SmartPolician: Arrest get level, abeg Don't think they will put him in cell. They just took him away from the scene for questioning. He will go home after the explanation. Las Las, na for Abuja dey go settle the case. Rochas shouldn't let that fool take over that property. The senseless governor is doing more harm than good.
You would want governor to use government money to establish private enterprises, end of his tenure, he owns the enterprises.
If all governors in the world do that, you would not find space to type your shiit above.
festacman: What I don't understand is why a public servant would OPENLY (I.e not using a front) build a hotel complex and a university with Imo State money and wants to convert them to his own personal real assets.
If there are clear pieces of evidence tha Rochas Okorocha used public money to build these two heavily-funded complexes and perhaps more, why is he still fighting shamelessly?
Is Hope Uzodimma just witchhunting Rochas as part of political rivalry? Did any court of competent jurisdiction order the seizure of this properties?
Please anybody who knows the true situation should help me.
Sly. IMSG does not need to go to court to recover assets built by a governor while on seat.
The law disallows an elected governor from using his office to acquire land and build private businesses.
I mistakenly gave you thumb up but later realized that you are a devil’s advocate.
But where is Hon Uche Onyeagocha of Owerri who declared Sen Okorocha persona non grata in Owerri?
Okorocha is now taking too much, once again in Imo state.
Did Okorocha not know that he was breaking the law when he was using his office as governor of Imo state to acquire land and establish university, hotels and estates? Did he not know that the state government after his tenure must recover all those properties?
seniormallam: If Nwosu should pressed for the enforcement of the judgment that declared him candidate of APC , Uzodinma is a goner, This is not a review of judgment........just enforce your previous judgment, by enforcement Hope Uzodinma didnt even participate in the election, Uzodinma is not a candidate of any party......Nwosu stands disqualified representing two parties, Okorocha wants to do this to teach Uzodinma some lessons, Nwosu has refused to pursue the case before because the beneficiary will be PDP, but I guess he doesn't care right now.
In your own perception, Uche Nwosu and Rochas Okorocha see Emeka Ihedioha as better option for governor in order for them to go away with government properties they acquired while in office.
The Supreme Court has ears. Why did Nwosu not go to court earlier until now that Okorocha is under police custody?
Hope Uzodinma is addressing the infrastructures of Imo state that you and your oga Rochas degraded. The state university teaching hospital in your constituency was destroyed by you and Rochas in power because of vendetta. You made hundreds of students and their parents stranded at the teaching hospital. Their prayers are your undoing.
Governor Hope is seriously bringing normalcy to the teaching hospital.
Imo state can’t become the private property for you and your oga Rochas.
NEWSREPORT: Governor Hope Uzodimma is set to demolish estates built and own by former governor Okorocha. The said estate was said to have been built on water channels in Owerri Imo state. Imo state government panel in their wisdom recommended total demolition of the estate to save the water channels and environment.
Well, just like many projects of Okorocha, environment impact assessment was never considered. He jumps into any project without first thinking about EIA. That may equally be the reason most of the projects he built are either substandard or unusable, a good example is Owerri tunnel which was recently demolished by Gov Uzodimma and the flyover bridge which has remained unused till date due to poor quality project delivery.
Two politicians - Okorocha and Uzodinma - from Orlu senatorial district, but united in one thing: their desire to see that Orlu urban local government area does not see modern development. Both have imaginary enemies in Orlu LGA.
Because of this, they build and destroy in Imo state since 2013.
Their build and destroy activities made a governor of one SW region describe Imo as a state of build and destroy.
But the most important thing has been done: Okorocha or his so-called Foundation detached from the university, and the university fully owned by IMSG. May be, in future, a neutral name may he found for the university. Like from Evans Enwerem university back to Imo state university.
sanctity454: IMSUTH recieves attention from IMSG, which includes infrastructure upgrade and equipment installation
Great. Imo state needs to recover its university teaching hospital which was a beehive of activities before Ohakim government.
