So for the principal applicant, he/she signs their own schedule A. When the spouse or child/dependent fill their own, they sign (or sign for the child)?

It might be lying but it is her best bet to move forward without too much time wasted. Her husband can’t send her passport to immigration because it would incriminate him and support her statement that her passport was “lost/stolen”. He would have to explain what he was doing with her passport in the first place without her knowledge.

If you want to get a passport as a Nigerian, you're either getting a fresh one or renewing on basis of expiration/loss/Theft so what exactly are you on about?

so when her COPR is kept on humanitarian grounds and the Husband claims not to have the passport still, what happens? she will affix the visa to her forehead and travel abi she'll go to passport office to say my husband has it but please give me new one.

That's lying. If the husband wanted to get back at her, he could easily send her passport to Canadian immigration and say she lied that her old passport was lost. She would then be completely screwed.

She can still keep her COPR on humanitarian grounds, she just has to report this fast enough.

OMG I can't believe I'm back here with my own testimony. I promised I'll be back to give God all the glory when I finally got the golden letter and to encourage someone, because all the golden mail stories gave me so much hope.

So he told us he was tired of his own waiting and got info to write a strongly worded letter to the immigration minister. We decided to do the same and sent a letter to the minister on 24/05/2022. Fortune finally smiled on us and we got a mail on 11/06/2022 for ADR to submit police report, passports for my husband and son, and schedule A for my husband and I. We submitted the documents on 7/7/2022 with our deadline being the next day (8th). On the 20th of July, I logged into our profile only to discover the documents were not transmitted. This thread is a huge goldmine. Every single thing I learnt about this entire process was from here. Onto the next!!!!!

First there is no strong proof that he really took the passport and copr and even if matters where to be taken to the next level, he can adequately defend his claims.
I will say this to the OP from lots of experience from marital war like this; I don't know your religion but first ask your God for help.
Secondly pls dissapoint his expectations by disobeying the law of equall and opposite reaction; he expects you to make a mountain out of this with family, him etc. Instead, show him what he saw in you that made your marriage possible in the first place, though it will be very hard at this moment, but try. You would be amazed what feeding his man Ego would do and may even fix your almost broken marriage. Some person do some silly things out of anger but with the right attitude they might even be the one come crawling back to you.

I have not in any way exonerated the husband's retaliation. If anything, the joy that comes with a PR is enough to even make both of them dance away whatever grudge has been held.

Clearly in this case the husband does not agree with you because he has abandoned his heavily pregnant wife in the name of punishing her (according to you)

If he is denied his PR or citizenship as a result of your reporting him. You would have just succeeded in making an already bad situation worse! I will advise you tread with caution. Hold on a little. I believe he wants to see you handle this with maturity. You might consider calling family members first before taking such a harsh line of action.

From your narrative, I think it's not really about these petty issues you mentioned, rather it's more about the words you trade and bandy with him in your moments of anger and quarrel. When he starts nagging about you not being submissive, simply apologize or if you feel you don't owe him an apology, just remain mute. Words said in moments of anger (especially by most women) can be extremely hurtful, and some men don't forget them easily. You strike me like someone who would retort at every word said! some women believe they must have the last say.

Man: you have disobeyed me, this wasn't our initial plan
Woman: In what way have I disobeyed you, oga sabinus, you always play Mr. Know it all. Am I your slave?
Man: You are not submissive
Woman: *laughs and claps loudly* Oh! so, you married me to worship you, you have failed o, if that's what you thought. It's 50/50, nobody is oga in this house
Man: Okay, I will show you that I'm the oga in the house. There can't be two captains in a ship
Woman: Shame on you! go and do your worst!

The man leaves with resentment that his wife has dared him, and thinks of every possible way to prove he is a man. He seeks every means to implement his worst action and teach the wife a lesson without lifting his hands, lest he is described as a violent man or even accused of physical assault. An apology or keeping quiet could have nipped the whole matter in the bud. Since the lady doesn't apologize, he must hatch a plan to prove a point and make you come back on bended knees.

So, madam, this is just an illustration o! I'm not saying that this was what transpired, but that in most cases it's the words that have been traded in moments of anger that precipitate vendetta. I don't think your husband will be so wicked as to deny you (and the unborn kid) access to such an opportunity. He just wants to seize the passport for a while to see whether you'll be humble enough to apologize. I doubt if you have apologized! you're prolly still holding stubbornly to your own threats as well. You guys are in that power-tussle stage most newlyweds go through to establish supremacy - this usually occurs when the couple both have ego issues. Your story reads too one-sided to believe he's that cruel. To be honest, holding tenaciously to an unapologetic stance and claiming you've done nothing wrong doesn't help sometimes.

I'm shocked that some people here are suggesting you report to IRCC to deport him and you have already started taking the suggestion as the best line of action, without firstly exploring peaceful resolution - this is the more reason I mentioned earlier that you are also probably contributing to the problem through your obstinate stance to matters. Seek peaceful resolution first, extend the olive branch, then give some time for him to reflect on your peaceful approach, if he remains unyielding, then you can take the radical approach. One comes before the other!

