Career › Re: If You Fall Sick And Get Fired On Resumption by DisGuy: 9:19pm On Jun 29, 2007
bodsibobo:
@Dis Guy

When you start your own business, and your employee falls sick on the resumption date, send him flowers and go to the his/her sick bed to sympathise with him all day! The issue is not the truth or otherwise of the sickness, but your commitment, seriousness and attitude to your job. At least you go on the first day and can then ASK for sick-off.

To me that simply shows the kind of trend I will have to deal with even after he/she resumes, and it is called absenteeism. Not going to work at the slightest excuse. What if it is a position in the office where a lot depends on you?

What the f**k? How can you miss work on the first day of resumption? So after resumption, you will fall sick the more and still try to justify it that 'shebi its only once, or is it now twice?'
what the Bleep is wrong with you read properly! on resumption as in after coming back from the hospital! he didnt fall sick on the first day of work, he is working there already!

Because i was able to defend all the reasons baseless excuses the ECo gave with enough evidence. But there was a place where i wrote that i beleive that Nigerians are generally being refused visa even with all documentaion needed supplied.out of over 100 Nigerians that received their package on 2nd oct.2006, only 2 wwere given visa even if up to two, that really makes me feel so bad after they don collect 25k from each of us.
Please i need una Help, what is the next step or advise me on what to do,time is running out
did you actually put that there? undecided

however I do not find it credible that a genuine student will apply only 10 days before the start of his course.

Trust our big men. Helicopter shuttles have already commenced between ikeja and victoria island. But what of the poor folks that will be employed there?
the poor folks that work there will treat the companys customers like shyte like they are doing already in the banks, the MD and the gangs will be attending conferences at the biggest hotels and gaining more qualifications in other parts of the world while the 'poor folks' will be highly compensated to work 12hrs a day plus the 4hours in lagos traffic(even weekends). very soon they'll start crumbling
Politics › Re: First Telecommunications, Then Space Exploration And Now Banking by DisGuy: 2:28am On Jun 29, 2007
True, i think th eastern parts should have something important as well, but with the issue of security and transportation  wink

I think they'll start running some sort of helicopter shuttle flight from ikeja to lekki very soon, with a landing pad on one of the big hotels-im working on this  wink
Politics › Re: First Telecommunications, Then Space Exploration And Now Banking by DisGuy: 1:58am On Jun 29, 2007
The creation of the Lekki Financial Services Corridor, is therefore a key factor in the whole Financial system strategy. It is expected to make Nigeria, Africa’s financial hub by 2020. The Central Bank governor said the area will be specially quarantined and developed as an international financial centre where people doing business will not be able to differentiate from New York or London Financial Centres.
I really pity these people, they are developing some parts of the state and forgeting the other half as if people dont have to go through many ugly parts of lagos to get to the 'good' areas.
From ikeja airport to lekki is about 4hours! who wants to waste their life in the lagos traffic. lipsrsealed

Politics › Re: Yar'adua Declares His Assets by DisGuy: 1:38am On Jun 29, 2007
By the way, why did he declare the assets of his three wives? is he required to do that? how does it concern Nigerians if his three wives own buildings whose prices had a N1 million naira consecutive difference? totally unnecessary, because it won't make any difference.one might say he is doing all this to show truly that his government will be of a transparent nature, but then the 'good boy' and 'peace-loving' image being created is getting old. Still, all things considered kudos to him for what he did. let's hope others would emulate his worthy example.
if he didnt you will crucify him. he promised to declare his assets now he did.

People should stop eulogising politicians merely because they declared assets, the rapid change between his present figures and the one he declared in 1999 demands some explanation in a country where commensurate economic growth was not recorded between this time.
So may be those who accuse him of giving most State Government contracts to family owned bussinesses are not wrong afterall.
with the freedom of information bill which he promised will be looked at; you can ask him how he became richer. i dont know how much he declared previously but with the nigeria stock market oh boy  cheesy

oyb:
too many people running businesses in Nigeria do not have the character required to run a business. you may find that these hard times have in no way impacted on the management's lavish lifestyle(which is probably the cause of the problems in the first place!)

Bastards.
I agree with you on that one, everyone shouting 'go start a business' without telling them to LEARN HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS!

Lagosians have been brainwashed to blame the Fg and every other thing but their governors! they simply have no clue what Lagos can be if they have proper responsible leaders who don't shift the blame all the thing! hold the immediate councilors, governors responsible!

Labour won the election because we are scared of having the Conservative Party in government. Many people I know had to vote labour for fear of having the racist conservatives in through the back door. My family and I did the same. Ordinarily, we would have voted Lib Dem at the time.

Where exactly are you and do you read newspapers? I ask because this is common knowledge even within the ranks of the labour party hence the decision to hurry Tony Blair out of office as soon as he presented us the chance.
so labour won the election because people are scared of 'racist' conservative? what percentage of the population is ethnic minroity in the first place? If anything, the conservative got more votes because of their tougher stance on immigration laws which is viewed by the majority of the population as too soft.

10years as the PM, there is no hurrying in that mate, perfect time to say good bye,not like our siddon tight presidents

he should channel his frustration into getting another job or trying to start his own thing and take a walk when the company needs him the most.

he hasn't been paid in 4months!! guess by now he has no more savings, where is he going to get the money to pay the lawyer?
no be small thing oh
some lawyers operate on a no win no fee basis. so they pass their fee on to the offender if they win the case, they do this knowing the possibility of winning the case is about 90% . if tehy are not doing this in nigeria i think they should they'll make a lo of money by charging the offender, Win-win lawyer smiley

I dont think GB will follow the yanks well not as sheepishly as TB did, the first thing im sure he will do is move away from the bushman, i think G.Bush is anticipating this already he made unscheduled meeting with brown when he visited the usa and made a call to Brown this early morning. bush needs a the friends he can get the rest of eu turned their nose up at him long time ago
