take it easy man. u encourage ur fellow country men by doing constructive criticism where necessary and lauding them as well if need arises. u don't need to pull them down in order to let them understand they are not doing well.
it will only kill the morale and that in turn will do us no good : America and the likes did not get to where they are in just one day. it took them years to build what u are now celebrating. so just calm down and encourage those guys, I believe they can do better.

You see afro-pop or rather "9ja afro-pop" is not the only music genre in nigeria there're others like bongo, highlife and our own style of worship and praise, they are all there and u know what? when a singer of any of the above mentioned genres makes his/hers interesting to me i kind of dig it(like it). yeah....of course u are right. it's just that I feel what they need now to improve the industry is some form of encouragement and constructive criticisms and not bashing. That way we won't make them feel inferior to their foreign counterparts but help them consolidate what they already have .
