Did you say "substandard"? We get substandard Chinese made products in Nigeria for the most part because of the greediness of some importers from Nigeria. These greedy importers tell Chinese manufacturers Nigerians can not afford top quality products. I know this for a fact because I live in China. Stop blaming the Chinese for the fake and substandard products you find in Nigeria. Blame the greedy and heartless importers who go out to China to make them.

simply compare the voltage difference. if what you have in the airplane is more than what you get from PHCN, definitely smartphones will charge faster in the airplane.

Will try it today. I've not tried it before. I'll come back with results of the test and post it here.

Modified: Tested and results came out in the positive. Phone was at 15% when I started charging. The duration of charging was reduced by 2x the normal time.

Thanks op for the tip. On the flip side, whenever my battery is down, I turn on the airplane mode in order to save energy for important calls. Never knew the charging side of it.

Today I start a series called #dogchronicles.

First off has to be Action. Action was an 8-month old Rottweiler. I remember I first met him when he came in for his routine ARV (AntiRabies Vaccination) at 3 months. He was an active little pup who hadn't begun to show the aggressiveness that Rotts are usually known for. So imagine my surprise when he came in a few months later with a tumour on his right hind limb.

You just made me remember my late Posh Got a job and traveled only to come visiting 3 months later and I was told my first love died while I was away .

I support the protest, things are terribly difficult. But I agree with you a hundred percent; we should proceed with caution, our security operatives can be careless and cause unnecessary loss of lives even during peaceful protests.

Thank you my brother. The emboldened was the point I was referring to. I am not much of a talker but at least someone with insight will understand. Loss of lives is not what we need right now.

Who will provide for families that lose their bread winners in the protest? Protest is good but tact needs to be applied. Everybody needs to be carried along. The suffering hits on everyone: civil servants, labourers, the police, military et al. Play the right cards well, and everyone will key into the protest. Same people coming up now hijacked the protest at Ojoto (2012) and turned it into a jamboree of all sorts: music, jokes and others. Even dying artists used the platform to revive their career, while others used the opportunity to advertise themselves.

NLC went back to deal with the FG and alas, the center could not hold after things fell apart.


On a last note: If one prays for rain, you have to deal with the mud. I don't think we are ready for protest yet. I want to be proven wrong.

To tread carefully doesn't mean "to protest or not to protest". Please don't get me wrong. This is a faceless forum no doubt, but sometimes decorum should be accorded to so-called faceless individuals until we meet them face-to-face.
