You posted this on the 4th of February, good to know your husband has resurfaced. However my very candid advise to you is to not do anything to jeopardize your chances in this journey. You have to do things the right way. You are looking for who to help you arrange separation document or what did I read? If you have genuine reasons to be separated from your husband, start it legally now and get a legal document binding your separation from your husband but be ready to face the hurdles of getting him to give a letter of consent to travel with kids (most usually wait till this time). If you don’t mean the separation, the only option is to let him know that him not going for medicals is going to stall your application and he needs to be supportive. He can decide to stay back and not relocate with you if he wants. You are neck deep into this to play games that would affect your application now or later in the nearest future. So I just received my PPR. It has been such a long and arduous journey. It is close to nine months after my first ppr and subsequent addition of my spouse. I wish those still about to get their PPR a resounding goodluck in your journey. Just hang in there, it would get to us all. And to @GraciousWords, thanks for all you do for the community here.

In addition to all what everyone has said, I don't think you'll have much issue changing your spouse to accompanying post PPR. Considering your circumstances of having a newborn on the way, I believe you have a valid reason to convince any processing officer.

Your reason is simple, you and your spouse initially agreed for you to go first because she believed she could manage alone with one child. But while waiting for your visa to be processed, your family situation has changed; you now have a newborn (on the way). This has caused your spouse lots of stress worrying about how she would manage with both kids alone especially while recovering from the childbirth or delivery process as you do not have closed relatives in your city to help. On the other hand, it is also causing you much stress as well thinking that you'll not be part of your newborn's early days and even worse imagining the stress your spouse would go through caring for your kids alone. You fear either or both of you might suffer from mental stress or depression by the time you're finally reunited.

Consequently, you wish to request, and would appreciate their understanding, to add your newborn as an accompanying dependant and also change your spouse and other child as accompanying dependants as well to give you the opportunity to support your family, especially your spouse, to go through this new and daunting phase of your lives. Being together will ensure that you support each other through the toughest periods of anxiety and stress, and help you bond and grow your love more.


You don't have to take the above word for word. But you should be able to coin something out of that. I don't see any deceit or fraud or taking advantage in your situation. Your current situation is genuine and possible even if the initial intention might have been different. I do not want to include this in the above and surely it will not happen to you; but what if the delivery is by CS which takes some women couple of weeks or months to fully heal? What if your spouse suffers post-partum depression? What if she could not produce milk for the first week or two? For a moment, ignore the fact that you're a Nigerian or you live in Nigeria. Out here, these things are given serious consideration and in fact it's within your rights to ask to be with your spouse. So, think like a Canadian resident and go get that visa for your entire family.

I'm not very good with grammar, but I'm sure this can be put succinctly and convincingly with the right words and context. Draft something yourself and give it to someone to proof read. Maybe consult a professional (lawyer or legal practitioner, counsellor, writer, etc.) for help as it's worth it.

I think you can contact IRCC and let them know you have changed your mind and will want your family to accompany you. Since your wife and child has already fulfilled the medical requirement, you will be asked to send in all rhe passports for PR. We have seen previous posts and it adds no complications beyond time.

This seems like complicating issues unnecessarily. In my opinion, you should travel now then start the process of bringing everyone, (including your wife) over when the baby is born. The PPR letter doesn’t say you should inform them of pregnancy and they’ll see the dates on the baby’s birth certificate to know he was born after you travelled, plus you can include LOE. So no rules were broken. Saying you’ll travel with a newborn and leave the mom is a bad step, it’ll raise all kinds of eyebrows plus you won’t cope.

A male married candidate with PR but yet to land, I chose my wife and child as non accompanied in my application.
I'm expecting another child in the coming month, I'm thinking of waiting for the new baby to be born, add the child and the first child as accompanied while my wife remains unaccompanied for me to sponsor her. Has anyone done this before or is this a bad step? Please help me.

So can I go ahead with my application this month then when I get married in November, add my spouse to the application(the way I’ve read women add their babies after they’ve submitted the application)? By removing him it means she is claiming to be single instead of married. If she removes him how do she add him later? Won't that be misrepresentation? Except of course she plans to sponsor him later when PPR is approved

I need advice please. I am in the pool as a primary applicant with CRS of 445. This is because my husband hasn’t done IELTS and his ECA is not out yet. When I removed him, my score was 475. Should I leave it as 475? If I do, will I be able to add my husband again after I get an ITA?

My intl passport will expire on the 4th of July 22, I have captured for a new one but there is no booklet.

Can I leave the intl passport on my EE profile the way it is, and include my NIN as my second means of Identification or do I completely take off the passport pending when I get the new one.

My status on OINp portal is on submitted, and I’m worried about going ineligible on my EE profile .

However,till now,they havent sent the result. They said when they are done with the assessment they would,but it's been 5 days. People who we got re med together and submitted theirs were baptised with PPR yday. I am just tired. I don't know what to do

We are trying to add our baby. We have gotten NIN and birth certificate. We applied for international passport through our plug that has been assisting us and he called to inform us that the earliest date he got for capturing is 24th of August. To run medical we will need international passport to book appointment. You can do medicals for baby with their birth certificate at Qlife


Our challenge now is that if we raise a webform for baby notification and they ask us to drop all documents for baby in 30 days, the international passport will be a challenge. If we decide to write a LOE, we don't have a document to back up our claims of capturing in August. But you have a payment receipt for the passport right? upload that and say you have paid however due to unavailability of booklets and backlog of people waiting, the nearest capture date you got is august. that as soon as passport is available you will update. Your VO will give you an extension if/where necessary.

Please what do you advice we do? Do we go ahead and just notify them with just the NIN and birth certificate with an LOE YES or Then when we capture baby, get a document which will indicate when the international passport will be ready upload this if at that point the date given is almost up and you need more time?

2. My husband's profile will expire on July 14th. Please what do we do? Profile doesn't expire once you've submitted an application so do nothing

1) Can a couple create seperate EE/Enhanced PNP profiles and act as PA (principal applicant) in each, while adding the spouse's details/documents?

2) Is this allowed OR illegal?
3) Will it boost their chances of ITA if they have a high CRS?
