tallestguy4u: Unilorin graduate wrote JAMB again after 9 years due to depression that emanated from Unemployment!
Which way forward in this country called Nigeria?
Just this week I stumbled on this young and ambitious guy;
Oyebode Oluwaseun Joshua an indigene of Kwara State, a graduate of Human Anatomy from University of Ilorin who wrote JAMB again after 9 years of graduation to study Education Mathematics due to unemployment.
I was marvelled on hearing this from him as he narrated his ordeals. Initially, I thought it was a joke, not until he opened up further and even sent proof of his 2020 UTME/JAMB result, with an amazing score of 275. This is someone I know too well for his doggedness, sincerity and loyalty.
He’s been engaged in home and evening lessons in Mathematics; and his students have performed excellently well times without number in SSCE and JAMB. This is a subject that he’s very proficient with, right from his school days and no doubt he is doing great in that area. According to him, he chose to take another JAMB with the little savings he had, after several unsuccessful attempts to secure job with his first degree.
He worked previously as a part-time Mathematics teacher for good 6 years at a state government owned school, with remarkable results obtained by his students. However, he has since been relieved of this part-time job, all because he has no degree in Education Mathematics.
Other opportunities that came his ways as well to teach Mathematics both in Private, State and Federal owned schools had always been turned down, just because he did not study Mathematics or possess a degree in that field of study.
Now, after considering several options, Seun has made up his mind to go back to the same school he graduated from 9 years ago to study Education Mathematics, with the hope that those missed opportunities will come back his way. This implies that, he has to process his admission again and wait for another four years to graduate, secure a job with his new course of study, before thinking about earning a living.
As at now, no form of support is coming forth for him, not even from friends or any quarter.
How I wish well-meaning individuals or organisation can come to Oluwaseun’s aid. He can be reached directly via: 08033392816 or ojoshua20@gmail.com Can he do post graduate diploma in mathematics I mean NTI PGDE instead of going round another cycle? Just my thoughts though |

Would you blame nigerian employers? When there's scarcity of things, unimaginable things and crazy conditions shall become popular. Imagine a country where there are lot of job opportunities, who will be telling you ur email or CV should take one format after the relevant information about you is presented there? Even all these job consultancy firms will fold up as they themselves are even not helping the situation of job seekers in Nigeria but constituting roadblock. May God restore Nigeria lost glory. The advice of OP is still relevant o considering there are many applications always before employers to review for every single job position. |

Since when the white men came, my people began to line up their children to take pictures with a masked Father Christmas, but sparogatively warned these same kids not to even go 30meters close to their own ancestral Ekpe because it was a masquerade. Whereas, those same white men who gave them their new found religion come with smiles and cameras every festival year to get an intimate feel of the Ekpe.
The costume wearing Father Christmas, Ekpe masquerade, likewise other African masquerades are all masquerades.
If you think otherwise, then you are also a brainwashed victim!
I am irreligious, but Proudly a Christian. I do not see my style of Christianity as a religion... I see it as a culture! (living like Christ)
...and I'm not brainwashed! You can be a christian indeed if you behave like christ but you may not understand the reason why it's wrong to play with ekpe. Father Xmas that I know is just a man that acts like an actor but a masquerade must have performed a ritual before coming out and they're operating with satanic covenant. I know this because I used to join them to perform those idol worshipping in our village back then and I know the result that came from it. Both personalities you've mentioned are incomparable |

Former Pastor Mary embraces Islam, converts Church to Mosque in Ibadan
‘The entire building is now dedicated to the worship of Allah – Barrister Akinola The city of Ibadan, Oyo State capital was on Thursday agog when some of Nigeria’s leading Islamic scholars stormed Olomi Ayegun, Fatusi area for the commissioning of Oke Iyanu Central Mosque, Olohunwa.
The mosque was formerly known as Oke Iyanu Cherubim and Seraphim Church before the founder, former Pastor Mrs. Mary Magdalene embraced Islam and converted the building to the Muslim place of worship.
Some of the personalities that attended the unveiling and prayed for the first time in the mosque include the Asiwaju Adinni of Oyo State, Alhaji Mutiullah Oladejo; the Director, Daru Nai’m, Sheikh Imran Eleha; Chairman Oyo Muslim Community, Alhaji Kunle Sanni, veteran Islamic comparative scholar, Alhaji Amoo Alagba, among others.
The conversion story
Investigations carried out by Muslim News showed that Oke Iyanu Church used to be a popular place of worship for members of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, headed by the Pastor Mrs. Mary Magdalene.
“One night, during one of their vigils, Pastor Mrs. slept and had a strange dream. In her dream, she saw people, dressed in turban, Muslims headgear, worshipping and chanting Allahu Akbar, and other form of supplication,” Barrister Bilal Akinola, who is the Secretary of the Fatusi and environs Muslim Community said while speaking with our Correspondent on Friday.
According to him, “When the Pastor Mary woke up; she was terrified and immediately sent for her peers in Christiandom to pray for her, after relating the dream to them. But she dreamt again and this time, the revelation was more intense. She saw more Muslims worshipping in the Church bowing and going on prostration. She became disturbed again upon waking up . She then decided to seek advice from a Muslim scholar in the community.”
Pastor Mrs. Mary’s journey to Islam was blessed by Allah, who guided her to meet an Ahlul Sunnah — a term for conscious and devout Muslim brother, Mallam Yaqub Eleto who eventually became the regular and jumaat imam of the newly commissioned mosque.
“Fortunately for her, the first contact was a Sunnah brother, who gathered some Muslims, including myself. We prayed and admonished her about the beauty of Islam. At the end, she was convinced and agreed to accept Islam.
“One of the eleha (veiled Muslim lady) performed the Islamic obligatory bath for her. She was made to pronounce the Kalimah Shahada. Since she was formerly known as Mary, she chose to now be known as Maryam,” Barrister Akinola added.
The story of the Church turned Mosque
The Church was in its dilapidated form as at the time she embraced Islam, Muslim News was reliably informed by the Secretary of the Muslim Community, who added that, “the upper part was the Church while the latter part was a mission house, where she used to sleep. So, we turned it to mosque and started observing daily superogatory prayers.”
Barrister Akinola said the community has been praying in the mosque in that form since 2007 until last year when the Mosque Committee decided to seek financial support from the Muslims across the world.
Barrister Bilal said, “While the awareness was going on, a man called us from France (or United Kingdom), who requested for the total money needed for the building of the mosque. We told him it would cost us N4.5 million and he promised to sponsor the project in full. He started sending money and the building began immediately.
By Allah, the mosque building for Male and Female is completed now with brand new generator and other state of the art facilities. The entire building is now dedicated to the worship of Allah, Alhamdulillah. I just left the mosque (Friday) where I went to observe the first solatul jumah. It is written that let who thinks he stand be careful lest he falls. Anyone can call himself or herself a pastor but that doesn't make his/her name registered in the book of life. It is written that not everyone that call my name will enter the kingdom of God but whoever does the will of my father. Pastor Mary has truly defined her identity and many more like her are still running church affairs in the name of Jesus but are not known by Him. It didn't just start and it will continue like this till christ comes. |

