Yes o, childcare hassle . Have been looking for live in nanny thats affordable but cant get. Safer to return home till dad is ready to come over
babythug:

Awww is he going home due to childcare hassles?

I feel they’re easier to manage here at that age than send them to naija etc etc

Anyway hope it all works out fine.

Sorry I don’t know about withdrawing from schools here

Goodmorning lovely people, please I want to ask if there is a procedure to withdraw a child from school here since the plan is to take him back to Nigeria for 2 to 3years because father will be joining in uk by then . He is just 5years and will be coming only to visit twice yearly . Mum will be travelling home to visit as well till Daddy relocate finally.

He came in few months ago on dependant visa and has his BRP . Any advice will be well appreciated, thank you

They havent requested for passport yet, they replied and apologised for delay and reassured that they are working on the application for reconsideration but no timeframe. Today made it 5months of successful administrative review, it took them ages to transfer file back for decision.

Awolat:
Any update? Have they reached out to you to submit your passport. A lot of us are in this same situation

Thanks for the response. Can one choose priority and pay on the day of biometrics?

No. It's not needed.

Please is it wrong that I created the account with my mail address, must it be my mum mail address?
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by DFmum: 9:52am On Jun 29, 2022
Thank you so much

DrStrangelove:
Option 1 is proof of Ur own funds i.e. the applicants funds directly assesible to her and her only like her bank statements and investment certificates etc

Option 2 is proof of funds from the person who wants to sponsor her (if any). This will include sponsor's bank statement and investment certificates

Option 4 is for the proof that the host (or who she's going to meet over in the UK) is legitimate and proof of stay like Biometric Residence Permit, UK passport, driver's license but usually the first two are okay

Goodluck

The old wiman travelled to US in 2015 and came back 2019 with her green card which is still valid till 2024. Not citizen yet

DrStrangelove ppost=114246867:
Good evening,

Let me try to understand u well on this one. U said Ur mum overstayed in the US and that she got her green card? Or u mean applied for green card? Is she now a citizen of the US or still holding their green card or she has now finally relocated back to Naija and the green card is no longer renewed and now she wants to travel to the UK on a visit visa?

Am sure u will have to fill in the right dates for her in those columns as there is a way the two countries share visa application info so they will know Ur mum is lying. It's best to put the right duration there and let them figure it out.

Sometimes it's not their prerogative as it's not their country u overstayed. They might overlook that seeing she got her green card as well.

Goodluck

Thanks so much. Please is it my phone number am to fill in the application or hers, she is an old woman o

[quote author=Cashmadam post=114241841]

If it's her first time, I advise 6 months visa.

Utility bills not required. Just give her a letter of invitation and a copy of the data page of your international passport and whatever document gives you the legal right to stay in the UK[/quote
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by DFmum: 6:53pm On Jun 28, 2022
Please am trying to invite my Mum, trying get all my utility bill like council tax, water, electricity etc but couldn't find downloadable bills when I log in each of them. Can only view d bills. Can I screenshot and convert to pdf? Is it acceptable?

11 weeks of successful administrative review, nil mail for passport submission yet. When will this be over?
leef2022:

cause they want to be sure that subsequent response closes the query. just few days-weeks of more patience, and you would get a response.

Please am trying to use the paid call to know update on my family application but its not going through, that it has not exceeded timeline to give me an update. I don't know what they meant by that.

This is 9weeks of successful administrative review and I was told it has been escalated last week I called them. Does escalation takes so much time?
And I can't even use the paid call anymore, don't know why.

email CIH@homeoffice.gov.uk and provide the following details:

Your name;
Nationality;
Date of birth; and