For now, weed off clannish and political doctors & health workers who organized strikes on nearly every quarter of a year to cripple the hospital; because they believe that every government institution must be in the state capital . Such health workers lured former governors Ohakim and Okorocha to look away from the teaching hospital.
Other state institutions of Imo state functioned, why wouldn’t a university teaching hospital which is supposed to be a money machine for government function, even if the hospital is located inside a cave?
Martini101: White Elephant Projects. The main one in Enugu has less than 50% occupancy.
But it’s a symbolic project to depict that all government landmarks must not be in the state capital. Gov Ugwuanyi from Nsukka senatorial district is well informed. In Imo state, governors from Orlu senatorial district would rather build a Second State Secretariat in Owerri state capital.
GambaOsaka: hmm.... People dey find trouble o. If government send Operation Python dance go raid the place to dust, den go day shout human rights violation. Make we day wait and see.
That armed forces of Nigeria is designed in your mindset to protect only your PARASITIC interest in one INDIVISIBLE NIGERIA.
GambaOsaka: LOL So you think the best way to fight for Independence is to wage war against a nation? The government is setting a trap for that region , and unfortunately, they are falling for it. It wouldn't take the government a week to level the whole orlu to the ground. I only pity the old people and the women.
What nation? You are glued to the most dysfunctional country in the world because of crude oil and gas deposits in the Niger Delta. You think you are smart and talk about nationhood. Can Nigeria become a nation, assuming that you understand the meaning of nation - a country whose groups aspire for the same cause?
tishbite41: focus on ur zone. The SE govs are irrelevant. They are simply helpless. The Orlu clash is a pointer of things to come. The Igbo elite won't be spared. IPOB!
No sane person brags with visiting Genocide on other tribes in a country.
PMB can’t go so insane as to order soldiers to invade the east.
Illegal Herdsmen in the east are not being killed by ESN. ESN is only after protecting the farmers from rapist and killer herdsmen.
Lightorder: nonsense! You are so jobless that you know nothing. Go up and check the names and number of those rounded up by Efcc. Crime is domicile in no tribe in particular. This your tribal remarks is going stale.
Ha ha ha.
Once an Igbo is caught on any crime, Yoruba controlled media in Nigeria carry the arrest story, NL publishes immediately.
But it’s hard if not impossible for Yoruba controlled media to publish news of Yoruba persons arrested in crime.
B2mario: Brother I don't want to take anything into consideration. Our leaders should stand up and protect our lives and properties both at home and outside. Goodluck Jonathan and Amb. Wali made Gov. Aminu Tambuwa what he is today but he left Goodluck Jonathan and protected his northern people's aganda. Our leaders and some of our self acclaimed wise people are the most foolish people I've never seen.
Small thing our governors will invite military to kill their people to show their Hausa/fulani friends that they are detribalised while their counterparts in the north don't do the same rather they use the strength of their youths to subjugate the whole nation. Fulanis have been killing, destroying and issuing threat and no arrest has been made or caution from any of their leaders. On Fridays go close to their mosques and hear how hateful and destructive their preaching can be, yet no invitation or arrest from police but only little criticism from Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah they threatened him to leave Sokoto, remember they killed his adopted son, an Igbo seminarian from Enugu state. Non of our Igbo leaders made any comment rather condemnation was coming from foreign countries.
Christians' (Igbos') goods (beers) and properties worth of tens of millions of naira are being destroyed not even a governor from southeast has asked question or directed the Kano state government the best way to go about it but let it be done to a fulani the next morning their leaders will visit or issue a threat to the governor of the state where the goods were being destroyed. They've killed our people on countless occasions in Kano, Minna, kaduna and Bornu state non of our governors or Ohaneze leadership did anything. Nowadays they have resorted into kidnapping our buses coming from the east or going to the east non of the governors in the various northern states have come out openly to condemn the act or partake in paying of ransom for the release of the Igbo captives or even invite military as our governors are doing to search for the captives and the kidnappers. The best the northern governors can do is to deny that such thing ever happened even when the evidence is everywhere and our useless governors and leaders will believe them and blame us in the north for lying that such incidence happened.
