IGBOSON1: ....I've always said it that Nigerian Doctors, Nurses and other medical personnel are mainly materialistic, greedy, arrogant and short-tempered little hitlers, and are in it just for the money......You did not describe The Nigerian Doctors and Nurses, you have only just described the greater population of Nigerians including yourself. Nigeria has an institutional problem. Let us find the way to mend our institutions rather than conveniently throwing blames at individuals and groups. |

There are many pieces of evidence about which I could write; here I choose one: The Second Law of Thermodynamics. A formal definition of The Second Law of Thermodynamics is: “In any closed system, a process proceeds in a direction such that the unavailable energy (the entropy) increases.” In other words, in any closed system, the amount of disorder always increases with time. Things progress naturally from order to disorder, or from an available energy state to one where energy is more unavailable. A good example: a hot cup of coffee cools off in an insulated room. The total amount of energy in the room remains the same (which satisfies the first law of thermodynamics). Energy is not lost, it is simply transferred (in the form of heat) from the hot coffee to the cool air, warming up the air slightly. When the coffee is hot, there is available energy because of the temperature difference between the coffee and the air. As the coffee cools down, the available energy is slowly turned to unavailable energy. At last, when the coffee is room temperature, there is no temperature difference between the coffee and the air, i.e., the energy is in an unavailable state. The closed system (consisting of the room and the coffee) has suffered what is technically called a “heat death.” The system is “dead” because no further work can be done, since there is no more available energy. The second law says that the reverse cannot happen! Room temperature coffee will not get hot all by itself, because this would require turning unavailable energy into available energy. Now consider the entire universe as one giant closed system. Stars are hot, just like the cup of coffee, and are cooling down, losing energy into space. The hot stars in cooler space represent a state of available energy, just like the hot coffee in the room. However, The Second Law of Thermodynamics requires that this available energy constantly change to unavailable energy. In another analogy, the entire universe is winding down like a giant wind-up clock, ticking down and losing available energy. Since energy is continually changing from available to unavailable, someone had to give it available energy in the beginning! (In other words, someone had to wind up the clock of the universe at the beginning.) Who or what could have produced energy in an available state in the first place? Only someone or something not bound by The Second Law of Thermodynamics. Only the Creator of The Second Law of Thermodynamics could violate it and create energy in a state of availability in the first place. As time goes forward (assuming things continue as they are), the available energy in the universe will eventually turn into unavailable energy. At this point, the universe will be said to have suffered a heat death, just like the coffee in the room. The present universe, as we know it, cannot last forever. Furthermore, imagine going backwards in time. Since the energy of the universe is constantly changing from a state of availability to one of less availability, the further back in time one goes, the more available the energy of the universe. Using the clock analogy again, the further back in time, the more wound up the clock. Far enough back in time, the clock was completely wound up. The universe therefore cannot be infinitely old. One can only conclude that the universe had a beginning, and that beginning had to have been caused by someone or something operating outside of the known laws of thermodynamics. Is this scientific proof for the existence of a creator God? I think so. Evolutionary theories of the universe cannot counteract the above arguments for the existence of God. https://answersingenesis.org/creation-scientists/john-m-cimbala-mechanical-engineering/ |
Like all evolutionists, Darwin had to assume the truth of the Bible in order to argue against the truth of the Bible. Evolutionists often attempt to use observational science—arguments from biology, paleontology, geology, or even astronomy—to support their belief. But the really interesting thing is that they base all their arguments on principles that ultimately come from biblical creation! As strange as it may sound, evolutionists must unwittingly assume that creation is true in order to argue against it. That means that Darwin was (in a sense) a “creationist.” All evolutionists must borrow the principles of biblical creation in order to do science (even though they would deny this). Here is why. The Bible Provides the Foundation for an Orderly Universe To do science, certain things must be true. The universe must be logical and have some organization to it. Moreover, the human mind must be capable of rational thought—capable of considering the various alternatives and then choosing the best. But if evolution were true, then we would have no reason to expect either of these conditions. If this world were nothing but a cosmic accident, if our brains were nothing but rearranged pond scum, then why would they be able to understand the universe? On the