Just like the Dlollyboi1, said, the dollar sign does not apply to all decoders. So do as he has instructed.

gurus in the house does the height of dish have anything to do with reception because I have seen 90cm ontop of building while some are not far from the ground level.

The reasons you see that happens has to do with but not entirely the availability of the platform needed to install the dish.

For example you want to install a dish facing the eastern region but the eastern part of the building has a blockage in front of it. When mounted on the ground but mounting the dish higher up, tends to create an open space that guarantees a better reception.

Another reason might be because there is no stronger surface that will hold the nails firmly on the ground level. Which as a result made the installer to go end up placing it at the top level.

Furthermore, the top level might just create an open space for the installer to have freedom to turn the dish from east to west without any obstruction.

So is safe to say, that you can install the dish very low to the ground without any problem at all. Provided the line of sight needed to get a good reception, be it east or west. Has nothing that will block the dish from getting a good reception from the sat position you desire to track.

I am sorry bro, the dish is not facing that direction currently. However tvc , has been off for some time before I changed the direction. As for Hip TV, they sometimes goes off air and come back anytime they like. From observation.

One of the ways to track a satellite using phones without a satfinder gadgets handy.

Requirements
A. 2 smartphones
B. Download a dish pointer app on smartphone.
C. Download WhatsApp on the phones.

Use a dish pointer app earlier downloaded to locate the direction of your choice satellite. (Azimuth)

Set you elevation by using the indication at the back of your dish.

Now to Align your dish properly. This is when we now need the two phones.
Do a video call on whatsapp on one of the phone and place it in your seating room facing the TV. It is assumed you have plugged your decoder and imputes the TP and its showing on your TV.

Take the second phone with you up the ladder ( Your TV is mirrored here to see your
signal strength and signal quality)

Begin to adjust your dish left to right or up and down while looking at your phone to see if it will hit green. Tightened your dish at maximum signal quality.
That's the summary.
I have used this method to find different satellites.

But you can turn the page backwards to see if you like the names that was discussed earlier

I feel your pain my bro. My relationship with that family started and ended with iPhone 6. After some period of usage it dawn on me that all I can do with the phone is show off. But after showing off, it makes me feel like I am using someone's phone due to too much restrictions to endless possibilities. When compared to android based phone. That became very boring. I just carry am give madam , then stroll go slot and ported to Samsung note family. A decision I have never regretted ever since then. Because with android everything is almost possible.... Strong 497s has a very good tuner and comes with free 1yr mytv cccam. It's rugged but does not support decryption protocol like biss, powervu etc. About 20k+

Hellobox 8 comes with dvbfinder to watch sat on your mobile. Great signal tuner and smooth UI. Comes with SCAM+ account that opens zap and some European birds. About 20k+

You could also go for the tiger and mediastar series that has the acclaimed forever server which opens European bird and some stations on startimes 16E. Also connects with the GM screen app to control your box and track. Between 10k-20k
