Please is anyone landing in Saskatchewan in the next few days/weeks or anyone recently landed? My friend is landing in a couple of weeks and in search of affordable accommodation. She’ll be attending the university of Saskatchewan from January and needs a place to stay and possibly airport pick up.
So if you have a vacant room or know anyone who has or want to share, please reach out and lets go from there.
Thanks |

Can I pay the fee with Naira at Ecobank or can I transfer from USD DOM account? Please advice. Thanks You would probably be doing a dorm transfer or so |

brandmix: Hi gurus
I recently relocated to UK on a skills worker visa just as my EE ITA came through.
Can someone kindly advise if I can proceed to accept the ITA even though my country of residence has changed (my profile is currently frozen) or do it inform IRCC first and wait for their replay before continuing with my application.
Thanks! Yes you can, why not if not. Go ahead and accept just remember to fill UK as your new country of residence when completing your forms |

Acquiredollars: How long does it take to get the result after Medicals?
Will the result be given to you for upload to your portal or how will the result be transmitted sir?
Thank you sir. The hospital will transmit it. They’ll give you an e-medical sheet that you can upload as evidence of completed medicals. The hospital will let you know how soon or late your result will be transmitted to IRCC. FYI i’m female |

My people!!! Its been a minute and some…
I know i promised landing gist but life is happening. Still trying to get bearing and stuff. But it’s coming soon, i just need to get it out of my draft where It has been sitting for at least 3weeks now.
If you’re landing in Alberta next week, brace yourself and layer up. -20/-25 is what we’re expecting…
If you’re flying Ethiopian air, pack some basic necessities in hand luggage. Your load MAY not arrive with you on the same day as was my case. It was delivered 24hrs later.
If you see me outside, say hello. |

Please I saw an affordable airline ticket to Toronto YYZ but it is Delta airline from Lagos (LOS) to YYZ with a single stopover at "Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport" for 3 hours. Please do I need US-transit visa as I am also connecting to last-leg of the journey at the same airport to Toronto?
Please advise. Yes you do…any flights through the US or more than 1 stop in Eu countries require transit visa |

Teetom04: 1. Learnt police report has a validity of six months 2. The one you have has UK on it and not Canada as the destination l believe.
Try to get a recent PCC with Canada as the destination to avoid ADR
Best
Thanks for your input. My ielts is expiring next month so I’m just trying to put all together ASAP. Best to get your docs submitted and AOR locked in before IELTS expires. Also get a new pcc for Nigeria |

Dimple10: Update on this…
She initially sent her passports to accra but then sent a mail/webform informing them of change of name and they requested she send the new passport along with other documents for name change. Old ppr was canceled, new remed request was issued and eventually name changed plus new ppr.
Passport and copr is back from accra. Quite simple actually. Timeline: First PPR April 14th ADR for change of name( new passport and legal documents that validates name change): May 6 ADR submission May 16 Remed Request June 1 Remed passed June 1 PPR 2 June 18
The process might be short or long depending on how soon they can get new passport and remed slot with IOM or Qlife if they are asked. Cc @gbems90 see here for someone that changed name after ppr so maybe do yours now |

gbems90: Hello house,
My spousal sponsorship application is on-going and with the way the process is progressing, my PPR will drop soon. The passport I used for the application in May is expiring in 6 days time, but I’ve since applied for a renewal plus change of name. I’m told the new passport will be ready soon.
1. Is there any implication if I get PPR before I’m able to inform IRCC of the new passport and also that I changed my maiden name to my husband’s name? 2. How do I handle passport submission (which of the passports will I submit) and would there be any issues at the POE if my COPR and passport has different last names?
Thank you Ofcourse you submit the new/valid passport. You need to start a change of name process via webform ASAP since your new passport carries a different name and if ppr comes it’ll come in then old name. You’ll be asked to submit all legal documents used for name change and explain why you are changing. They’ll Ofcourse request for the new passport copy too so once thats ready send via webform. I have a post about this from a friend somewhere, i’ll try and find it. She changed her name after getting PPR |

fisolaire: Goodmorning, please did you attach a statement to show how the funds in the Piggyvest was accumulated? (Either bank or piggyvest statement) Or just this letter? I attached both statement and letter highlighting when/where transfer came in/from. So my initial application, i used my gtb statement but by the time i added spouse, i had moved my money to piggyvest and my husband sent money to the account too so i submitted both statement and letter plus LoE stating what i just typed above. |

I found no where stated on the reference letter that the fund is unencumbered, did you get letter of non indebtedness from your traditional bank or just the letter from piggyvest was used. So sorry, i haven’t on here in a while. I didn’t submit any letter of indebtedness. The letters i got from piggyvest and my bank was used as given and nothing else was requested.

I only got one letter has the principal applicant being asked to submit the passport, passport photo's, height, eye colour of both I and my dependents. However, I went to submit at DHL today and was advised that it should be more than one letter. that there should be 4 letters(Family of 4). Was anyone issued more than one letter? |

oginnite: OPINION NEEDED
 Work experience 1. Dec 2016 - June 2020 (3yrs, 7months) 2. February 2021 - till Date (1yrs, 8months) The same NOC (Teaching) Total = 5yrs 3month
 Masters Degree March 2017 - September 2018.
NB. I did master during the time i was on my first job and In my Express Entry profile, I already used the first job to claim maximum point under work experience and i did not bother to include the second job since i already have more than 3years in the first job.
My fear now is that,
hope the VO won't calculate the time i used for Masters and deduct it from the 3yrs thereby rendering it ineligible to claim maximum point. should i just add the second job in the profile if my first fear come through?.
I'm asking this because I'm on 492 and chance of ITA this month or November is high.
i appreciate response from Experts here. GraciousWords, Dimple10, ednut1 In addition to what mcstan said, include all other job experience in personal history. |

Alekhine: Hello Team,
I have a question, I recently received my COPR and thinking of getting married before travelling. What will be the best approach here? Is there anyone who has gone through the same thing recently i.e. updating IRCC of change in status and submitting extra documents. How long did the process take? Any and every information is appreciated. Thanks. Gracious and Ednut have provided the answers you seek. |

GraciousWords: Unless you saw Dec 2021 as the medical expiry in your GCMS, then I'm 98.75% sure your COPR expiry will be Feb 2023. IRCC work with the date your Medicals were passed not when you did the Medicals.
Change of date is maybe $100 per ticket but best to check with the airline. I beg to differ. My medicals was done march 18th, passed May 28th but COPR expiry was April 4th. Only God knows where they got their date from. |

njambert: Hi everyone. Happy to inform you that by God's bountiful grace the EOR was successful. Wife's Writing score changed from 6.5 to 7.This guarantees we will be selected in the next draw. I want to ask though, will the TRF Number change as a new TRF will be issued? Because I will be using the current TRF Number for our EE profile I think it remains the same however just edit when you receive new trf if there’s a change |

Will it matter? @ednut1 @dimples @graciouswordd It’s possible. However if you are asked for PoF update, you’ll submit the new evidence plus letter of explanation detailing the above. |
