Am I surprised that you are too stupid to understand english? Where did I defend homosexual acts?
I put the acts in bold so that you can easily know what I want from you? Show me in my post where I defended the acts? Thanks.
My Lady, i would have replied if not for the fit of laughter that seized for many minutes.

why the out burst; did bobby touch a sensitive spot?
cool down for Jesus!
wether you support the acts or the one who is involved in the act, it is one and the same thing.
if homosexuals come into the church for help, good, if not they are only hardening their hearts against the Lord.

Men, Just Pluck a flower from a plant in a bigman's compound within your neighbourhood and give it to the babe as val. Afterall we guys do not need a feb 14 to prove our love for them. We do more than valentine on daily basis. These include clothes, (aso ebi especially), writwatches, perfumes, phones/recharge cards, taxi fares etc.
that is, if she appreciates flowers!

the best thing is to ask her what she would have loved as a gift.

Well said! let's not be myopic and selfish about the valentine thing, let's show real love to the less privilege by visiting the orphans, disabled, sick and dying persons, etc on that day.

okay, let's not fail to appreciate those our loved ones for all their love, care and support. but let's do this within the confine of morality and sanctity.

lol abeg it's not my intention to kill u o, no go die o.

Well hmosexuals are a part of God's church. It is one thing to have homosexual feelings but to engage in the act is another. People like that are called to a life of celibacy if they can't overcome their feelings. But in no way does it mean they can't be a part of God's church. But they cannot be Priests, in the anglican Church because your priests can marry, and it is wrong for homosexuals to marry.

see you in heaven
NO NO No no, my Lady, i strongly beg to disagree.
Homosexuals are rebels. they are people who have hardened their hearts to the truth of God's word.
Agreed, the feelings might be there, it does not mean they should give in to the desire for such unnatural love pattern. it is not a natural pattern for any sane person.
Imagine all road users obeying the urge to over speed! Over the desire to have sex with the handsome/pretty fellow we meet on the walk way or at the subway!
if such desires arise, we must overcome it and not indulge and start spreading it around in the name of civilisation!

yes, they are free to come to the church, but to come for counselling and deliverance! Not to form a cliche and carve a niche for themselves as part the church! It means the church has ceased to be a church!

that is why we are saying in the anglican church that such must not be celebrated or tolerated. we are the church of the God who is too holy to behold iniquity.

he loves sinners (homosexuals et al inclusive), yet He hates sin!

let's face it, Homosexuality is a sin. that is scriptures for you, lady!

i wonder why some moderators lock some topics. i know their work is tedious one, but they must consult widely before locking down such! i have come across interesting topics that were locked down, while some duplicated topics and uninteresting topics are allowed to constitute nuisance on the Nland. i believe this is wrong.
where topics are duplicated it should be moved to the recycle bin or deleted (whatever the difference there is).

please seun call the moderators to seminar on this

B.Billion:
Hi I am new here and require some insight into Nigerian/Urohobo tribe culture.

My wife is Nigerian born in England, i am West indian also born in London. I have met with my wife's family who are very nice people, but there is something i do not understand. When i greet my wifes grandfather, he is polite, but refuses to shake my hand, indeed he pulled his hand out of mine, when i tried to extend mine. Other than that he is cordial.
My wife says it's nothing personal, and that he shakes no-ones hand as he is a chief, but i am ALMOST positive that i have seen him shake other peoples hand.

Maybe i am just being silly, but genuinely need some advice, on this matter.

Thanks in advance
An urhobo chief may not shake hands with a young man, unless it was in a business setting where he cannot run away from it.

he may really like you or he likes you so much that he is afraid you might take advantage of it, hence his attitude.
well, keep trying

Well truly there is only one non-denominational church, and you know exactly what it is.
But I do feel for you guys with the homosexuality thing, I guess that's why the Anglican Church is trying to unite with the Roman Rite. Welcome Home, ppl.

We do truly love you and pray that one day we will all commune together as it was always meant to be.

Christianity EtcRe: Anglicans, Let's Talk by dgreatrock(op): 1:02pm On Feb 06, 2009
~Lady~:
actually it does mean the Catholic Church, when the creeds were written there were no protestants, there was only one Church, and that's what you call the Roman Catholic Church today. So honestly it is about the Roman Catholic Church. Now what does that tell you? It tells you that the Roman Catholic Church is not a denomination, and is only called the Roman Catholic Church because protesants (lutherans, anglicans, calvinists, and others) exist. If there was no break we will all be The Church. You call us Roman Catholic today so that those who wish to be a part of the Orthodox Church founded by Christ would know where to go. It is not because we are denomination, it is only because you guys exist. To us, the rest of you are the sheep in wolves clothing that were to come and challenge the teaching of Christ.

So actually the Church is ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC, and APOSTOLIC just as Christ intended for her to be. These are the descriptions of the Church that Christ founded, and that Church is what you call the Roman Catholic Church today, better known to us Catholics as THE CHURCH.

Also when you speak of the Church, you can't honestly think that we are all one church iwth different denominations, that goes against what the Church is meant to be. We are not meant to have different teachings and different beliefs, we are to be of one mind and spirit. Today there are different minds and spirit, so in all honesty all christians are not the Church.

Exactly. I am not trying to say that they are trademarks of the Roman Catholic Church, I am saying you guys believe what we believe. It is the same thing. You guys are persecuting us for believing in what you believe. You're downgrading your own belief.

Ok sweetheart you might want to check, you guys definitely believe in the real presence. Even Luther couldn't deny that.

http://anglicansonline.org/basics/catechism.html#The%20Holy%20Eucharist scroll down to the one about the eucharist.

Did you know that you guys have a catechism?

um actually you do, and if you didn't you're going against the Bible, as we are one church (in heaven and on earth), and all have special gifts and the prayers of the saints and powerful (St. Paul in one of the books of the Bible, Corinthians maybe, too lazy to look it up now, but ofcourse as you say, only Christ saves, just as we believe. duh.

Actually you guys do pray to her and you do see her as the Mother of God, some anglicans pray the rosary, they finally learnt what it actually is not what protestants claim it is. And who the hell gave Mary a place in the Godhead?

If this is true then God is not able to guide his Church into all truths. And isn't faithful on his promise. And by the way you mean the same errors that you believe in ehn.
Lady, my Lady, must we tear ourselves over this?

i respect whatever any denomination does within the confines of the scriptures and leave the others for God to help them.

what i feel about is, when one tries to better itself at the cost of the others.

the roman catholic or romish church, like every other church had its short comings and will continue in such till the day of Jesus christ. what it has failed to do is stand against the errors of her days.

we anglicans are faced with a serious problem - homosexulism, we are not going to fold our hands and let this error overtake us! we will not legalise or allow it to be ritualised by any one.
