But the constitution stipulated a different Supervisor - boss - for the office of Nigeria's President which is the president himself, and stipulated a different Supervisor - boss - for office of Petroleum Minister, the Minister. And each of the two offices attracts salary. So it's unconstitutional for one Nigerian to Supervise the offices of the President and the Petroleum Ministry all at the same time. More so, with high unemployment rate among Nigeria's youths, what moral justification can President Buhari present to occupy two jobs at the same time? Worse, both jobs are most tedious even for the younger persons, both jobs are most influential on the welfare of Nigerians, therefore, each of the two offices should have required a more youthful Nigerian, talk less a seventy two years old Nigerian. Nigeria's Senate must not be asleep to permit President Buhari to hide under the term - Supervisor - to become head of the Petroleum Ministry. |
Abagworo:This one still dey in the election campaign period - PDP/APC divide. Others are talking about the soul of Nigeria and the survival of the people in it in the face of too many challenges. |
zik4ever:Fight in many fronts is not an option. Political reforms to fiscal federalism is the answer. If Arewa doesn't want fiscal federalism - as expected - Nigeria must split to more manageable countries. .Arewa cannot fight in many fronts to get back one Nigeria. Then Arewa shall comfortably go for the sharia country which Arewa craved when its 12 states adopted sharia criminal laws. Boko says it's fighting for a country governed with sharia criminal laws. Man don tire for this kain Nigeria of million problems. |
naza9ja:Nigeria's unending horrors. |
Let them not do another Chibok kidnap. We want a stable government now. We don't want another #Bring BackOurGirls group and foreign countries' uproar to bring down the government of PMB. |
Disneylady:But PMB has since settled Tinubu by appointing a Tinubu "boy" called Babatunde Fowler as the boss of Federal Inland Revenue Service - FIRS. FIRS generated close to N4.8 Trillion for the federal government last financial year. FIRS IS NEXT TO NNPC IN MONEY GENERATION IN TODAY'S NIGERIA. It is only the uninformed public who are being deceived with this story of Tinubu not being happy with common appointment of ministers - ministers who Buhari had since dubbed noise makers. Buhari administration War Against Corruption is a farce. Only their gullible fanatics are deceived. |
byrron:Yes, Naija is on another planet. School Education don finish for Nigeria. |
Shumuel, I no go lie like Lai, your photos are hilarious. I laugh sotay I roll over my chair, like Rotimi Amaechi dancing skelewu with broom in his hand. I laugh sotay my colleague at work thought I don go crazy. He wanted to call ambulance for me. I begin show him your piksures, him laugh, laugh, laugh - even more than PMB laughed on May 29, 2015. |
GreenWhiteGreen:Wow, that man carrying baby for back de wash clothes while his oga madam de smoke - walahi, the man resembles Rotimi Amaechi. |
saintopus:For now, One Yoruba man has taken most of the shares Yoruba ought to get from Yoruba support for Buhari. FIRS EARNED NEARLY N5 TRILLION NAIRA FOR NIGERIA LAST YEAR. BUHARI HAD SINCE APPOINTED TINUBU BOY AS FIRS BOSS. |
Where's Lawyer Keyamo? Buhari appointment was not on merit. Buhari has finally said it: he trusts more those who had been with him in his party - all the years of his losing campaign to become president of Nigeria. Of course, they were majorly northerners who he now rewarded with appointments - but not based on Merit. |
ylaa:Plainly FOOLISH. That's the better attribute to you. |
whirlwind7:If you had taken the message and ignored the messenger, instead of continuing to fool yourself believing that because Nigeria is yielding dividends for you, then the huge majority of Nigerians being gradually dehumanized by the inadequacies of one Nigeria must go to hell at any time they feel the pinch of one Nigeria. |
Pity many of my Yoruba friends who still refused to understand that crude oil or no crude oil, Yoruba land MUST have developed more than what it is now if Oduduwa Republic was declared in 1967. Even at that, it is not yet late |
Okorocha is a near man-alone in his state. Very impulsive. He can't nominate a good minister. Even Okorocha's deputy indirectly criticized him recently for lumping about 75% of his development projects only in his state capital in four years. Observers say more than 95%. |
smartmoses:Probe Wetin - or Impeachment? A governor that uses 75% of state money to build one lga of his dream? What are the legislators representating the other Lgas waiting for? |
Midehi:Wailers, if during the last presidential election your southern leaders had said the presidency must remain in the south, there's nothing the north could have done to prevent that. But in the south, there is the self-assigned politically sophisticated group, the group is the reason why there is no unity of purpose among southern people. Islamic religion permeated the South West region, so SW can't unite with rest of the south. That's the reality about Nigeria. This way, the north dictates to the south, determines who must preside over Nigeria. |
