Which decoder are you using and what percentage?
The experience started some weeks back,it was ok when i tracked it,but later changed automatically,almost all the decoder that i tracked was having similar challenge.
That's why i'll like to know the one you're using.

Am using MECOOL android decoder, it’s 4K decoder % is 45% on the decoder but 74% real on my finder. It’s also stable on my strong 4675 MPEG4 but not stable on qsat decoder so I believe decoder weak tunner contributed.

Note that you can’t exceed 45-50v mark of the charge controller. What is the wattage of your panels, open circuit voltage, maximum voltage.

I'm just reading the controller's spec sheet now.

It has 12/24v lead acid auto
3 string Lithium
4 string LiFePo4

The battery is Lithium so I think it only does the auto switching for Lead acid batteries and does not support 24v for Lithium .

I'd revert the connection to 12v and plan towards the MPPT.

I do charge my small LiFeO4 24volt with pwm charge controller just edit the cutoff voltage to 29.2volt or 29.4volt if lithium ion battery of 7s. Also it might be that your panels is not delivering up to 30v and above so it’s either over rated panels or poor installation.

No matter your percentage and no matter how you tweak your lnb it'll still have some blur image and little skipping.
Is it general?

I experienced that on my friend decoder but mine is not skipping! It’s stable on my decoder.

Didn't know about this thread. Was searching for some stuff and it came up. I just setup my own with a 200a battery and a 1.2k inverter. Though I am yet to get panel as I intend to be using nepa for the main time.
My load is TV, decoder, laptop and 28w for bulbs. No fan yet, hope to add DC fan and fridge soonest In Sha Allahu.
My question is that my TV does not power/boot completely with the inverter stuff but work well with NEPA. Is there any suggestion to solve it?

Earlier this year, my TV capacitor got burnt from power surge before I put stabilizer in the house. I haven't replace it as I intend to use company warranty stuff for the repair and the procedure/period of repair might be long.

Plug AC fan on the inverter without NEPA if you hear humming sound know that it square wave and your tv may be rejecting it. Someone TVs or electronic are sensitive to square wave.

My inverter load last night red 16% I.e 160 watts of a 1kva with just tv of 70watts, one 12watts bulb and one 5watts bulb. Inverter took 30watts running on the battery. 70+12+5+30= 117watts!!! Why then is the inverter reading 16% (160watts) where did the 43watts come from??�

Note that your appliances are rated in watts not VA, dividing by power factor to get approximate VA or convert the 1kva to wattage is around 750-850w depending on the inverter power factor.

12.8v.doesn’t that show that the battery is full for usage at night? Why then less than 4 hours with inverter red light blinking after 3hrs 55mins?

1. How many panels do you have?
2. Depending on your panel position by 5pm you may not be getting much current to charge them and if pwm charge controller.
3. Charge well without using it or with NEPA to see whether they will be difference
4. Check the battery individually whether one of the two is bad. That is why you would have used a single 12v/200AH to avoid balancing or wrong connections.

1. By 12v system, do you mean the 1.5kva inverter I'm using? However, for me, MPTT is an overkill, since I have just two panels and a 100amps battery.
Moreover, the installer already connected the panels directly to the battery. So the PWM charge controller is not connected.
2. I'm not adept at this. Do you suggest I call another installer?

3. I'm don't the size of cables either. In conclusion, are you saying my panels might be good, and the problem is coming from somewhere else? I'd be happy if this is the case

I was on a budget and needed a setup that could power just a few appliances; namely, bulbs (25 wtts total), two fans ( 100 watts), and 55wtts TV once in a while. I didn't necessarily need to have the inverter on all the time. Just about 12hrs of usage was okay for me.

The Solar expert got two 260 watts panel, a 1.5kva inverter, and a 100amps battery, a pwm charge controller, totalling around 220k.

I wasn't impressed with the battery performance, but, I just needed to be able to charge my laptop and phones.

Now the problem is Nepa light charges the battery full, but the panels can't charge it. A really sunny day would barely give you an hour of usage at night with just the bulbs on and phones plugged in.

