I’m new here and just about getting started . I need clarification from the gurus in the house with my work experience . I have a total of 3 yrs work experience in all however my first work experience was for 9 months then I went back to school to get a PhD for another 4yrs , after my PhD I started work for another 2 yrs and 3 months ,all work experience is in the same NOC code . Can I claim 3 yrs work experience with this ? Does the long break for my PhD affect anything ?

A little Backstory: I did my Biometrics since last year but it was for my Study Visa. I was denied the visa However I did not have to do the biometrics again. So I do not have access to a yellow slip. What I have is a "White Slip, Passport biodata Page and the Consent Form I had Filled from Last Year". Do I Include the white Slip Instead?

That white slip attached to consent form and passport page is what you need. its either white or yellow slip. you pay transmission fee inside. they will let you know if you need to pay when you are ready to submit.

Getting your passport stamped via Lagos takes 2-4weeks. i sent mine on the 30th, it got to IRCC accra on the 6th...awaiting further details. If you are in a rush, you can use accra (2weeks) or Kenya (10days).
No need to schedule your appointment if you are going thru lagos. jut get there before 10am else they'll try to make u pay 17k unless you wantu come back the next day. I got the 5mins to 10, had to beg the security guy to allow me plus a little motivation because i didn't want to come the next day.
Requirements for lagos: *Your yellow biometric slip thingy
*Passport request mail
*Height and eye colour part of the mail too, filled obviously
*VFS consent form
*Your passport
*If applicable, a receipt of the transmission fee payment
*Passport photographs
*Photocopies or second copies of the docs above
*Name, address, phone number, email etc. all written on a sheet of paper

Requirement for Accra direct
Submitting passport(s) to accra vfs

Gather all documents required by IRCC and vfs accra:

1. International Passport(s)

2. 2 Passport Photographs (see further instructions below in addendum 1)

3. Passport Request Letter (aka ready for visa mail)

4. Duly filled Height and Eye Colour Chart. (A single form containing details for every member of the family)

5. IMM008 for those with a change in family composition (by a birth, death, marriage or divorce, etc)

6. 1 CVAC form. With only page 2 filled in by PA. Do not fill pages 3 & 4. Also advisable to fill in Caps. Ink color doesn't matter.

7. Payment teller(s) for the sum of GHC 565 to ( paid per person to vfs GH's account. (See further instruction on addendum 2 below)

Put all documents in an envelope and proceed to DHL or any courier of your choice and pay for a one-way delivery to:

Canadian Visa Application Centre(In Partnership with International Organisation for Migration),
Baptist Convention House,
Abelemkpe Road,
Abelemkpe,

Addendum 1.
-2 recent passport photos per person.
-Not older than 6 months
-In Canadian PR dimension (refer to photo chart)
-1 detailed copy with the name and DOB of the person at the back. Below that, write or stamp the Name
& address of photo studio with date photo was taken.
-A second copy for each person is left plain

Payment can be made through any family or friend resident in Ghana. There are also agents who can help with this if neccesary.


Other Things to note:

1. Get your tracking number and monitor on DHL tracker till its recieved by vfs gh
2. Wait for the vfs tracking details— they will give you update on when it will be sent to IRCC and when it will be returned to you
3. Wait for the return of your passport— vfs also uses DHL to return— you don't pay for it, it's included in the GHC 565

Thank you for your response rume. I had done biometrics when I wanted to do Study route. However, my Study application was declined. I am not sure I still have access to a yellow Biometrics Slip.Hence, what do you advise as regards not having the Yellow Slip. Also do I just book an appointment to go Drop the listed Documents or I can just do a walk in to drop them. I will really appreciate your response. Thank you

You can just walk in but between 8am and 10am...anytime after 10am, they will want to charge vip fee of N17k

Submitted yesterday morning as well. Got 3 emails same yesterday, one for receipt and two for each passport sent saying in transit. Shebi u got tracking barcodes? It reached VFS Ghana on 5th August
Got to VO Accra 8th of August
IRCC sent email of passport receipt on 12th August
Got visa info letter(counterfoil) on 24th August

Decision envelope arrived VFS lagos 29th August

The journey started 2019 with low CRS
Then followed SINP route
Nominated April 2021
ITA May 2021

I think if you go on the other thread and look for landing gists you will find those that have used ethiopia in the past...from my own whatsapp group, i got okay reviews/info and las las the end point is to land abeg.

Wrote my 1st Ielts in May 2018, got 7 in listening, 6.5 in writing. not sufficient to create a profile.
ECA WES - August 2018
2nd IELTS - March 24th 2019 ( LSRW - 8.5, 7.5,7.5, 6.5) writing later upgraded to 7.5
Jumped in the pool with 446 and waited
NOI Alberta - July 30th 2019
Sent my documents via post to Canada. After plenty of back and forth, my application was rejected because my work experience was not up to 1yr (long story but my fault)
I waited for a new NOI but it never came because COVID and Alberta was focused on inland applications.
That profile expired and I created a new one. Eventually around August of 2020 I clocked 3yrs work experience, CRS rose to 471 and ITA dropped on 30th September 2020.
Along the line my passport expired and I renewed it online by myself for 26k with no extra fees. came out in record time too.

Started a new Job in between and I gave myself 6months...I'm sure IRCC was laughing at me.

Numerous mails/Webform in between to VO and MP's with no response. A
Randomly logged in to my profile today 31st May 2022 to see Ghost update. Medicals passed on 28th May 2022.
Also got a response from an MP on 30th May that medicals and eligibility passed, criminality in progress and Security not started. So far the only thing that changed since the last GCMS is medicals.
Reordered GCMS notes on 11th July- still waiting. MP enquiry from one end, apparently i forgot to include my middle name so no response from there until another 20days.

9th August: woke up in the middle of the night at 1am to see my bro Venom's whatsapp saying ppr landed at 9pm-ish the previous day. I was happy for him but sad that everyone I met on this journey has either gotten PPR or landed. Got to the office and sent another email asking them if I had 2 heads. I sent the same again at 2pm and gbam 3.40pm, I got an email update. Checked portal and they were asking for Schedule A for me. 

22nd August, i logged in to see another ghost update, nothing changed on my application. The end is definitely near...i feel it
23rd i got my MP response back that timeline for the application is 26months so i should relax and come back if no response by then. Also criminality passed and Security in Progress.

Sent another round of emails again, inshort i was about to send one when I saw ppr. Today 29th of August at exactly 9.44am, i got a notification to login to my account, i thought it was another ADR but it was PPR.

Thank you my people for the good wishes, emotional support, encouragement etc. Una do well. Y'all are the real MVP.

My IELTS result is finally out and I had LRWS at 8.5, 8.5, 8.5 and 7.5.

My husband scored LRWS at 8.5, 7.5, 7.5 and 7.5.
This was our first try and we didn’t dedicate enough time to studying but glad it worked out.

It’s looking like I’ll be the primary applicant since I’d also have more scores on education because of ACCA versus his ICAN.

So I met this agent sometimes ago and he tried to do a Qatar visa for me with zero deposit which didn’t work out, so as I asked him to return my documents (passport and Covid card) he started telling me about an offer that just came out from Canada that it’s sponsored by na NGO.
He said the total package is 4m but if I don’t have the money now that there’s another option which is to pay for biometrics and visa processing fee which is 180k that the NGO will spons all the remaining fee and and eve get me plane ticket to go yo Canada that once I get to Canada I’ll start working and spread the balance for 18 months.

Now my question is this true coz to me its too good to be true

And does anyone here have an idea about this package before
