You must understand something, all Southern politicians are driven by untold degree of selfishness. While in office, they are all aspiring for the next office. The strategy to get on the ladder is to sacrifice their people, their towns and villages and their region. They do everything possible to please the Hausa Fulani Northerners in order to be favoured. We can go back a little to pull out some examples.

(1). Governor Peter Odili wanted to run for presidency, he squandered River State money on Northern Emirs and Northern Opinion leaders. At the end, he failed.

(2). General Olusegun Obasanjo held up all development programmes in the South and promoted infrastructure development in the North in order to get the 3rd term agenda through. At the end, he failed.

(3). James Ibori wanted to be a Vice President to President Yar’dua, in place of Jonathan. Delta State Liaison office in Abuja, became an ATM for all the Northern PDP members. At the end, not only did he fail, he was sent to prison.

(4). Jonathan Goodluck postponed South South development to his anticipated second tenure and put in all resources to the rehabilitation of the Almajiris, Emirs Palace from Sokoto to Maiduguri. Built Abuja-Kaduna Rail line when Lagos-Ibadan Expressway was impassable, East-West Road was a mere historical concept; built and completed Federal Universities in Katsina, Jigawa, etc but did foundation ground breaking for the the Federal University in Bayelsa. At the end, he was sent out of the Villa by the Northern INEC Chairman he appointed.

(5). Under Jonathan, the then Minister for Aviation, Stella Odua, funded in full, the rehabilitation and upgrading of the Kano, Sokoto, Katsina Airports but Port Harcourt Airport operated from a Tarpaulin, Enugu completely short down. At the end, AMCON took over all her assets and currently facing EFCC.

(6). Our brother Ibe Kachukwu was the Chairman of NNPC BOT and Petroleum Minister at the same time. He promoted the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano Gas Pipeline. He rehabilitated the Petroleum institute in Kaduna when the Petroleum Institute in Warri was not captured in the budget. He was humiliated out of office.

(7). Obono Obla, SAN was appointed the Chairman of Government Asset Recovery Committee. His target was only all past office holders from the South South and South East. At the end, he was framed and arrested.

( 8 ). The immediate past Managing Director of NDDC and Akwa Ibom State APC Governorship candidate, Nsima Ekere gave out emergency jobs (contracts) only to Southern Contractors fronting for Northerners. NDDC became an ATM for “the Villa Boys”. Where is he now?

(9). Rotimi Amaechi is lobbying to be the next Vice President, in 2023. His first action is to sell the South and became a saboteur. No wonder why as a Transport Minister, he found it very necessary to build the Lagos-Ibadan- Abuja-Kaduna-Kano-Katsina Rail line, Calabar-Maiduguri Rail line, Transport University in Katsina. The Great Eastern Railway line From Port Harcourt via Aba, Onitsha to Enugu to Okene in his books, is not feasible.
The minister is completing the biggest rail and road line into Niger Republic and towards the border of Niger Republic and other countries while the roads in the south are impassable. What Niger Republic has benefited in this Administration is bigger that all that South-South and South-East combined. Who are the Managing Directors of Nigerian Ports Authority and NIMASA?

(10). The current Petroleum Minister, Chief Timipre Sylva, has initiated the construction of the Ajaokuta-Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Gas Pipeline to facilitate the building of a Gas Power Station in Abuja and Kaduna and “to turn Kano into an Industrial Head Quarters”. The man is from Bayelsa State where there is over 90% unemployment and no electricity from National Grid.

(11). Ahmed Tinubu, for his desire to rule Nigeria practically sold the South and with his bullion vans rigged Buhari to power. History will tell of him soon like others.

(12). The number of appointments of people from Niger Republic in Buhari Administration is bigger than all south combined and all the National Assembly members are aware but keep quiet because of future ambition and to avoid probe.

The Nigeria government is stoking more fire via security agents in the East. For how long can you hold a people down by force? Nigeria has matured for disintegration and the east will definitely ignite it. The Nigerian Army is war weary, the outfit has been fighting Boko Haram insurgents in the Northeast for over two decades without the war showing any sign of abatement, now banditry has sprung up in the Northwest and rearing its ugly head in the North central.

