Kelvin30286063:
It's a good development. It happens in advance countries so why should we be different. If a police officer stops you either on the road or the walkway (in US and Co) the first thing they ask is 'can I see your ID please?' They expect that you must carry an ID which will serve as your first way to defend yourself against mistaken identity and the only way to confirm that you're actually who you said you are.

Shut up and do not speak on what you don't know. Police are not allowed to randomly stop you in the US and ask for ID, except you are particularly being investigated for a crime, and citizens are not obligated to show them ID either.

All you people do is throw words like "advanced societies" around at every drop of a coin, yet you are so ignorant of what is actually happening in those societies. Soldiers are on their way to lay siege to your communities and your freedom in the guise of security and you are here talking about advanced societies.

If you really believe in the relevance of this stop and identify yourself strategy, why are you not advocating for the police to do it like you claim it is being done in your so called "advanced societies", why is it the army planning to do this.

Nigerians are failing to see that there is a more sinister purpose to this, we hardly see the danger in front until it gets to us in this country.

Science/Technology / Re: Black Man Invents Machine That Creates Clean Water From The Atmosphere by Dewze(m): 9:24am On Nov 01, 2019
This is beautiful. please lalasticlala put this on front page, it will bring a lot of inspiration and encouragement to many young black people out there.

Nairaland, considering the fact that this forum is majorly viewed by African(black) youths, you have the responsibility to use this platform to help open up the minds of black youths on their potentials and ability to bring so much good to this world from their creativity and inventions.

I read people make posts and comments about how black people lack the ability to invent and create and their ignorance and low self esteem just make me sad. I believe stories like these will go a long way to help change that narrative.

They have channels that show latest and interesting movies.

The only reason i want to add Nigcomsat is because they have local channels.

That is good to know. I have nigcomsat already, thinking on adding another sat. So which of the channels on multitv shows latest movies?

actually i did it cuz i did it noni..... If you can't DIY it.... Maybe you should get an installer to do it for you........ Check it out list of current channels at lyngsat.com........ Nigcomsat channels are much better than multi TV.......... Nigcomsat is based on naija..... Multi tv is ghana stuff
..... So that's just it....except you don't like yr country... Lol

Nigcomsat is quite good but my issue with it is that it has too many Hausa stations. I wonder why stations like AIT, Channels and Galaxy are not there.

If men and women had same physical strength, most marriages would have been a battle field. The reason some women tolerate shiitt from men is the difference in physical strength.

If men and women had the same physical strength, most marriages would be peaceful. The violence you see in marriages is usually due to the fact that the men have that advantage over the woman.

Apart from Nigcomsat, which other satellite would you say is worth tracking on a 90cm dish here in Nigeria?

The love I have for airtel ehn....

Their 20k plan gives 110gb. That's equivalent to 5.5gb for every #1,000.

A smart person will find cash and buy that 20k plan once, then keep rolling over every month with #1,000.

So, for each month, (if you always watch your data usage) you will get 7gb to browse. grin

That's for 20 months.

As opposed to getting 4.5gb for #2,000 per month. cool

So, it's like when you add that extra #1,000 every month you'll get 2.5gb as opposed to their original 1.5gb for #1,000.
Mmmh

Apus:

Pension Transitional Directorate(PTAD) oversees police pension payments.

I thought PTAD are for pensioners that retired on or before 2007 and that are under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS). My mum retired in 2018 and so should fall under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS). The CPS was created to eliminate delays in payment due to non availability of Government funds, so why the delay of over a year now to make payment?
Politics / Re: PenCom: Pension Assets Hit N9.4trn In August by Dewze(m): 6:11am On Oct 16, 2019
If they have this much money, why are they still refusing to pay retired police officers their pension?

My mum retired since July last year and she has still not been paid, no insurance payment, no pension payment, nothing.

What ever is happening to you now will either kill you or make you stronger, but which ever direction you head will be the one you choose. Our greatest obstacle when we go through tough times is the ever present fear that things will never get better, especially when they seem to have dragged on for too long. All I can tell you from my experience is that it will eventually get better, no matter how bad it may seem now.

The biggest mistake Jagz made was returning to Choc city. Ever since then my rating for him reduced and his worth evaporated.

Charity begins at home. If M.I couldn't help his biological brother then all his bragging of helping other rappers become bankable is nothing but cheap talk!

You theory does not hold water. Don jazzy could not help his brother Prince to blow, yet he did so well with Tiwa Savage, Dbanj and others. So it is not about biological, it did not just work out. I can name many other (mostly American industry) instances to prove it is not about brother or charity.