How would that have happened if he had let her travel? If they had travelled together and then separated, they would have had a thread of misrepresentation hovering over their heads because the breakdown was already present at the time of landing. Omo na wa sha o. Things are really occurring. I don’t even understand why he would do this? Did he feel used or what? He had no right to take her passport sha. He should have just gotten a divorce and informed ircc, removed her from the application and moved on with their lives. But there’s even a baby in question now. I doubt her copr will be reissued though. She won’t be allowed to land as there are already cracks in the marriage. The marriage is clearly headed for divorce. Landing with her as a dependent would have been misrepresentation but he had no right to seize her passport. He should have just informed ircc of the separation and her copr would have been cancelled. Well, the woman should report to the Canadian authorities and see how it goes. But she won’t be able to land as a Pr when she informs ircc of the issue. The man might even become inadmissible as well because he didn’t inform them of the separation.

I got my PPR by God's grace after I've been on the journey for over 2 years now.
I added spouse during the process but he is unaccompanied, I want to send my passport to a visa office but I'm confused about the 'Appendix A' part of the form Ive been asked to submit. I don't know if his details should be there or not. I know for sure that I am not sending his passport.

Anyone that has done a spouse unaccompanied application or knows better should kindly help out.

contact ircc or go to their. Has committed an offence seizing your passport, he will not be able to get citizenship and will be sent back to Nigeria after pr expires. Things are happening

me thinks report to IRCC and see if COPR will be reissued. If yes, apply for new passport and declare old one lost/stolen then follow the advice bolded.

* Church mind will advise you to reach out to him any way you can (even if it's through his family). Ask him to urgently return your passport and COPR. Tell him plain plain that you will report him to IRCC if you do not get it within a week. Get the passports and travel to the city of your choice.

* The alternative is to report him to IRCC without warning.

The only concern is that if he is of a truly evil bent, how will you prove that he has the passport & COPR? He could argue that it was left in Nigeria and you lost it!

sorry about your experience...repeating what everyone else has said, pls keep sending multiple webforms daily with your evidence along with proof that you have paid for passport and a detailed LOE. Also call if your VO is in Canada.

Good day everyone. Please I received a refusal letter today due to an error from IRCC. I recently had a newborn and I formed IRCC to that effect via the web form. I received the automated reply that they would reach out to me. They did reach our and asked that I upload the passport biodata of my new born which I don't have yet. I reached out to them via the web from to ask for an extension and was expecting to hear from them that the extension had been granted. But to my surprise yesterday, what i did receive was a refusal letter yesterday stating that i did not provide the passport page requested before the stated deadline and did not communicate with them either for an extension which i did. I have sent another web form this morning explainingthis and also attached the automated email i received on the day I asked for an extension. ( it was not my first time asking for an extension regarding any document that I needed time to provide, the last being my spouse's renewed passport biodata which took forever. I was granted the extension for my spouse so Im no novice with their web form). Kindly advice me what other steps I can take to rectify this because starting the application from scratch due to IRCC's error is not an option for me. Looking forward to your kind contributions. Thank you.

get salary certificate and add to your payslip....if your documents are genuine then give yourself peace of mind...

Summary and timelines

IELTS: November 2019 (L: 8, S: 9, W: 7, R: 9, overall: 8.5).
ECA: April 15, 2020 (I used WES)
CRS: 475
Entered the pool: May 19, 2020
ITA: September 2, 2020
Upfront medicals: October 15, 2020
Aor: November 4, 2020
Bil: January 10, 2021
Upfront medicals: March 18, 2022 (raised webform and didn’t get a reply till after 2 months, *sigh*)
Medicals request: April 9, 2022
ADR schedule A, PCC and PoF: April 11, 2022 (for PCC I only did for Nigeria given that I had previously submitted my UK PCC and had only lived in Nigeria since my AOR)
ADR submitted: April 14, 2022
Medicals passed: June 17, 2022 (after raising about 3 webforms)
PPR email: June 22, 2022


One thing that is for sure is that this whole process has been torture This process has humbled me and thought me patience.

i dunno where that screenshot originated from but it's valid 2 years from test date. when you write sef, they will announce it at the center (at least they did at mine). Also when you create a profile and input ielts test date, your profile becomes invalid once 2yrs from test date reach and no ITA

The two years actually counts from the test report form date. That would most likely be the result release date.

Got SINP ITA this July. Part of our POF was in treasury bill since February and was in excess of the amount we needed to show. In May hubby liquidated it in other to withdraw the excess fund for business. The liquidated funds has since been in his savings account with same bank. The last withdrawal made was on June 23 but our total POF is not reduced/short despite these withdrawals. Should this pose a problem I’m looking forward to your responses please.

should be fine...submit the treasury bill certificate from February as well as statement showing where the money was withdrawn to your account. LOE too would work.

I think cio is Nova Scotia so maybe try calling them at exactly few mins to 12noon our time to speak to an agent and explain whats up. whatever you do, it's not advisable to send passport before adding baby. if passport was ready now i for say add baby's passport to docs with an LOE and send forms via webform.

Try calling, there's a possibility that your VO is in canada so you'll get to speak to an agent

My husband got a ready for visa mail and he was asked to complete the below steps within 30 days in order for the office to issue COPR.

Our challenge now is that my new born has not been added. I sent series of case specific form to update them on the new born and also explain to them the unavailability of international passport for her. I guess they did not see any.

In the mail, a webform link was provided for any update in change of circumstances but the challenge we have is not knowing our processing office. Which is part of the questions asked.

I need a guide, I tried applying for SINP, but my challenge is that my NOC (2171 tech) must match my ECA I had my degrees in social sciences.

I had BCS (2 or more) which is related to my NOC.

My questions:

Can I use (evaluate) my BCS which matches my NOC for SINP purposes? given that my undergraduate NOC is 2171 (they are related)

Won't my ECA in social sciences affect negatively my present NOC which is in tech now?
