Once a 'financially most educative thread' in Nairaland but now, jobless lazy youth is messing it! Ahib doesn't relent in sharing with us his vast knowledge relevant to the economic real sector while Emma feeds us with his research relevant to the fundamental of NSE and we acknowledged their contributions.
Lazy youth is having inferiority complex making him to always feel bad as someone shared his experience with business.

I often post about my investment journey here
I never knew that it made someone feel some type of way
So much so that the person had to spend his time to dig up spurious things In order to belittle me

That is a specially messed up situation
And can only be done by someone who has low self esteem

Look at this one. People are talking, you self wan follow talk. Better go and look for a job to better your life and condition.I bet those days you were making noise here like an experienced investor, a lot of people thought you were a big man not knowing you were a common corper wey dey try fade from Naija. Until I expose you
Please don’t upset me this Xmas o. Audio youth like you wey dey talk say e better pass CBN Governor. Give yourself better konk for your head you this boy.

As usual
Rambling and rambling with no substance
Call me a "boy" all you want
That's your own prerogative
And your fundamental human right as a nigerian

However, you are living a sad and pathetic life
You just dont know it

All I did as a professional was to correct you on your mistake, on that your talk on "unearned income "
You could not accept that you were wrong

And you went digging through my many old posts, as the jobless simpleton that you are, in order to look for the smallest thing to "discredit me"

Only for you to post old posts of mine, and then make ridiculous assumptions about someone you dont know personally
That's really messed up you know?

Calling me an "audio" person ceaselessly and baselessly
I wonder whether you are even a B.Sc graduate sef, because if you were you would have understood that sometimes (and in certain circumstances) there is a time lag between when someone finishes his studies and when he is cleared for youth service
But that chapter is closed, no need to reopen it

Now you are on Ahib case
Spewing crap about someone who is ahead of you in life

Imagine the bolded comment up there
Someone comes here to make posts based on his own experiences and what he knows
And someone else is assuming that others thought I was an experienced person

Does that even make sense to you ?
What is wrong with what I have been posting ?
Posting information based on your own sphere is now a crime right ?

Now you assume that because I made moves to emigrate from the country
I must be an unemployed person
And a frustrated person
As if it is an unemployed person that can even opt in for Express entry

How ridiculous
When Ahib was making those claims about your youtube ventures and all those other things he said
I couldn't make judgements based on that
And call you an efulefu
Because as all sensible people do
You dont make wild assumptions and judgements
Based on just posts

I'll tell you this thing
Better fix your self esteem issues
It will do you a lot of good
Attention seeking on a faceless forum will not add value to you
I suggest you go for therapy
It will do you a lot of good

grin They are playing the cards gradually. By the time it gets to the check-up stage in 2023, then Igbos will be forced to learn politics. Strategy and tactics saturated with sophistication grin

You mustn't be honest with your enemy in battle. When you are weak you pretend strong to scare them off. When you are strong, you pretend weak to lure them to you. This is not deceit. It is called Strategy. Indeed, the Yorubas are sophisticated. You Igbos are always in awe of their maneuvering. grin

Armchair theory
Call it what you like
It is what it is.
There is NO LAW that excludes anyone from playing in that industry

The main barrier is the capital intensive nature of the business
BUA is going big on cement
WAPCO is rearranging its affairs to even get more competitive
If that useless narrative that the government handed the industry to Dangote

BUA would have been put out by now.

Its the same thing with the refineries
Dangote was not the only one given license
But he is going big on oil refining and fertilizers

6 years from today
Armchair critics will start running their mouth
That Dangote is this and that

Anyone who sticks their neck and take a big risk
Especially in a terrain like Nigeria
Should reap all the benefits

The reason why Nigeria will never develop is our heterogenous nature society. People are not patriotic to Nigeria but to their tribe and religion. Nigeria can never work.

