Mayor21:From the post, Opay and other (MFBs) are not directly affected by the policy, it's important to note that the broader financial ecosystem within which they operate could be impacted. |
I can see that almost all the commentators on this issue have not seen the said advert to enable them to take an informed position, but instead, are already taking sides with some individuals with vested interest, masquerading as defenders of our faith. Why do we always like to play to the gallery? Let somebody post the picture of the controversial advert. |
There is so much atmosphere of doubts around this man and, I will not get carried away by his fame, media packaging, and all the political noise around him. Let's ask the most crucial questions from his handlers. Does he have the capability to run Osun state? Has he managed a firm, be it private or public, before now? Has his wealthy and influential family entrusted him with one of their numerous family businesses before now? What were his past achievements in life? There is no doubt that the current government is not be performing at the optimum level. We do not want a repeat of an era where Bisi Akande was ousted and replaced by Oyinlola, who succeeded in setting Osun backward for eight years. Osun people need to think well this time around. |
You need to stop using razors to shave, and if you must use them, then shave in the direction of your hair growth and do not shave against the direction. I used to have something close to that before but took the above advice. I have stopped using the razors completely and now use clippers to shave. |
Sometimes i feel the type of educational system we adopted is a complete fraud or a deliberate act by the our colonial masters to keep us perpetually at the bottom of events. Reading comments from the young and not too young in this forum, i thereby conclude that we have a real logway to go. Our hypocrisy, nepotism and self illusion is out of this world. I will conclude by saying an adage in Yoruba that " A child that has not been privileged to visit other people's farms will erroneously think his father's farm is the largest in the whole wide world". |
I don't know where the sudden sympathies for the notorious criminal and fugitive are coming from. Let set the record straight and reasonably pick up the debate of his death, whether right or wrong from there. Firstly, Gana was a known militant with armies of militants in his camps taking laws into their hands by way of killing, kidnapping, and committing other heinous vices which at some points was declared wanted with a juicy bounty dangled on his head. Secondly, Gana was not a first time offender as he was previously granted amnesty by the same Governor Ortom some years back. He was given roles to play by the same governor and returned to his old ways as soon as he was relieved of his roles by Ortom. The whataboutism of Bokoharam members being granted amnesty: If you follow the story very well, you would have understood that all the captured Bokoharam militants were profiled and the group granted amnesty were not the core Bokoharam boys but were those conscripted to fight for them by abducting them after their dependents were killed by the same Bokoharam. Though I am not making case for Bokoharam, in the real sense of it, if someone was forced to fight on behalf of a militant group against his will and was finally captured, is there no place for such fellow in our society. Remember, they are first time offenders, unlike Gana, who got amnesty on a plater of gold and other goodies that came along with amnesty and still reverted to their old ways. An honest question now to you all sympathetic to Gana, if Gana was a Hausa Muslim from core north and was treated the same way, would you have been this sympathetic to him? We reek bigotry and our double standard in this nation is unparalleled. |
My favorite ayah is the most repeated ayah in Surah Ar-Rahman Quran 55 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

DamnNiggar:Have you taken time to read from both side of the divides in the CAMA law debate, i will enjoy you to do so rather than allowing your emotions to becloud your sense of judgement. Do you know the churches in questions were registered as NGO with trustees and in the eyes of law, those registered churches are corporate organisations and you expect government not to regulate them? How many mosques have you seen registered in Nigeria? Why registering Churches? |
The girl in question may have died of ruptured Fallopian tube due to ectopic pregnancy. I once got involved in a similar case several years back and it was the postmortem test that saved the accused person, even though, he had spent two months plus in detention before been discharged and acquitted in a law court. |
Let me lend my 50 cent to the matter: Please note that this is just an advice to be taken or rejected. I might not know how relationships work among the teaming youths of nowadays, but i do know when there is genuine love in the air. let me ask you few questions which i would like you to answer with sincerity. Does the girl in question posses, per chance the qualities, perhaps upto 70% qualities you would want in your future wife? Assuming that you were not privy to those damaging messages you saw that turned you off, would she have been a perfect partner to you? If you answer is yes, then you probably have your wife and if your answer is no, then call the relationship a quit now before it is too late. Some of us received worst insults from our spouses several years back before settling down with the same women, guess what i normally do when i remembered the "yanga years", i would allow Madam to dress up for an outing before ordering her back to the "other room" just to cash fun. Do not let pride and an unforgiving heart cost you your future. Good wives are hard to come by but cheap and terrible ones are everywhere. A word they say is enough for the wise. |
