Whitehorse: Guy,
Stop displaying ignorance.
The INEC rule was amended after 2011, requiring all contestants to produce any qualification/certificate they claim to have. It was not so before 2011. That's why this issue is out now. The one shouting change cannot even see that the rules have been 'changed'. |

Please stop judging people with tweets, pictures and all. There is a pic. of Jonathan holding a wrong mouse to a PC. That doesn't mean he is a computer illiterate. I am one of the last persons on earth that will judge a person based on those things you mentioned. If you read my post well you will see I did not put the blame wholly on Osibanjo, but if GEJ is blamed for the actions of his ministers, Osibanjo should be blamed for this . There is no doubt someone from the APC camp, someone in Osibanjo's room tried to play a fast one one Nigerians, this should not be given an excuse. |

The fact that you boldly accepted the op's claim shows you recognise and accept truth when you see one. I do not know how much direct control Osibanjo has over his social media accounts, so we can't tell for sure if he is directly responsible for this, but one thing is clear, those pictures are the same and it shows we are being deceived. These are not signs of change, its the same old thing. Stealing alone is not corruption, lieing and deceit is corruption as well, and coming from a people who's main campaign point is fighting corruption, it's too serious to be brushed aside with the word 'anyway'. |

Boko haram was started for Islamist struggle and got fuelled as a result of desperation for power of these Northern bloc and tribes. Al Mustapha confession in the dailies is enough to tell what Nigeria really is and where it is heading to. If care is not taking the next version of boko haram would be a battle for freedom everyone will have to fight. Is the Al Mustapha's confession a recent one? I even hear some people here saying cheap/free internet is not a priority to Lagosians, what kind of statement is that for God's sake, in a time like? |
Politics › Re: Agbaje Promises Free Internet Access To Lagosians If He Wins by Dewze(m): 1:47pm On Jan 19, 2015 |
PerfumeRepublik: Hmmm. There's nothing like free Wifi. How will he do this? Internet in homes or creating free internet hubs? How much does internet really cost that Lagos government can not pay for? He really does not have to put it in every homes like electricity but at least in various places in each local government areas. I do not believe internet access is as expensive as the telecoms and ISPs in Nigeria make it to be. It should be made free or at least very cheap. Either way is very achievable. We should not all scream, lies! What we should be doing now is asking him to enlighten Lagosians on the benefits and how he will achieve this without causing friction with other sectors when it comes down to financing it, both in the short and long term. This I believe is a good way to get results. |

fallout87: The truth is that, these people champion Obj for this stuff. When a president doesn't abuse power they call him clueless. When a president does, they complain at first then they accept and then begin championing him for it.
It is a very backward way of rationalizing.
Want an example? They are cheering Amaechi for blocking PDP from using a stadium APC has used. This is a public stadium, not an APC only stadium. On the other hand they hate the fact Johnathan doesn't show "backbone" and bulldoze the way Obj and others like Amaechi do.
GEJ is too democratic for these types. I pray a word like #GEJistoodemocratic will trend some day in Nigeria. Nigerians have gotten freedom after so many years of being in chains but they do not know what to do with it. |

They don't have money to get western education so the focus on practicing their religion. The problem comes in with influence though. Uneducated Muslims are easily manipulated into following extremism though because they believe what there are told. They don't have the knowledge to read and understand certain things for themselves. You say poor muslims lack the knowledge to read and understand certain things in their religion and one can't practice religion without knowledge, yet you say these poor ones make better muslims than the rich.
