm a salary earner, my life won't be this good financially. Embrace lucrative business and see how you will be making cool money everyday. |

All d miracles of JESUS were great. However, i still respect, d Raising of dead LAZARUS who had been buried for good four days. Also, & d one i respect most is d catching of great fishes by peter & his colleagues at d comand of JESUS. This are professioner fishermen who had toiled all nights but had taken nothing, but they caught lots of fishes so that their nets began to break, & their ships began to sink. The question i always ask is that, WHERE DID THOSE FISHES CAME FROM, AT D COMMAND OF JESUS?? This miracle of JESUS to me is so great. |

Augustap I tink i hav answered d question. d fact dt d govt allowed d activities of motorcycle operators in d state makes d demand for new motorcycles so high, hence d smooth trading as a dealer, without any major risk involved. |

I got ur point & i think hav already answered it. I already know d risk involved in being a motorcycle dealer due to my experience with some of them. Every bizness had its various risk hence d need to be extra careful & somone has to make up his mind to face whatever challenge dt may arise. With d little experience i had in trading on motorcycles, i am sure to be able to handle d risk involved by d grace of GOD. Moreso, d fact dt d govt of ONDO state allowed d peaceful activities of motorcycle operators also make d demand for new motorcycles on daily basis so high. Sir, my enviroment is condusive enough for d bizness should i see d required capital to start with, even in a little way. |

Augustap U may be right Sir, but here in my state, "ONDO" Cyclist are permitted to operate freely without any disturbance from d govt, though d police sometimes may try to interfere in d activities of d cyclists atimes by extorting money from us somehow, that even dont last. My submission is dt motorcycle operators dont really hav any problem here in ONDO STATE, unlike Lagos & other big states or cities. However, i am into d operation for some time now, so i fully understand d risk involved & d measure to put in place to avoid or reduce it, thereby making ur cool money daily,. |

Who did you people think you were going to be up against when you declared a war against corruption, civil servants
You are the ones in control of EFCC, NPF, Min Of Justice, Nig Army and so on yet you come here to complain to us that some ppl somewhere are frustrating your efforts. How exactly are they frustrating your efforts gan sef or what else do you want us to do more after electing you into power? Why are Elites in USA, Norway, China not impeding justice in their own countries...
You belong to the Executive - a very strong branch of govt. Your party has the majority in the NASS. You have an influence over the Judiciary by virtue of selection of judges and more importantly you had the goodwill and support of many Nigerians and the entire international community... Yet you want to shift blame to some faceless elites and religious leaders.. Irresponsible Nigerian leaders... I so much love dis reasonable & precise submission. Its like blaming other ppl for their gross incompetence is in their DNA. I just wonder how long it would took them to accept responsibilities, just for once. |

NwaChibuzor: I'ev read through pages 1-31 and I can safely say people are very ignorant and jealous. The USA is better than this God forsaken country called Nigeria. You are very certain to live a decent life if you work hard enough. Nobody will cheat you, nobody will threaten you. In naija, everyone wants to show power with the ''do you know who I am'' syndrome. All because na friend to army general or because na government secretary or because he met a top politician at a party. The health sector here is messed up, security zero, social amenities zero, education sector zero. Many of those children lectures in Nigerian universities will travel abroad to get a degree and now come back home to be forming james bond. Telling a child that he won't pass his course for no just reason. In the USA this is impossible. You are passed accordingly to how well you do in examinations. Its in Nigeria where a private soldier will feel he is greater than a SAN lawyer. They feel they are untouchable. In the USA, they love their military. Sometimes ago, i saw a pic on the net of a Nigerian posing for a photo with the US navy seals. He captioned it ''if na naija who born me to try this kind thing''. Its even better living in slums in the USA than living in gwagwalada, maitama, lekki, VGC, asokoro or banana island here in this useless country. In the USA, if you have a problem, you just call 911 and the call is transferred to the necessary department. In naija can that ever happen. Zero power supply, corruption, mis management, look at our universities, what we boast of here can't even be ranked among the top 20 in Africa and thousands in world. No improvement in the health sector either . Graduated from university years ago and everyday I still think of when I'll buy my own land, build my own house and do the many good things of life. I so much hate this country abeg. Make I just stop here before i vex use knife chook person but 1 final word is I'll gladly take the role of a cleaner or mortuary attendant in the USA. If i no build my own mansion in nigeria within 5 years then something is wrong somewhere. I so much love d way u put it as it shuld be. d basis of dis debate is bias frm d bgining. why compare how money is made & saved btw two diff class of two diff countries, without comparing also d economy & other amenities dt makes life easier to live in both countries?? Upon all d money dt our politicians get, why travel abroad for medicals, vacations, shopping, & even education, for their children. Comparing Nigeria with America in whichever area is absolutely wrong, because GOD has already blessed America hence d reason why virtually everything works. Yes, u pay a lot of tax, but d fact remains dt u can absolutely enjoy wat u paid for, unlike here where wat u paid for in terms of electricity is DARKNESS everywhere, not to talk of other sectors,. |