onunwa21:Rochas Okorocha is busy building his kingdom in his state capital, Owerri. His deputy has just announced that 75% of Okorocha development projects are in the state capital. He said Okorocha is sparing only 25% of the state's revenues to development in the rest of the state. Therefore, Okorocha shall justify Buhari appointments the same manner Okorocha governs his Imo state where he made his winning Owerri zone take 75% development in his state. |
But one mistake Buhari is making is behaving like the Igbo does not exist. He is fuelling the drive for Biafra to enable once undecided Igbos to jump into the Biafra wagon. |
Justcash:Mumus of the south of Nigeria fight themselves to pieces, while Arewa de laugh them to scorn. Instead of coming together to ask for democratic restructuring of the rigged 36 states political structure skewed to favour Arewa, southerners lament over Buhari appointments. But with 19 states in the north that was once a region, but only 17 states in ever-quarreling south that was once two regions, it is obvious that Arewa must dominate every group in Nigeria. |
Lol have they faced Edo people now? Before they were on Igbo and drug peddling - as if Igbo is the highest drug peddlers in Nigeria. tell my friends from the SW: Prostitution is the oldest trade, all tribes of the world are in it; though prostitution is not good tell my friends from the SW: all tribes carry drugs - even Oyibo is worse - Oyibo de carry in Tons from S. America and enter Europe and Africa and America - though drug peddling is not good. So let Iyoruba-controlled media in Nigeria stop printing faces of alleged offenders on the media until such people are convicted. |
agarawu23:Lol, show us one thing that makes you - proudly Yoruba. |
kobe79:Lol me go become journalist? I no de lazy. |
Vivipop:No it is all about fear of Biafra and blackmail against Igbo to stop talk of Biafra. You need to analyse the mentality of those in the media that spread these news and the mentality of their comment people here- all boil down to cheap blackmail. |
kobe79:Sharrap with that your pidgin Igbo, It is taught in every journalism classroom: unless a suspect is declared wanted for a crime, until the suspect is convicted by a court of law, you a journalist do not splash the suspect's photo and real names on the pages of news media. Iyoroba media on a blackmail campaign against Igbo are abusing journalism rules. Take it to the bank: more Iyoroba suspects are caught daily on drugs dealing but you can't read the story anywhere. |
drnelson:O yes O. They should have made the heading 3 IGBOS arrested in Lagos for drug trafficking. I don't know what stopped them. We know the Nigerian who forfeited huge sums of drug money to American govt in order to be freed. That man is today an acclaimed leader of Iyoroba. Even Oyibo deals drugs - sometimes in tones, not in kilograms. Whoever is caught pays, not smearing his tribe or country as the Nigerian media does. |
Keneking:The new hobby of Iyoruba journalists who control Nigeria's media: any Igbo caught in any crime must be publicized even before found guilty. It's their new wave of blackmail against Igbo, against Biafra. Many lousy people who don't want to tear their shirts or sweat to earn a living take to journalism. So you can imagine Nigeria's jungle journalism - they now use media to pronounce suspects guilty before judgement. |
DrGroove:you are forever not real. You know the tribe in Nigeria that has the highest number of drug barons - they are not Igbos. Can't condescend to your dog level to tarnish an ethnic group because some people from the group committed crimes. |
kestolove95:If drug dealers in Nigeria caught are not Igbo, hardly any Nigerian media shall publish the news. It is part of the campaign of blackmail against Igbo and Biafra. Igbo is not acclaimed the highest drug dealers in Nigeria, you know all these. Wonder the type of family you live in; it shall be hell in that family. Only sweet mouth to insult, n him you get. Go school, you no gree go - |
freshvine:LMAORTF, Since Buhari became president, I have not heard of Ogbonnaya Onu and Chris Ngige again. Both used to be decorative page boys in front of APC photos during the campaign. Soon, Asiwaju Tinubu and Raji Fashola shall disappear from the scene. |
otokx:...then federal government shall use oil revenues to build a bridge across the Niger in Lokoja or build bridges in Eko? You should be ashamed of yourself. You guys with your Buhari mentality now drive this One Nigeria thing to the rocks. You think when it hits again, America and Britain and Russia shall come and fight for one Nigeria; for us to have a man from Daura controlling crude oil proceeds coming from far away Niger delta, but at the same time truncating common road and bridge works that could have made life comfortable in the Nigerdelta, because he must have believed that the works may serve the Igbo? |
