I learnt from scratch. I started from IEF Yaba in Sept 2020, stopped in November and continued with different private teachers and wrote in Dec 2021.

Not really. You can go for 491 family sponsored only if your sibling lives in a regional area but you need a positive assessment and English score. That gives you additional 15 points.

I started my classes with a French learning center last week. It's scheduled for 6 days per week.

And it's been fun so far!

I'm planning on writing TEF the last week of June, so I'm trying to improve as fast as possible. Here are some things that I find helpful;

1. Reading.

2. Listening to French podcasts on Spotify.

3. Watching Netflix movies with French audio and English subtitle or vice-versa.

4. Listening to the test practice recordings

5. Learning with the Duolingo app.

6. Switching my phone's language to French.

I hope I'll be prepared by then and everything turns out well.

I was wondering if anybody would be interested in exchanging contacts?

We could keep in touch and speak the language with each other to help us improve faster. Or maybe a Whatsapp group or something.

I'm also a total beginner too. But am practicing seriously at home with duolingo, memrise and rocket french. But I loveeeee rocket french most, and with the rate I'm learning, by the end of this lockdown I should be prepared to take the A1 exams.
I'm looking at 6 months preparation, will attend the physical class when the lockdown is over. Wish you all the best.

Please I just created another profile because my existing profile will soon expire but my score reduced by 50. I had to go to CRS portal and entered same details, my 50points was intact there. However, I had to compare the scores on my profile and CRS to know why the difference, only for me to see certificate of qualification as the criteria carrying the 50 points and my field does not need certificate of qualification.

Please is this new or am I making a mistake somewhere?

mama... induction is not bad,I was induced for my last baby and everything was smooth and baby came in a few hours..you can try some natural remedies like getting busy in the other room,walking and simple exercise.. meanwhile like your doctor have said do not exceed 41 weeks..cos the placenta begins to shrink at some point..in all monitor the baby's movement and report to the hospital if you notice any thing...safe delivery to you..

No two bodies are the same. If you compare yourself to others you might end up being disappointed or depressed.

You might end up falling into labour before 41 weeks, if not, please follow the doctors' advice. Be prayerful. No birthing method is easy, whether natural labour, induction or cs. It takes the grace of God and how much we follow the doctor's advice. The main thing is seeing and carrying our healthy beautiful little pumpkins.

P.s: Please, don't just sit at home. Do some less stressful chores, take some walks and eat healthy.