Do you know how many of our people who were killed because they could not pay ransom? That's why every southeastern state associations have constituted welfare committees for bailing of their people kidnapped by fulani bandits. Infact, most of us here are tired of contributing money but you can't let your people die in the hands of the kidnappers, it may be you tomorrow. And our governors have never for once come in to help us or suggest the way forward to the host governor.
My heart always bleeds whenever I remember how good, resilient, intelligent and hard-working Igbos are treated in this country even from their own. They can't give us job and when we struggle, pass through hells and make it, they will still not allow us rest. Do you know how many prominent Igbos that were killed in Sokoto alone just between October and December? Oga nze was killed because when they kidnapped his wife and children they demanded 2million which the old man provided, his offence was that he removed N5,000 from it to compliment his transport fee. They beat him until he died, they gave the wife and children his corpse.
The reason why ESN was established has it been addressed? You did not go for the criminals rather the people protecting themselves against the criminals. No fulani governor has come out to condemn fulani activities rather they support them and issue threat to anyone trying to stop them. A governor in the north said it one certain time that whoever has killed fulani before whether a security man will definitely pay back with a blood. Another fulani leader justified their kidnapping and banditary activities by saying that they are doing it because government fails to provide jobs. Then the question is, if all the youths from other tribes join kidnapping how will Nigeria thrives?
Why today their governors are condemning banditary activities in the northwest is because it is affecting their people the most. Had it been it is affecting only other tribes they will equally deny that there is nothing like banditary and protect their fulani youths who are perpetrating such negative acts. Go to southern kaduna, Benue and plateau and see how fulanis killed, sacked and occupied other people's land and nothing has been done.
Northern leaders see their youths and masses as their strength while our leaders believe that killing their own people to please their northwestern friends will give them the needed strength not knowing that no Hausa-fulani person will take them as friends because their religion condemns that. They are always seen and known as infidels (kafiri/kayeri). They will only give them presidency when they see that the country is very hot and the youths from other areas are very angry and are ready for war. Yoruba leaders understood this game while our Igbos leaders are idiots and unintelligent.
Fulanis are not invincible as people think, fulanis are the most fearful and cowards in the whole of Nigeria. People that only attack at the night when their opponents are sleeping and in the day call their brothers in military to protect them, what does that thing show you? No fulani will have the liver to confront you face to face. When they shake you and you shake them back they will leave you forever. They can't fight on their own without seeking or hiring fighters from other African tribes. They are very wicked and can't let go but at the same time, cowards. It's Nigerians and leaders that are giving them the space for all these nonsense.
Tell our leaders in the east if they can not fight and defend us we will start fighting for ourselves even here in the north. Whatever plans ESN has for us should equally be extended to the north secretly to defend our people here. I will always pray for them to succeed
I have always supported and wished for true one Nigeria, I have supported Hausa-fulani and Apc government, I have loved fulanis when I did not know them but now I have lived, worked and interacted with them and know that there's no future for this country, injustice and imbalance everywhere. The one Nigeria slogan is a lip service. I have acquired so many certificates and with my rational mind and instinct I will say it without fear or favour that Nigeria does not have future and should be disingrated.
Those of us here who are supporting what's happening in southeast because they want to be seen as the wise men should go back to school or better still help me to tell their parents to go to their schools (from primary to tertiary schools) and demand for the refund of the money they spent because they are educated illiterates.
The learned whites say: the only thing that is needed for evil to thrive is for the wise and good ones to remain silent.
This is really “akwa uwa,” but the politicians are not perturbed - if you like, cry from Sunday till Monday.
Self interest is reason for entering politics by most Igbo politicians. They aspire for the higher political offices through building phantom development projects where they can easily be seen in the state capital. The most badly needed development projects are compromised because they are more expensive to procure.
Imo state has seen hell all the time. It has been the worst hit. No insult.
Maduawuchukwu: ESN went to kill 2 soldiers unprovoked and you think they will lie low? When I was condemning ESN some people who are more Igbo and more courageous than us were insulting us and calling us Efulefu. Let them go and show their strength now on Orlu.