other hand, a biblical creationist has every reason to expect scientific inquiry to be possible. The Bible teaches that God made the universe and the human mind, so we would expect these two things to “go together.” Moreover, since God gave Adam the responsibility to care for creation, it makes sense that He would have given Adam the ability to understand the natural world. The Bible Is the Foundation for Logic Logical reasoning itself only makes sense in a biblical worldview. To make a logical argument about anything, we have to use laws of logic. But if the universe is just matter in motion (as many evolutionists believe), laws of logic wouldn’t exist since laws of logic are not made of matter. Laws of logic are “rules” that help us distinguish correct from incorrect forms of reasoning. But in an evolutionary universe, why should there be a standard for reasoning, and who is to say what that standard is? How could we ever really know for certain the laws of logic? In the biblical creation worldview, however, laws of logic make sense. They reflect the thinking of God who upholds the entire universe by His power. God is our standard for correct thinking because all truth is in Him. We can know about laws of logic because God has made us in His image and has revealed some of His thoughts to us in His Word. We can expect laws of logic to be universally true and never change because they stem from the nature of God. So, when evolutionists such as Charles Darwin attempt to use science and logic, they reveal the fact that in their heart of hearts they know the God of creation. The Bible Makes Sense of Rules of Behavior Additionally, evolutionists believe in a moral code: a standard for how we should think and behave. But the idea of a moral code goes back to biblical creation. Since God has created us, He has the right to set the rules of behavior. In fact, the Bible tells us that the law is written on our hearts. However, if people were just complex chemicals and our decisions were just chemical reactions, then people wouldn’t have any genuine choice in what they do. If we were not created by God, then any moral code invented by people would just be arbitrary opinion. This doesn’t mean that evolutionists don’t act morally, but those who reject biblical creation have no ultimate basis for their morality. So when evolutionists tell us how to think or behave, they are acting as if they believe in creation. Their actions reveal that they embrace an objective moral code, even though they have no basis for it in their professed worldview. The fact that evolutionists believe in science, rationality, and morality is inconsistent with their professed belief in evolution. This shows that in their hearts, they really know the God whose Word they are attacking, even though they verbally deny this. They “suppress” the truth, as the Scripture teaches (Romans 1:18–25). From Darwin to Dawkins, all evolutionists have relied upon their suppressed knowledge of the God of creation—as evidenced by their belief in science, logic, and morality. As a result of their failure to honor God or thank Him, their thinking is reduced to futile speculations (Romans 1:21). The notion of particles-to-people evolution is just one example of mankind’s speculations. But people cannot consistently function rationally with such a futile way of thinking. In their effort to construct arguments against biblical creation, evolutionists must unwittingly rely on the concepts that can come only from biblical creation. All knowledge is in Christ (Colossians 2:3). So anyone who wants to be consistently rational and scientific must submit to Him first (Proverbs 1:7). Christians who understand and embrace this truth have a powerful tool for defending the Christian faith and reaching the unsaved with the gospel. The next time someone tries to condemn the biblical view of origins using arguments from biology or other sciences, just remind him that scientific arguments make consistent, logical sense only when reality is understood from a biblical worldview, beginning with creation. Equipped with this powerful apologetics method, you can point out how all evolutionists must, in reality, assume that creation is true in order to attempt to logically argue against it. Beginning your discussions on the Scripture’s authority, you will stand on solid ground (Matthew 7:24–29). https://answersingenesis.org/charles-darwin/darwin-unwittingly-a-creationist/ |
A debate over biblical creation is a lot like a debate over the existence of air. Can you imagine two people debating whether or not air exists? What would the critic of air say? Whatever his arguments, he would have to use air in order to make them. Not only is air crucial to the survival of the critic, but air would have to exist in order for his arguments to be heard and understood . . . . In order for the critic of air to be able to make an argument, it would have to be wrong. Likewise, the evolutionist must use biblical creation principles in order to argue against biblical creation. In order for his argument to make sense, it would have to be wrong. Ironically, the fact that evolutionists are able to argue against creation proves that creation is true! The three paragraphs above are an excerpt from my latest book, The Ultimate Proof of Creation (with foreword by Ken Ham, Answers in Genesis president). With the arguments presented in this new book, I demonstrate that biblical creation absolutely must be true because it is a prerequisite for