This unfortunately is the situation in a society where public office which is meant to be a call to service has turned to an invitation to the 'loot buffet'. Almost every Nigerian has now devised a faculty of mind that was rather dimmed ingenious and synonymous with the '419'. Even our so-called SUG which was an epitome of vibrancy and the voice of justice has been compromised with this decadent epidemic.
It is even more intriguing to note that should there be a bright alley of hope between the ASUU and FG to improve the infrastructures, 'state of the ACT' facilities would be the reward of this destiny-ruining spell the students have so far been sentenced to.

The symbolism of justice and the rule of law probably is the most synonymous attribute with the USA and even more so the affluent city of Newyork. As it turns out, on Sunday a wild movie-like pursuit ensued when a family man named Alexian Lien was driving down the freeway with his wife and their 2 year old child accosted by a flock of excited and wild bikers. Just like you'll find a collision in your typical rush hour Nigerian city with a car and 'okada riders' who tend to snuff the road off of drivers, the unfortunate happened and for the fear of a mob, Alexian panicked and ran over a couple of bikers in a bid to escape. But his fate ran out after a pretty heated chase when he got stuck in traffic. A barrage of cyclists steamed down on his SUV and pelted helmets to break down the windows and typical to the unpopular 'Nigerian jungle justice system' assaulted him and slashed him with a knife.
However, the case is now being investigated by the NYPD and sadly some casualties may have just traded their bikes for wheelchairs.

At about 6:10am this morning, the RRS (rapid response squad) here in Lagos state alleged to be in pursuit of a gang of robbers and as in a show of lethal prowess, they started firing sporadically into the air and strangely into the crowd of innocent people rushing up to their various places of work. People ran helter skelter for their lives even as a colleague says she hid under a traders table. She reports that they were quite a few of them under the table and everywhere seeking refuge for their dear lives. Unfortunately, lots of people got hit by the bullets and even the man crouching next to her got a bullet on the leg. How fortunate she got because her wedding is just this weekend. Very saddening story and inspiring testimony too.

Just got off the phone with a Uniben student and she says she's in class 9.00am dis morning. Really sceptical about all these rumours!

Well said. The whole of lekki and victoria island which normally seems to be the cynosure are all messed up. Roads one assume are flawless are all gutted up in flood. If he really fancies the good brand he has so far created for himself then we need to see things improve asap.

honestly, an holistic view of that man gives you a rather troubling impression of someone who is longing for consolation from wherever.