WRONG
People only care about themselves

Buhari is president and the north is in turmoil
If he had his people interest at heart
He would have stemmed the tide

Tinubu has rendered the futures of many young men in the south west hopeless and useless with his penchant for thuggery and kleptomania

Look at the Niger Delta
The militants and traditional leaders have settled themselves
The larger society can burn to ashes if they like

Then the South East ?
Or I Uzor Kalu and co dont care about the igbo people
If sending us to the slaughter is what will make them become "igbo president "
These dinwits will do it gladly
Look at Unahi

Multiculturalism or tribalism is just an excuse

Even if Nigeria had gotten her independence in 1856, the same problem you are complaining about will still happen in 2020

For all those who know history.

Multiculturalism does not work because people will keep fighting each other instead of building their nation
This is not true
Even homogeneous countries are upside down in many parts of the world
Even here in Africa

The main problem with Nigeria is OUR REFUSAL to forge a common interest
Black folks in general are intellectually handicapped in that respect

A nation of excuses.
One guy's comment on a thread really struck me. He said that successful people in Nigeria are verbally attacked because they expose people's incompetence and laziness in a nation where we constantly tell themselves success is impossible. Attacking them is a form of way to justify why we are not as successful and so have to come up with excuses for our failures as a people.
The attack on Dangotte may seem personal and tribal sometimes but it is more of a self protective mechanism. A face saving measure for our failure.

You have a strong point
It's like when a young man is relatively successful
People begin to say he must have done something shady

While in the real sense, it's the "self protective mechanism " at play

More huge domestic investments. Foreign investors can keep looking at paper figures.

https://www.nairaland.com/6327201/bua-construct-3-cement-plants

Besides, where are all those who said government banned anyone from entering the cement industry in order to give Dangote monopoly? Later, we'll hear the mission wasn't Dangote monopoly but Fulani/Hausa/Kano-indigine monopoly.... 1di0ts

I have always said, that the Ibeto/Dangote/ Cement narrative is hogwash
The industry is open for who is ready to play
But it's very capital intensive

Its one thing to import and distribute cement
It is another to run a cement factory IN NIGERIA

As for the foreign investors
They have very good reason to stay out, at least for now, and be watching at the sidelines

Nigeria would have been a better country If all those "big men" of nigeria get more invested in Nigeria
And not just being an unscrupulous rent seeker

The only ridiculous thing is Loosing yourself while trying to be someone else.

This is one of the reason Africa would never be great until we know from the inside that we are greater.

All the first civilized countries were from Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia and the likes, none of them wore suit to any official gathering until the westernization of the continent began.

Whatever made suit an official dress makes Agbada official too.

How long are we going to remain in the prison of our mind.
They told us our Agbada is not official but their suit.
Our Masquerade are demonic but their Santa.
Our Akamu is not good in office but their Tea
Our Deities are evil yet they bought it all and uses it in a subtle way while doing some great construction works.
When are we going to be delivered of this mind set.

Think and Awake, Dear African

The person you quoted has a point
Wearing a suit is more formal

But him going with agbada is not bad either
Africans dont love their heritage more than asians of the far east
But you will NEVER see them wear Kimono and co to a formal occasion
You wont

So it's a matter of perspectives
Agbada is not formal

Obviously not very versed in business techniques are you? Please educate yourself on why businesses file bankruptcy. It can be a very smart tool in the hands of those who know what they're doing...the very opposite of failed businessmen.

At the very highest, his father left him a fraction of what he is worth today. Whatever you think of him, the baseline is that he is a SELF MADE BILLIONAIRE in USD. There's no getting around that. We can acrobatically jump rope and hang upside down from tree branches by our tails all day and all night. His billionaire status doesn't go away anywhere; and lest I forget; that's after filing more than four bankruptcies (according to you).

You can put any number of question marks on his net worth. So by how much do you want to reduce his networth? A billion? Two? Carry go, he is still a billionaire. And by the way, if Forbes staff can be so easily bribed to smuggle in names to their list that do not belong there, then this can only mean that the Forbes list is unreliable.