The Unknown Gunmen are doing their own in the Southeast while straying into Cross-rivers and Rivers States both in the SouthSouth every now and then, the Southwest is experiencing its own crisis of kidnap by criminal herdsmen which has given rise to secessionists agitation.

In all of these, the Nigerian Army is stretched thin with soldiers either deserting in droves or falling cheaply to the firepower of terrorists and bandits alike across the country. Let's pray the ghosts of the Niger Delta militancy do not resurface in our creeks and swamps across the SouthSouth especially now that the nation's economy is near comatose.

Any outright breakout of war in Nigeria will be devastating to everyone and every region. Before this scary event is allowed to blossom there is the need to jaw-jaw for the avoidance of war-war.

To them that have ears let them hear as we all know, a larger percentage of NIGERIANS do not have a plan B should there be war.

Stop postponing the evil days.

Joe Igbokwe escapes attack, as angry Igbo Youths in Lagos goes after him

The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Government on Environmental Cleansing and Protection, Hon Joe Igbokwe was at the early hours of Monday attacked by some group of youths identified as Igbo Youths who lives in Lagos.

According to eye witnesses, Honourable Igbokwe narrowly escaped the attack with his driver on his way to work, along Surulere axis of the State, when some group of men trooped out in their numbers and descended on his vehicle, trying so hard to bring him and the driver out of the car, but luck was on his side when the driver managed to zoom off without minding the traffic signals.

However, it was also gathered that the group of young men who were speaking Igbo went after Honourable Igbokwe but couldn't get him as the driver geared up the vehicle speed.

Meanwhile, the Police arrived at the scene to calm the situation down but the youths were unable to listen to them as they were busy chanting chorus of war in Igbo dialect "We will catch Joe Igbokwe, either here in Lagos or in Igboland. We have declared him wanted. Enough is enough. We have had enough of his nonsense." They chorused.

However, it could be recalled that Honourable Joe Igbokwe has been against the Biafra Movement right from the time of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu till date and has been championing lots of media war against the movement.

Why Are Igbos Not Dociled or Easily Controlled Like Other Ethnic Groups/Tribes? I have followed this country in history and experience, one thing is certain with respect to unshackling Nigeria from the control of foreign forces and bondage, the Igbos resistance and stubbornness as clearly seen from history and also cited in many colonial books by whites. You cannot dictate for this people and neither can you put them in box. From 1960s to date, they are the only major ethnic group that have tried many times and continue to try to unshackle all us from this bondage we are under.

To start with, I personally appreciate your effort to give every Nigerians the opportunity to air their views via your forum. However, I feel a huge responsibility is placed on you to make sure the forum promotes the diversity of your country, my country, our country —Nigeria.

The hate on this forum is too much. Yoruba versus Igbo is promoted here. Members use this forum to promote North versus South hate. This is not healthy for Nigeria. Take for instance one certain Simplyleo, Arewa1stson and host of monikers which allegedly represent the interest of their regions and political parties by insulting and running down other tribes, regions and even religion.

Why should members call others Pigs, Afonja, IPOB, Aboki just because they don't agree with some minute individuals from other ethnic, religious and regional extraction.

As an atheist, I believe this is an opportunity to be a light in the darkness of the country filled so-called religious individuals.

Though the hate may imply more traffic, I don't think revenue is more valuable than human lives.


Remember, should Nigeria collapse or War break out, there may not be NairaLand again!!!

Without Nigeria, Yorubas will eat themselves alive through internal civil war between Christians and Muslims and other sub-groups marginalising themselves. The same would applies to igbos and other tribes North and South. In Biafra that includes the SS tribes, igbos would dominate and marginalize the smaller minority tribes. Buhari has shown that lack of leadership is the root cause of division. Atiku is coming to change all that in 2023, Insha Allah. If Atiku doesn't win in 2023, things will only become far worse for us all. Nigeria is what is holding us all together.