MISTAICEY02288: Oga thats a very big fat lie. In this present Naija, you can't get a 2bed apartment for that amount, except of course in an underdeveloped area. I was at Abuja recently to visit a family there. They are a young couple with 2 kids. Thay stay in a 2 bed apartment and they pay a milli per annum.
Also, i have been to America amd planning to finally relocate there. I was there for 6 months this year already and i know how life is there and know what Naija people there are achieving. Believe it or not, an ordinary salary earner or even a cab driver in America is far better than a bank manager here in Naija. After house rent, gas and electricity bills, Naija people over there still get to send money down home here and build houses and have investments here. That your assumption that a person doin normal job there can never build a duplex here till next 20 years is a big fat lie, make more research. You claim most Americans dont have up to 10k savings in theor account? You really more ignorant. Have you asked yourself this, the Americans people getting scammed of thousands of dollars through wire, dating etc, how do those people get those savings? There are lots of Americans with as much as between 100k to over 1milli savings in their accounts. Get ya facts right.
Also, even if we wanna assume "Okay, most Americans dont have up to 10k savings" dont you fink they might not feel the need to? Since they are earning their income constantly without getting owed like Naija Govt does and they get money to meet their needs at the right time cos payment is stable. Also, they feel its their country and no need saving up since they aint planning runnin to any other place. And also, they have everything within their reach e.g power supply, water, good roads, health care etc. A serious Naija citizen would feel the need to be saving up constantly cos he knows its not his country and he has to tie things down back home. Definitely, he would be saving every dime he has to spare and send down here to be getting projects done and investments set up.
Naija people in yankee with decent jobs are making waves here in Naija, get yo facts right and stop being ignorant. I personally give 1million likes for dis sensible comment. I just wonder if America ppl dnt have much savings as d OP wants us to blv, how come our yahoo guys & other fraudsters making much money as huge as #20-50million at once sometimes?? Like some here once said, d point of dis debate shuld lie on INDIVIDUALITY. It is absolutely bias not to compare d economy & d amenities one stand to gain as a citizen or resident of both countries., |

onatisi: even in many african countries. The standard of living is far better than nigeria. And secondly, there is something very funny about the way we africans or should I say nigerians see things. Why do ppl take house building as a sign or measurement of success? So once someone can build a house, iit means he is auccessful 'Yes sir it does. Having a personal house of ur own where ever u live is a great privilege & a blessing to d family u house therein,. In today's world, having a decent accomodation with ur family is d 1st thing dt defines a man's standard of living, especially when u build it urself or u buy it outright. How many poor ppl can afford a normal 4bedroom flat in LEKKI, AJAH, VI, ABUJA, PH, & other naija cities?? not villages. To even have ur own house in d so called villages in today's naija is also by d GRACE of GOD & never thru d so called HARDWORK because many HARDWORK for naija don turn to HARDSHIP. My opinion though,. All these properties that yeild millons in rent per annum were built by someone & not spirits. Although success is in levels, but i think we also know what defines a poor man. |

eyinjuege: Americans would rather save like mad for a 4000 USD vacation. They don't joke with that at all. There's too much added stress in nigeria for the average Joe, no electricity, poor healthcare- sorry is your case of you fall ill, air pollution everywhere, all sorts of unmonitored dangerous processed foods, body creams that people use. There's a reason the life expectancy of Nigerians is much lower than the Americans and other westerners. They live till old age, and actually live life. We just continue to hustle till death searching for what is lost. In your comparisons, you should have compared a bank manager abroad to one in Nigeria, a Dr abroad to one in Nigeria, a manual worker abroad to one in Nigeria. She is absolutely right. Dis is d reason y parents are advised to bear children dt can be catered for. why did he/she hav to go for d job in d 1st place.?? sending a house help to school aint d compulsory duty of his/her oga/madam. Parents are to TRY to cater for deir children basic needs, including basic education. Allowing a child to go & work as a house help aint an opportunity to shift d education responsibility to d employer. However, a passionate oga/madam may decide to assist d maid educationally out of LOVE & COMPASSION, but definitely not her duty. Her duty is to ensure her safety, up-keeps, & of course her SALARY, either monthly or at d end of d year. Finally, dis is y it is nt advisable to employ an under age kid as maid, but an adult & a matured person who can truly be entrusted with d care of d home & also d children, probably som1 over d age of 20yrs old,. |

All these points & steps to being wealthy without d required start-up capital are pure ZERO,. SMH all I can see are bunch of hopeless youth's that have no future plan. Begging is never an option even if you are physically challenged.
what will you guys do with 5000? what will you buy with it? 5k is nothing but a mere chicking change.
If I was in your shoes wallhi I will never beg for 5k what will I do with it? a person that begs has a very low self esteem, and a person with a low self esteem hardly succeed in life, am not coursing any one but it is the reality. Let's say no to begging pls.
secondly those people that are busy sharing money in here, they are just worsening the matter they ain't helping at all. why would you guys keep on sharing money in adult forum like nairaland, I believe that each and every person on nairaland have the money to buy phones and some they can even afford laptops and they will still come here and start unnecessary begging, most of the people on nairaland are probably 15years and above they Can go out there and use their talent, intelligence, and energy for their daily living.
please and please anyone that is willing to help a soul financially, they should go out there, there are many starving children, orphans, physically challenged people and old folks that need the money more than the people begging in here.
homeless children are starving on the street. I will rather help one child on the street than to waste my money in here.