knowledge and science. That is, if creation were not true, science (or knowledge about anything whatsoever) would be impossible. For example: Orderly, mathematical laws of nature that describe the consistent clockwork operation of the universe are exactly what we would expect given that Christ upholds all things by the Word of His power (Hebrews 1:3). If the universe were really the chance product of a big bang, then why would it obey laws? The fact that the human mind is capable of rational thought and that our senses can reliably probe the universe makes sense given that God created the human mind and sensory organs (Genesis 1:27; Proverbs 20:12). An absolute, universal moral code by which we have knowledge of right and wrong only makes sense if there is a sovereign God who has created rules for us, and to whom we are accountable. A lot of creationists are under the mistaken impression that evolutionists would believe in creation if they simply had more “evidence.” But the Bible tells us that people already have enough evidence of the God of creation. Romans 1:19–20 makes this clear: “because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. . . . so that they are without excuse.” The key to defending the Christian faith—and sharing it with others—is to realize that the unbeliever already “knows” God, but has suppressed what he knows to be true. He denies with his lips what he knows in his heart. We can expose this suppressed knowledge of God by pointing out that the unbeliever unwittingly relies on creation principles when he attempts to reason or uses science or makes moral judgments. Like the “critic of air,” the unbeliever relies on the God of creation to argue against the God of creation. While we cannot cover everything in a short article like this (such as how to counter possible criticisms of the above argument), The Ultimate Proof of Creation gives readers an absolutely irrefutable argument for the Christian worldview. https://answersingenesis.org/evidence-for-creation/the-ultimate-proof-of-creation/ |

There are just a few persons who does not hide from the truth such as this OP, especially on the issues of Islamic and muslim affairs. Every attitude being described here is simply basic Human Nature. There is always a deep sense of solidarity toward who or what one perceives as his kind, not minding if that kind does right or wrong. What kills me about most muslims I meet (especially the ones I see here on NL) is the continual attempt to deny these basic human nature. They would rather choose to see the pointing out of these fundamental facts as an attack on Islam and muslims. So very few persons are willing, have the courage or even see it necessary to examine and re-examine themselves; human nature still I guess. Basic human nature is no respecter of religion, tribe or affiliations. It simply respects a sound and understanding mind. So, let us deal with these problems by first of all having a sound understanding of what the problems really are. Following. |
CityNG: And then when they get caught circumnavigating eBays policy that they agreed to then they'll blame it on Yahoo boys. How is using a US shipping address circumnavigating ebay policy? |
tonjeola: the seller tag it $20 to NigeriaI see. Thanks bro. Pls, can you help me with an estimated (average) cost of shipping a piece of phone (average weight) through one of these forwarders? |
legalwealth: All depends on the forwarding agent you are using and also the courier used. Thanks a lot legalwealth (love your username by the way). I have done some research on some forwarders (I've not made a choice yet), they quote an average of $4.5/lb. Pls, from your experience, are there other charges that may be added to these rates (maybe on packaging or other transit costs) that are not usually stated at first? For instance, if I want to ship in a product of exactly 1lb, do I get to pay just that $4.5 and nothing else? |
tonjeola: yes $20 to ship to Lagos. the rate depends on your bankThanks for the response. I am actually asking about the shipping rate sir (per kg/ per lb). |
tonjeola: YES,alway check that. like a blackberry seller, who accept to ship worldwide, wen i check with direct shipping to Nigeria, is $20 while to US address is $6, but remember, ur third party agent will charge u $20 to Lagos, so judge it.is this an just an illustration or do you really mean that it will cost just about $20 to ship a piece of phone to Lagos? Pls, at what rate is this done sir? Thanks, it's really important to me. |
legalwealth: I'm sure you got my message.it's much clearer to me now. Thanks a lot bro, you've very helpful. |
legalwealth: It depends though but there are enough free shipping to USA address. You must also consider the time it will take to get to you and as well the security of your item.I would assume then that it's best to get the seller to ship for free to a shipping company of your preference first. This could mean cheaper shipping and more security for you goods. |
legalwealth: Do you operate Internet Banking with them?pls can you help me and the guy just above. I need the same info he is asking for. |
45 views and not one reply! Wonder. Does this mean nobody here has shopped on ebay with Nigerian paypal yet? |
Is it possible to add a US address along with my original Nigerian address in my paypal account, and then mark it as my shipping address at ebay check-out? I'm aware most merchants do not ship directly to Nigeria. How do I go around this? Pls I need help. Thanks. |
