I know you are cos this isn't the first time am seeing your comment on NL but I will patiently wait for you to deny your tribe before telling what I observed about you and your tribesmen.

His name is tunde
And he is NOT Igbo

What does this even have to do with ethnicity now?
Many of you just lack common sense and critical reasoning

Is this how we are going to be giant of africa, and fulfill our full potentials?
By being irredeemably tribalistic to the point that it blocks common sense and proper reasoning ?

What's wrong with many of you ?
Different people will have different opinions
And it is not determined by their ethnic affiliations

Its their personal point of view
You black negros better start having sense

No one is arguing that. OP's point is that many Nigerians can afford units in Eko Atlantic.

Well
That COULD be the case
Some Nigerians will be able to afford this
That's not in doubt
International buyers could come in as well

This one thinks it is private politicians building residential houses in Eko Atlantic, and not companies, many of therm international firms.

Why does one even bother responding to this uninformed, ignorant garbage?

When people raise their differing opinions
Then you get defensive and insultive

Stop thinking that people are too poor to afford stuff in Nigeria or Africa.

I remember when Shoprite were considering entering Nigeria a few years ago.

On this very Nairaland and other forums, you had many people saying that Shoprite were wasting their time coming to Nigeria, as only the ''very few rich politicians'' could afford to shop in malls, and that the average Nigerian was living on ''less than a dollar a day'', and was therefore far too poor to patronise shopping malls or help them make a profit.

Shoprite rightfully IGNORED all the naysayers and pessimists, and entered the Nigerian market.

The result? They can't even cope with the level of demand, and are building more and more outlets all over Nigeria, some in places as unlikely as Awka and Aba and Oshogbo!

That is why nobody should EVER listen to Nigerians when thinking of doing business in Nigeria.

I've never seen a people with so much to offer, yet who think so low of themselves.

Actually
Most Africans are WRETCHED
Not even poor...

Let's tell ourselves the truth for once

We cannot continue to produce kids at this alarming rate

Gentlebuka:
I want humans to understand something, first of all you have the freedom to have any desire. But I also want humans to understand something, no one owes you anything. This is 21st century. Things are changing. These days men are choosing not to marry or even love romantically, and your fellow women are choosing to have the same power as men. Unfortunately, that choice involves being able to fully cater for yourself financially without needing any external party.

For this reason, I will not hesitate to advice my only sister when she comes of age thus: "make your own money, be financially independent, do not hope on a man's financial support, then you will be free to do what you like, including treating men like trash if you feel like, and people will actually respect you even if only for the fact that you have money. Then if you desire to get married, marriage will be an additional means to be more respected and have a lifetime companion. If you come online and say you want a rich boyfriend, no one will talk you down because you actually deserve it".

I'll also tell a man: "look, make money. If you want, you can marry, if not, you can be single. But people will respect you for having money. If you desire to date a broke or rich girl even when you are rich, either one will be available to you. But only if you have money can you be able to tell a woman boldly, "miss, I choose to spend on you or not as I deem fit, and you are not in anyway entitled to what i have". She might hate you for that mentality, but she will respect you. If you come online and meet a girl who says she only wants a rich boyfriend or husband, you may now decide whether you can manage her or not, no matter how beautiful she thinks she is, because you'll have lots of good alternatives, especially if you are also attractive in other ways".

Bottom line, respect people's choices and be free to make your own especially if you know that you deserve it

Your last paragraph is spot on

Lolz that notion dosen't exist anymore, it might exist during the days of our mothers and grandmothers but not with this generation of women girls. a typical Nigerian lady will never grow with her man but when he finally make it she will be running after him and regretting, let's take rudeboy's reason with me as a case study, back then in the 70's, 80's. a lady will stick with her broke partner with ambition unlike now. most of these girls presently are getting lazy day by day, they want good things without working hard for it, they want the best life, I won't actually blame them because most men are part of the problems, they act like SIMPs because of vagina which is very pathetic, they spend millions on them just because of few minutes of sex, something they would have given to motherless babies home no wonder every girls now see their vaginas as cash dispensers, yeah there vaginas brings them money

I wont blame any Nigerian woman who refuses to "grow" with her husband/boyfriend/man

I really wont

Everything in the midst of alarming unemployment.
Everything in the midst of science/technology stagnation.
Everything in the midst of epileptic power supply.
Everything in the midst of poor health care.
Everything in the midst of falling education standard.
Everything in the midst of inadequate security of lives/properties.