ESN? What evidence do you have to say they were ESN? Hearsay?
Nigeria army has not even said they’re fighting against ESN in Orlu. No government has said that.
Except in the two videos circulated about two months ago, about ESN launched in the bush, and about 5 persons carrying heavy rifles wandering in the bushes shortly after, have you seen any ESN man or woman since then?
NK should restrict his madness to Imo, Abia, Enugu and Ebonyi as he is doing currently...
Any further move outside this enclave will be met with stiff resistance.
Make una Continue to dey see the ESN and their operations over there.
If you had understood the importance of propaganda, you would not have written the above. Have you seen any one tell you he is ESN member? Me, I have not. Who pays their monthly salary? Anyway, this is not a place for explanation.

From a glance on the bolded, you post nonsense.
For example: Osina, Obinze, Nkume, Nwangele and Umundugba are not in Orlu local government area.
Nightalan: I really don't care if ESN and the Nigerian Army turn Orlu or the South East into a war zone, my own is that the SW should better look for a way to stop them from migrating in droves to the West, a lot of these chest beating cowards egging them on are comfortable in the SW and will not hesitate to bring their kin here if all hell breaks loose. We are still looking for a way to send the ones here already back to their unproductive region. We don't need more.
If you need to send Igbos in the SW back to Igbo land, your easiest method is declare Oduduwa Republic.
But you will not declare Oduduwa Republic because you believe that cheap cash from crude oil in the Niger Delta is all there is for a country to survive.
But one thing: it’s not appropriate for a region of a country to set up sub-military outfit to protect its people and region against invaders from other regions in the same country of quasi unitary governance system like Nigeria. Such a country is as good as a divided country. But cheap cash from crude oil and gas deposits in the Niger Delta is what keeps Nigeria’s politicians from all regions united to continue to keep one Nigeria. IPOB people know these, but their ESN should not be so publicized as an affront enemy of Nigeria’s Armed Forces.
OruExpress: The Nigerian military is behaving beyond their normal capacity as far as civility and decorum because anyone time they misbehave people call ESN and it turns to hell for them. As someone said above the military flees after 6-7pm and puts on civilian clothes to avoid trouble.
There's a lot of reason to not regard people yammering online about Orlu this and Orlu that because they learned about Orlu this week lol.
Queer.
If you have a choice, Orlu should be bulldozed flat. Your posts over the years on matters of Orlu are there for any one to see.
Take any battle you insinuate between ESN and Nigeria army to your hometown; not anywhere in or near Orlu.
Ever8090: the vigilante group that is running or the one that is staying to complete what they started..
Abeg, no vex, if vigilante group kill policeman in your country, as in this Orlu matter, does government of your country roll out military tanks and foot soldiers into an urban center nearest to the bushes where the policeman was killed? And later roll in fighting jets for the same reason?
Moferere: My message to our Eastern Brothers, avoid a clash with the military at all cost.
Oh yes.
Anyone, be he of ESN Or government agent, instigating military operations in a town full of innocent civilians - that person is EVIL. He must be punished while alive.
HigherEd: HOW DID NIGERIA COMPARE ON THE AFRICAN CONTINENT
South Africa dominates the top ten with eight of her universities, led by the venerable University of Capetown.
Egypt has two universities in the top ten. University of Ibadan comes in at 16, Covenant at 21 and OAU at 29
Wow. Eastern Palm University Ogboko is no where found here.
Abagworo, a beg, make una tell Rochas Okorocha and Hope Uzodinma to not use their political matters to wreck Eastern Palm university. Better make Eastern Palm university to become Imo state university of Science and Technology now.
bash8936: Useless Afenifere... Always quick to criticize tinubu on any small issue. Is it by force he says anything? The Governors have spoken is that not enough.
You know that the governors’ voices are far below Tinubu’s voice regarding this matter. Tinubu invited Buhari to contest the 2015 presidential election, therefore, Tinubu’s voice before PMB on this killer herdsmen matter must be louder than the voices of all the governors put together.
