Willokafor:I have experienced the above situation some time ago and I noticed it always happened in the two decoding device. Anytime 51 east is not the first satellite that was scanned into it. So what I normally do whenever I encounter such. Is to do a factory reset Or delete all existing channels. Then go back and make sure that 51 east, satellite / channels is what I scan first into the decoding device. Before adding/ scanning other satellite channels. It always make the channel to come up. davosea:From my point of view, there is no one answer to this technical issue you are having. So let me outline some of the things that could possibly bring about such. = substandard Rf modulator = wrong Av cord ( is it follow come? ) = negative and positive wires in your RF Cable, contacting each other. = some Rf modulator will bring out more than one same channels on different frequencies when scanning on your TV. The first channel that pops up is never clear and it keeps scanning until it brings out the one with a clear picture quality. So keep your eyes on the TV and watch out for that. Because it will help you know if really the particular modulator you bought can or was doing that. So probably the clearer channel is there but you missed it. You can still upload a picture of the modulator you're using here. It can still help to give the house a clarity of what you are working with. Thereby giving room for more information to give to you. That is if you have not succeeded in fixing the issue after observing some of the things I listed above. Best of luck By the way before I forget to ask, are you the one who did the wiring yourself ? or the house has already been wired and you just plugged in the rf out cable to the TV port on the wall? If you're not the one that did the wiring yourself.. I will advice you to loose out the each TV port ... The one feeding the connection from the living room where your decoder is and the rest feeding the two TVs. Check to make sure that the cable wires are connected properly. Because I have seen different cases where the electrician that wired the house. Never bothered to connect anything, both in the rf socket and sometimes I had to trace the problem to the roof and notice that the wire coming from the living room. Terminated somewhere in the roof and not loop out to any of the rooms . Thereby eliminating any possibility of current flow. The above situation can very much make every effort to be fruitless, even if you're using the most expensive modulator in the market. So please don't overlook but try to confirm 1 Like |

harizonal123:For the record, the channels there are currently off. However, in terms of a favourite channel in that particular sat. My personal view will be out of place because the channel that really hyped that sat, was the sport station. Which is really not my thing anymore. I am more of local/foreign news and foreign TV series. Which has shifted my attention to 4.8degree east C-band. Where I can watch the likes of Ait Tvc news Tvc entertainment Hip TV Wap tv And there I was so outdated in the satellite tv world, until a brother here reminded me of what I have forgotten for so long to try. So I connected a modem to my 4954 decoder and the free one year account that came with it gave me full access to watch the AFN package there. There I was so blinded by the hype that only forever server could do that back then. amnolimit:Remember I gave you two methods and each still suggest that you have to take your dish downwards. So considering that you are yet to get what you are looking for, still suggest that you have to move your dish a little more down. Two things are involve, your ability to distinguish the two points in which that frequency pop up signal. The second one that came up when you slid your dish a little down and move slightly to your left while standing behind your dish. Should be that of 32.9/ 33 degree east. |

Avedonn:It's not something a software can fix. Because it's a hardware issue. Your decoder is encoded with a H264 hardware. So you will need a decoder that is encoded on H265 hardware, should you choose to receiver channels transmitting on that format |

amnolimit:Your matter is very easy to resolve. First off is that 28.2 degree east has channels transmitting on that same frequency. Which is still a plus for you because all you have to do is simply slid your dish between one to two inches down and that same tp will still pop up signal. At that point you can align your dish to give you the best signal possible. Scan again and the station you are looking for will come up. Once again, all you have to bear in mind is that the frequency 11015 H 30000 will give you signal, in two exact position along that axis. The first one that pops up signal as you are sliding your dish down is 28.2 ( joy tv position) and the second that pops up signal as you move your dish a little more downwards is 32.9/33 degree east ( Ourtv Ghana position) Furthermore, you can still use the below method. In your tracking device.... Input these two frequencies 11015 H 30000 12522 V 30000 So when you track with 11015 H 30000 , check if 12522 V 30000 gives you signal. If it does, then you're still in 28.2 degree east, slid your dish down and if at this point only 11015 H 30000 gives you signal and 12522 V 30000 is red or off. Then you are most likely on the right sat. Which ever method you choose to try all that counts is you getting the results you desire. Good luck. 1 Like |

But on the other hand, if you try to control how people say it on Nairaland, which is just a fraction of the online community. How do you control the rest of the online community? Which makes it almost next to impossible to reduce the noise. Take for example that you live in a public compound and you reduce the volume of your sound system. Just to get a good sleep. But every other person in the compound keep playing their music so so loud. Then the purpose of trying to kill that noise by the reducing the volume in your own room will only amount to nothing. Which leaves one with two choices, you either adapt to the noise or you go live in a more quiet area. Translation > enjoy the FTA while it last, because it has a limited lifespan, if it's content is premium. But if you can't deal with the sadness that comes when the noise behind the FTA ends, then you do the needful by buying the most secured and legal decoder that keeps you enjoying the premium content. I still strongly believe that one day one day. Just like internet service provider worked out a more robust and cheaper data rate option. Just to frustrate and eliminate all those who opened or use free browsing tricks to draw crowd to their blog, website or forum. Not to attract much attention or run out of business. In that same path will something cheaper for viewing sports will someday become a reality. But until that day comes ..trying to silence people's excitement in telling their fellow members that a station showing a particular content of interest. Is on FTA test transmission . May only be possible under your own roof, while the other roof is busy shouting out loud and their members are enjoying it. To whom it may concern... This is what you already know but for some reason you just want to be double sure it's a way out, since the flash drive issue in ourTV decoder is yet to be resolved. Will inserting a micro SD card of 32 to 64 gigabyte, in a USB card reader to function as an alternative. Since we have been told that the decoder it's only limited to a 4 gigabyte Flash drive work  ? I said a big Yes to that question. Since 2014, that I followed that path, I have noticed that it has always succeeded, where flash drive has failed. So since then, I will rather buy a larger memory card and store my info/movies or use for PVR functionality in any decoder I insert it to with a USB card reader/ adaptor 1 Like 1 Share