Is it not the same Park view in Ikoyi with mannequin fire station?

Depends on your geographical location, yes Yoruba's are also involved in crimes in Yorubaland; just as white Europeans are involved in crimes in Europe but you hardly or never see a Yoruba man caught for skull mining in Malaysia or south Africa, you hardly even see them in the north or south east caught for any crime, Yoruba's may be involved in crime but we keep our shit within the region, the ethic and belief system behind the yoruba traditional ideology "Omoluabi" is one that makes the south west region still one of the most peaceful regions in Nigeria. Ritual killings are widespread among all regions in the south and no one dominates the other, and internet fraud is a far less violent crime.

The Igbos on the other hand are known to be; cheats, importers of fake items, movie and music piracy, drug pushing, human trafficking, baby factories, male/female prostitutes in Italy, shady businessmen, 419ers/con artists and to name a few, these are the ones they're pioneers and not counting one's like cultism and armed robbery which they also play active roles in....what takes this to a whole new level is they have now decided to export their crimes to other regions and countries, most igbos are criminals caused by an egotistical culture that forces it's male to gain wealth and impress by hook or crook. You ask for the statistics; three different articles about nigerian drug pushers nabbed in Asia and they're all igbo. Flatin0s are criminals.

Does Hushpuppi ring a bell?

Opa6ix?
H Money?
"Otumba Lamba"?
These are just @ some of the many many many criminals of south western extraction caught abroad or are currently abroad

Your argument is very flawed and weak
People who will commit crimes will commit crimes
Trying to link crime to an entire ethnic group, and labelling them as such is very silly

Criminals are criminals
Period

I dont do this dirty ethnic dragging! Go and sit down bro..

I have core south african business partners. I mean real citizens. Even in SA, yorubas lead in yahoo yahoo, igbos dominate in drug

Nigeria is useless country, crime is evenly shared.

Im sure u are poor, that is why u carry ethnic stuff on nairaland for head.. I hate tagging crimes based on ethnicity. It is dirty and low life. Nigeria as a country is messed up and all tribes have hands in it!

There's no need of screaming like an ambulance.....ethic beliefs and upbringing have roles they play in the rate of criminality, sociologists and demographers have proved that. There's a reason why some countries and regions are known for a specific crime; it's because ethic and cultural values have roles in promoting such crimes, and when it comes to crimes committed home and abroad igbos dominate that list.

What you are saying makes no sense

Nah, they don’t at all. That is why we never see much of those couples in old age.

Do you have any uncle or any man in your village with an equally old foreign wife? Makes me wonder at what point these foreign women realize they can’t cater to the whims and caprices of most Naija men.

Last last Naija man will be back home for the only woman that can tolerate his ever needy ego.

Agaracha must come back... grin

I actually have uncles married to foreign wives
And they are in old age

Though for those ones, they knew that they were not coming back to Nigeria anymore

The main problem is when the man has a long term plan of coming back to Nigeria
And the foreign wife is taking none of that

Even sometimes
Nigerian women dont even want to move back in old age
Its difficult settling back in a cesspool of misogyny after living decades in the west

Sadly, that has been a recurring thing. Established Nigerian men in the U.S divorcing their white wives to come back and marry.

These are folks that have been there for years with experience. There's definitely something driving it.
It depends on the person
Each individual with his own circumstance

Some men are married to their foreign wives and have cut ties with Nigeria kpata kpata

Some married foreign wives and it did not work out due to no fault of theirs, but divergence of goals
Hence their remarriage
Evry one should assess his situation honestly
And then make their choices

But what I have come to know
Women are women
There is nothing special in a white woman
Nothing special in a black woman either
Make your choice as a man
And live with it
