LAfricana: Bobby Charlton enjoyed a magnificent career with Manchester United and is universally recognised as the best English player of all time.
The prolific goalscorer won three league titles, one European Cup and England's first and only World Cup in 1966 among a plethora of club and personal honours.
Charlton has scored more goals for Manchester United and the Three Lions than any other player and is still revered by many fans to this day.
However, his incursion into management was a complete bust as Preston North End were relegated under his watch and he left the club early the next season. Op why u no add sir? It's sir bobby chalton |

koligs: Baba Oyoyo!!!!!!! For those saying west germany, i did not vote for buhari to speak good english, i did not vote for buhari to become a history teacher. We voted for Buhari to lay the foundations for the future of nigeria, fix power, education and to curb corruption which has become the bane of our country. Even if Buhari likes, let him call German vice chancellor "zainab", i dont care! If he likes, let him call germany "port harcourt ", i don't give a damn. I voted for Buhari to fix Nigeria and that is the task he is doing and i am satisfied and very happy. Ride on my president, keep working and keep them talking. Good morning. Jah bless boss |

Ezenwammadu: This Abiola thing is getting out of hand. Stop the overhype of his achievements and lets face it that it was his own people that betrayed and sold him out.His wife was killed by the gambaris yet they rallied around them
The real hero of our land are;
1. The millions of poor people who endure the wickedness of our elites and still allow Nigeria be.
2. GEJ for letting democracy take root despite the hatred vested on him by some Yorubas and Hausas.
GEJ named Unilag after Abiola and the same people due to their hatred for GEJ stopped it.
Stop the noise. Abiola was a politician and like all other politicians was interested in more power even though he might have had the people at heart but he is not my democratic hero. Are u slck sir? |

ComradeAbu: How can you access Buhari in just 7 days from His Inuguration into office and say he is already failing...? As for me The former general is doing perfect.
Day of inauguration Saturday 29th of May 2015. He announced his plans for this Nation order the relocation of Army command center and made clear he won't be destracted with old scores
Sunday 30th of May 2014 Received dignetries from around the world and congratulatory
Day 1 in office Monday 31st May 2015 Appointed Spokes person had meeting with NSA on State of nations security
Day 2 in office Tuesday 1st June 2015 Had meeting with chief of air, Army & Naval staff with police IG and NSA
Day 3 in office Wednesday 2nd June 2015 Traveled to Niger republic to discuss how to takel boko haram with the president and how to reorganize RMNJTF
Day 4 in office Wednesday 3rd June 2015 Went to Chad to discuss with the president of chad on how to create regional stability and over come the menace of Boko Haram
Day 5 in office Thursday 4th June 2015 Appointed the person to head the RMNJTF a Nigerian commander and discuss the acceleration of Central command to Maiduguri
Day 6 in office Friday 5th June 2015 Meet with oil marketers and discuss how to increase PEtrol supply for the main time and also ha dinner with Nigeria Ambasadors..
Day 7 in office Saturday 6th June 2015 Travelled to Germany to attend G7 summit despites Nigeria not being a member bt among the 7 countries invited.
While the president was carrying out these various activities, the VP attented an inauguration in Sudan
Let's not forget with in this space of time Buhari has dealt with other several issues like having to appoint his ADC, Issuing directive to security personnel at airports not to harrase former officials of the past government, Also issued directive to ministers not to approve Contacts except Chief accountans and heads of ministries. And Buhari is even yet to enter the villa and as at then the new senate is yet to be formed....
QUESTION.. When last did we have a president working and not complaining that the troubles facing Nigerians in this country where not caused by him so no one should expect him to find solutions to them or even try to solve them God bless u for this wonderful job welldone!!! |

Politics › Re: Open Campaign For The Adoption Of Sen Saraki And Hon Dogara As PDP Candidates by dhorlipizzu(m): 9:50am On Jun 07, 2015 |
barcanista: This thread is to officially call on noble PDP fans, Supporters, admirers and all patriotic citizens to endorse the candidacy of Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki(APC Kwara) and Honorable Yakubu Dogara (APC, Bauchi) for the positions of Senate President and House Speaker respectively.
Why Senator Saraki and Honorable Dogara: The emergence of Senator Saraki will mean a major crack in the APC structure and the quest for dominance of this political era. Saraki knowing fully well that he wasn't the APC "nominee" will be more liberal and less partisan because he knows that he needs the PDP Senators to survive. The PDP cannot afford not to reinvent their influence and prepare for 2019.
Honorable Yakubu Dogara, a Christian from Bauchi state has pledged to adopt Hon Leo Ogar (PDP, Delta state) as the Deputy Senate President. He has also pledged that Chairmanship of House Committees will be in 50:50 sharing formular between the PDP and APC. Like Saraki, he isn't the nominee of the APC. His emergence will nullify the APC planned expansion and will whittle their proposed structure. The PDP can't afford to lose this opportunity to assert their influence in the 8th Assembly.
Can We Succeed? Of the 60 APC Senators, a group of 35 under the Umbrella of "Like Minds" consisting of Senators from the three geo-political zones in the North (NC, NW and North East) have endorsed Senator Saraki. PDP has 49 members of the Senate, 18 from South South, 15 SE, Ekiti 3, Ondo 1, Ogun 1, Taraba 3, and one each for Yobe, Nasarawa and Benue states. A bloc vote of at least the Senators from SS and SE plus the 35 already from the APC Saraki group is more than enough to return Saraki elected. Considering the game of politics, all 49 PDP Senators should not fail to vote for Senator Bukola Saraki on Tuesday.
For the House Speakership, of 214 APC Members, 154 endorsed Gbajabiamila. The 125 PDP Reps (SS 52, SE 38, NC 8, SW 20 and 8 from NE) should endeavour not to miss this opportunity to have a say in the House, for the benefit of themselves and the Party. South South and South East PDP contingents must not disappoint Hon Leo Ogar. They all should mobilise and participate in the election. The Hon Dogara group already has 55-61 APC Reps in their ranks. With the block 125 votes from PDP in addition to the 55-61 pro Dogara APC, the "PDP" will coast to victory and be the defacto leader of the NASS.
We cannot afford to lose this golden opportunity to control the two chambers of the National Assembly. We lost the Presidency, we can't afford to lose the Senate and the House.
I hereby use this medium to call on well meaning Nigerians and the PDP supporters to endorse this proposal.
#PDP Shall Rise Again #PDP Shall Lead Again #God Bless PDP Broda wake up Papa say make u cum go buy akamu wey we go drink this mrn.... |

ImperialYoruba: I have left you alone to your wanderings and ignored your threads since GEJ lost election. I am responding to this one because I find it insulting that someone at your high level of academic achievement has found it abundantly rewarding to scavenge news crumbs for the end goal of retention.
I suspect you are suffering from a similar malady that your god, GEJ was afflicted with. Do me a favor, start giving broad interpretation to political events. Begin to act as an agent of expansion and growth....stop compressing and injecting caustic views into what ordinarily is dynamic and spirited. True talk... I hope this punchline left 'em with red n black eyes |
