If you're honest with yourself imagine Jesus in the contemporary Nigerian church. Would he fit? The Jesus you read about in the bible. When evil and immorality has held in the nation in firm grip.

Modern priests in Nigeria remind instead of the Pharisee s and Saducces. Christ was seen as one who revolted against the system. The way you might think I and other who share my view are.

Know this, in summary there is a way that "seem right" to men but the end thereof is destruction.

As a Christian that I am, there are 5 men of God I respect in Nigeria...Bishop David Oyedepo, Papa Adeboye, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Pastor David Ibeyeomie and Late Archbishop Benson Idahosa....now these all these men I listen to their messages very well and I can tell u for a fact they don't focus on Prosperity....rather their messages are very balanced and portray the exact message of Jesus.

There messages lay emphasis on Eternity and the kingdom of God. Its the most important, they emphasize on that. But what you don't understand is that these men are living the kind of life God expects the believer to live. A life of superabundance, a life of happiness, a life where their voices are heard. And because they understand the word of God very well, practice it and its working for them, they also tell their congregation the same thing.

There is no message this men preach that takes one's focus from God. They are telling you that God is the ultimate and if you serve God right, obey his word and put the principles in his word to work, the result is a life of greatness.

1) God promised the believer blessings, prosperity and much more...it is not meant to be enjoyed in heaven but on earth. The bible didn't say you will enjoy the things in heaven. Immediately you become a genuine child of God, there is an inheritance for you, there are benefits u are meant to enjoy but most believers miss out on this, either due to ignorance or misinterpretation of the word of God...but these men of God are living it to the fullest...divine health, divine prosperity, divine provision...name them. That they are living the life God ordained for His children does not mean they are bad people.

And I don't get your point on Modesty...give me an example of something Bishop Oyedepo has done that is wrong...how is he not being modest?? That he has a private jet?? Or that he invested his own money to build an estate?? Or what?? The world has made it look like the Christian is not entitled to certain things and so Immediately you are seen with some things you are condemned. The child of God is entitled to all the best things of life...unless he decides not to go for it but he is entitled to it.

2) the world 2000+ years ago is not the same now.... then the highest means of transportation then was horses(chariots) and boats...and these were available to Jesus. Now the world is more sophisticated. How would u be able to tell what Jesus would have done if he was here now?? At what point did Jesus make u feel that its okay to suffer?? Or did He suggest to you to that given poverty and wealth chose poverty??

Jesus had a primary assignment. He came and accomplished it and left. Then he gave the believer the and assignment...he said, "go ye into the world, and teach all nations, ....." how many continents do we have? how many countries do we have?? How do you reach them?? Is Bishop Oyedepo and many other servants who are wealthy reaching the world??, just incase you don't know, the answer is YES....and they don't have to do it suffering. They are living in abundance as God intended for the Christian and they are also using the provision available to them to further the work of God to all nations(the world).

Jesus also said, "Greater things shall ye do....", what does that mean??

Lemme ask you...if someone comes in an old Volvo, and tells u Jesus loves you and He(Jesus) wants the best for you and another person comes to you in the latest Escalade and tells you the same thing....who are u more likely to believe?? The one who is telling you ur life is going to be better but no evidence of it or the one that is telling you it will be better with evidence?? I am not trying to say those who don't have can't preach but serving God does not equate to a life of poverty.

One thing is unquestionable, God wants us to live in abundance and reign like Kings and Queens but if you decide to not live like that, its ur choice....if also out of ignorance u are living in mediocrity, don't hate on those who know their right.

Again, I ask, can u tell me how Bishop Oyedepo is not moderate?? That he is living a godly life and also enjoying the good things of life he can afford has made him a bad person??

You are getting it wrong. Alot of people are. When I see people condemn most men of God becos they are living like kings, it amazes me.

1) The general assumption is if you are a Christian/man of God u are meant to live in poverty or penury....that is not it at all. As a child of God u are meant to leave in abundance(Super abundance)..

"According as his divine power hath given unto us ALL things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2 Peter 1:3 KJV

"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness SHALL REIGN IN LIFE by one, Jesus Christ"...

"For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
2 Corinthians 8:9 KJV

The first scripture in 2 peter 1:3 tells us that God has given the believer(christian) ALL(everything) he/she needs to live a successful life. The second one(Romans 5:17) says the believer(child of God) will REIGN in this life. The third one(2Cor 8:9) speaks for itself....Jesus left his wealth in heaven, came to earth and lived a seemingly poor life, so that the Christian can live RICH.

As a mata of fact a Christian who is poor or living in obscurity is being cheated and not living to his/her full potential. The bible(which is the manual of believer) does not instruct the believer to be poor. The believer is told over and over again tru several scriptures to live in abundance. God is owns everything(He is rich), why will He require his children to live in poverty?? Is like Jeff bezos children living in poverty/penury. Tru the deceit and ploy of the enemy many Christians have come to accept poverty as a norm or as synonymous with Christianity.

Its a wrong mentality.

2) another assumption is that most men of God who live in superabundance are doing so on the Tithes and offerings of members....now I am not saying it does not happen, it does but most of them don't. Bishop Oyedepo, Pastor Christ Oyakhelome, Pastor David Ibiyeomie and so many more don't need the church Offerings and Tithes...do you know how much their rich members give them as gifts?? They themselves are givers, Like the way we have the LAW OF GRAVITY, there is A LAW OF GIVING, its a Law in the Bible, Give and it shall be Given unto in many folds. These men practice/obey that law and when it works for them people jump to accuse them.

3) another assumption is they live large and they do nothing for their members or don't help their members. That's not true, most of this men of God have a very good number of people they train, help, assist. The fact that the media only picks on their rightful life of abundance, does not mean they and their family eat alone....and another thing is, they help and are not interested in broadcasting it.

4) most of these men of God are using their own money to make investments on different fronts. I don't see how that is a bad thing.

4) I am 100% certain that alot of people don't agree with my points but even if u don't, you are not God....God is the one who will judge them. Insulting them and spreading hate is only doing more harm to you, than good. Even if you don't agree with them, move on with ur life, make ur own money and help ur family members, ur neighbors, those in ur environment, give to charity or live however u want but insulting them doesn't help you in anyway.
