@Ehimax, A lot of company/institutions have come up with different certificate they offer in HSE, very few are credible. And even fewer offer any meaningful recognisable certification. Alway verify the type of certificate a company offer before paying. If i may advice, NISP certificates is a good place to start. If you can afford it, then go for NEBOSH or IOSH certificate which is recognise by most reputable company. The company you quoted in ur post have very shallow course content. There is much more a beginner should know more than they advertise. Just that the price is cheap.

@Experts in the house, i have seen where the use of PVC ceiling at homes aided the spread of fire from the kitchen quickly to other parts of the house. They are beautiful and cheap to use, but please be quided in your use of PVC ceiling. They should not be exposed to direct heat, such as non-energy bulbs. a house close to mine was partly burnt and it was caused by heating from a bulb directly to the PVC ceiling.

@ Ms_Janie, No you're not right with your conclusions. Most company will not employ you without some sort of cert and experience. The field of HSE is becoming more competitive and more persons are getting certificates and experience along the way. I know of a friend who lost a job opportunity (worth 700K/month) with all his qualifications and experience on the grounds of not having BOSIET certificate (This certificate is for those working offshore and need water survival training). So, if you don't have experience to back up your job search, then get the certifications. hope that helps

@chinosxl. Some of the fees you paid are a reap off. For example the tax clearance you don't have to pay them that cos they are not responsible for collecting tax for rivers state. Any money you give to them for that is lost cos it'll not be remitted to river state internal revenue board. The two approval you need to be able to start you building are the LGA approval, but you can get this right now form the right source cos the LGA staff have not been working. The other one is the state ministry of urban development, and this one won't process ur paper with first seeing that the LGA has approved. With this approvals , you can start ur building and continue the pursuit of C of O. Half of what is on ur list is pure scam. Or you can get the services of property lawyer who know the right papers to get for you and the people authorize to issue them. I didn't pay half of what you want to pay to get this papers sorted out

Prices for land depends on the area you re interested in. Eneka area goes for 2mil and above, igrita cost less and the Obio/akpor international market new layout cost from 5mil and above. Nta road area in at mgboaba cost from 1.5mil and above. All this areas are newly developing areas you can easily get land for sales. Sometimes i wonder why people don't take time to get more info before making decisions. I've met poeple who say their mechanic advised them to change an injector to a carburetor. The first question i like to ask them is, who is wiser? your mechanic who sit by the road side or the engineers who design the car. Out of frustation they never understand my point.

It's very dumb to make changes like this to your car. instead sell the car and get a 1980 car that uses carburetor!!

well, your options will be limited. mostly cars from yr 2000 and below. you can get a 1996 camry for around that price, Carina E, several volvo of yr 2000 and below. Jetta or yr 2000 Vento without A/C. Gulf 3. just do your research