Thanks to op for the beautiful pictures, even though we are on lockdown here but it does brighten my day. You made me remember my short stay in Greece some years back to attend a professional course at OTE Acedemy. I did enjoyed myself during my stay and the people were very friendly as well. |
I stopped commenting on Nairaland months ago due to some unruly kids who throw insult at their father's age-grade simply because they disagreed with the person's viewpoint. My opinion on this matter: For those of you who are already seeing Wike as being bold and possibly local champion, bet it with me, he would soon reverse himself as we are already used to him and his policy somersault. Wike suddenly tuned to Rivers peoples' boy, kindly ask him which rivers people was he referring to? The same rivers people he risked their lives by holding PDP state congress when Lagos was already battling with Covid-19. Where was he when police killed Chima and detained others extra judicially under his wash and uptill now he refused to make comment over the issue. If you think Wike love Rivers people you need to rethink again as he only loves money and power. He would not even take a quarter of insults he throws to the presidency and traditional rulers from any of his subordinates. If Rivers state government or Federal Government can take half of measures taken by the same oil companies he is disturbing up and down we would have been doing well in our fight against the virus. Bottom line is that he wants his share of Covid-19 money from federal government and also wants oil companies to donate money to Rivers state government in respect of Covid-19 fight. |
Is shipment to Nigeria included in the quoted prices? |
Who else noticed the pictures were taken from a rice plantation. Job welldone gallant boys and more grease to your elbows. |
1metre:The marriage between Chief Alex Akinyele former minister of information from Ondo state to his late south African wife Yvonne Imogen Akinyele lasted more than 25 years till death do them part. If you search very well you will find many more. |
I wonder if Mr Obi has denied owning one of the Ikoyi flats where huge foreign currencies were found sometimes ago. Check this link for verification http://saharareporters.com/2017/04/18/names-lagos-luxury-apartment-owners-address-where-50m-was-found-efcc-revealed deomelo: www.nairaland.com/attachments/7970188_renoobi_png887460a7337916b6d78955438b78da02 The only place I have a home is Onitsha, but I lived in the UK and have a home i the UK so I really was lying, I do have a home outside Onitsha. Reno is so dumbo, stewpid and idiotic, the clown contradicted himself. How hard is it to read and comprehend simple English words?...but of course, the clown was defending obvious lies with his own lies and idiocy. .[/b] |
I do hope my Igbo brothers will see beyond their noses before MASSOB plug this highly industrious, highly smart, highly intelligent and hardworking race into another senseless war that will take years to recovered from. Come to think of it, what does Igbo as a race stand to loose or gain if GEJ looses forth coming election. Even if he wins, four years can not be enough to right whatever wrongs my Igbo brothers think Nigeria state has done to them. After 4 years what lies ahead? Me think Igbo race will loose more than all other races in Nigeria should there be another round of violence. They should warn MASSOB who do not generally reflect average thinking of the Igbo to stop beating drums of war. It will do nobody good. |
I think Op is economical with truth, the school in question is very close to my house. Why did he refuse to show the block buildings of the school so that people can have clear view of the school. The school is a brainchild of communal effort. I promise to post the whole pictures of the school environment today once i get home. |
@op, I think you should clearly define what you mean by good or evil because what is good for Mr A might be evil and unfortunate incidence for Mr B. I will give you an example now. (1) Mr banker is a good loving husband, father and prays to God every morning (2) Mr mechanics is also a family man praying for daily bread (3) Mr panel beater is equally hoping to share from God grace (4) Mr Doctor has spent almost 9 years of his life studying his acts and equally wants to be provided for. (5) Mr Policeman also has family to take care of, he prays to God for mega bread An accident occurred and got Mr Banker badly injured and his car damaged. To Mr Banker this is evil To Mr Mechanics, Mr Panel beater, Mr Doctor, and Mr Police God has done it again. You can see that what is evil to one is equally good to four and what is good to one can be evil to another four or more. Meanwhile God is God for all, he must provide sustenance for all. |