post=97891392: The Very First person he thanked was Our darling Daddy President Muhammadu Buhari, The same man some brainwashed swines keep abusing saying he is jeopardizing our democracy. Pained losers. Isn't this the Irony of Life?
We said this before and we will say it again. Truth is not bitter, just that some evil people are bitter to the truth.
About transparency in elections... This can only happen because we have a President that makes everyone vote count, unlike what our darling country has been used to for 16 years of failure.
Good to see you guys know the kinda good man you've got as a President that you can even vouch for him. Now, that is integrity at it's peak. That is one of the things dad will be remembered for in this nation for many many years to come.
Let's give you more insight........
It is a always good and refreshing to see that we have a President who does not intervene in the rule of law.
From Corruption, down to politics, Our darling Daddy always allow the rule of law to take charge...
Memory lane........ Elections In Nigeria now, There is no need to fear. Why? Because the will of Nigerians will not be subverted. Never! A President once told us in this country that the coming polls would be do or die. Not with President Buhari. Fair is fair. No foul play. Under his watch, his political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost gubernatorial elections in Bayelsa(now twice), Oyo State, Edo State, Zamfara state and Anambra states.
At the last Council of States meeting, Gov Willie Obiano publicly registered his appreciation to President Buhari, for the level playing ground he made available during the election in his state. With do or die apostles, and a certain political party in power, such would never happen. Not with their garrison mentality. All states are territories that must be conquered, willy-nilly.
APC has won gubernatorial positions under Buhari in Kogi, Ondo and Edo states, (Now losing same Edo again) The victories were fair and square. The party lost in Bayelsa (twice), Zamfara, Oyo, Anambra etc. This President would never manipulate victory for anyone, not even his own party. And you ask us not to trust him? We will, and no mistake.
God bless our darling Daddy President Muhammadu Buhari. God bless Nigeria.
Lol Just 3 mins ago sir! All of us @ love you too..... Let's share the love around! Stay blessed Chairman!
That is one of the things dad will be remembered for in this nation for many many years to come. This epistle doesn't erase the notion that buhari ur dad is still grossly incompetent in running affairs of a country like this. The eulogy shower on him by obaseki is political if you indeed understand the tone, it's a soft appeal to save him from supreme court disastrous judgement like it happened in imo. You shouldn't have forgotten in a hurry that the same PDP ure castigating appointed Jega that supported the work of electoral reform and ur dad is the product of that election you people described as "free and fair". Why did ur dad not support the will of the people to prevail in osun if he's impartial? It's always good to remain silent that to keep praising ur dad unjustly here. We know the politics behind it if ur dad eventually fail to use ur judiciary to unseat obaseki, it's not because of love for democracy. |

GOD has used this man to deliver hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people from demonic bondage, oppression and affliction around the world. We Nigerians should be very grateful that GOD sent him to our country out of all the countries in Africa where idolatry, demonic worship and sacrifices held away for thousands of years before the gospel of our LORD and saviour Jesus Christ made its glorious entry into the continent. Curses, evil covenants and ancestral afflictions have been adversely affecting all families because of many years of idolatry but GOD used Apostle Ayo Babalola and is now using Pastor Daniel Olukoya to set people free from demonic bondage. I was a certified Christian before I had contact with MFM last year. I have experienced dramatic victories over the powers of darkness since I started praying their prayers. I can't understand why people choose to be angry with prophetic declaration. Even if ure a member of the church of the preacher, the prophecy may not work for you if you don't BELIEVE. I am sure some of the prophecy is not what you want to hear but even if any prophet see that COVID 21 is likely to originate from Japan this year, Prayer can still upturn it. That's how it works in spirit realm because our God is very merciful if we cry unto HIM. A bad market will surely lose patronage no matter the level of hypnotism attached. You can't love the people who are paying tithes and offerings than themselves and the churches would have become empty if there's no proof of redemption in the lives of congregants. It's year 2021 and it's good for haters to stop this jealous accusations against the body of Christ.