I complained and noticed he was dodging my observations that the panels might be bad. He later came and connected the panels directly to the battery and not through the charge controller. This didn't improve or fix the solar charging ish.

I've been depending on Nepa to charge the battery ever since. You can't even on the inverter when the battery had run down and the sun eventually rises. It'll scream battery low in no time.

Now, I just need a panel that can charge a 100amps battery full in the mean time. I just need to be able to charge my phones, laptop, and maybe on one 50w fan.

Will a 160w panel suffice, if yes, which?

Lest I forget, the battery lasts around 3 hours with 150w+ load. Surely, I'm upgrading to a better battery soon. Just need a panel to charge the current one in the meantime and allow usage during the day.

The 260w panels are literally useless for now. It was a scorching sunlight today, yet I couldn't even charge my phones

Please what panel can I manage in the meantime?

My Observations are as follows:
1. Your 260w x 2 is not efficient using pwm on 12v system he would have used 150w panels so change your charge controller to mppt. I think one is advertised here at 52k.
2. Check your panels orientation,
3. What size of cable use for your system.
In conclusion since you already have 520w panels already it is better to buy another mppt charge controller than to change the panels.

Balancer?

What I know most already-made BMS (active or passive designs) has a balancing current between 50mA-1A. That is why you must choose your battery that has similar capacities and voltage level. The BMS takes longer time to balance your battery depending on the balancing current. But a passive BMS can be designed to balance at 5A.

there are other circuit like low battery disconnect and high temperatures disconnect. Also current and voltage regulators

. 200Ah will be about 230 if 3series configurations cells since the cell is ICR18650-26 (2.6Ah) but I configure 4s12p for my laptop power bank and 7s48p about 124Ah for my inverter. I use soldering iron because I use fuse wire. I didn’t snap when I was configuring but that is the 4s12p and the BMS originally meant for 3s but i later added one to make it 4s. By the grace of God my friend wants me to configure the same 7s48p for him when I do that I will send you the whole setup

Una dey try for those 18650s, too many parts = too many failure points, what if a bunch of cells fail?. How would you know the exact ones that failed?.

Do u use bms with them?

Me I use fuse for each cell with My DIY BMS to balance the cell. Any cell that fails the fuse will isolate it from others but will reduce the capacity of that cells

Am hearing saying flat orientation! just note that every panel perform optimal when the sun ray strike the panels at 90degree, so from our latitude only on equinox’s season that you will have more generation but less during winter and summer due to sun position

Any seller of DC submersible water pump, spec and cost is needed

Now, the bolded is quite laughable. Varta has a designed lifespan of 10-15years and I've seen a man that, as at last year, his Varta batteries are 8years and still going.

I have 2 clients that have used their Ritar and Quanta for 6years 3months and 7years respectively before changing. These are facts. And yes, they don't cycle below 50% and both are using Magnum inverter

Now, who have you seen that have used Felicity lithium beyond 3years, that gave you the confidence to make the statement?

Yes, there are folks that have used Lithium even beyond 5years and counting. But felicity lithium? I strongly doubt

So please, that your bolded statement seems to come from a sentimental perspective, and that makes it a fallacy.
My problem now is not Lithium VS LeadAcid. It's specifically your statement. LA battery has proven to last very well when cycled at or above 50% DoD. As far as am concerned, there's No PROVEN record of longevity as far as felicity lithium is concerned.

Tell me that you've seen good performance with it compared to LA battery in terms of charge and discharge current, voltage stability even under heavy loads, among other; and I'll fully agree...
But until you're able to have a prove that felicity lithium has lasted even upto 5years, your statement is false, unfounded, and very misleading.

As far as am concerned, Lithium technology is the best for now. I bought 2x480wh LiFeO4 used INEC battery in 2017, till today am still using them. I build a circuit that protect my battery from over discharge but New LA battery fail me after 2yrs 60% DOD but my LiFeO4 didn’t even when I discharged it 75% DOD. Beside it a proven fact that LA battery has less cycle (500-800) at 50%DOD compared to Lithium technology that has 2000 cycles at 80% DOD. Though All battery depends on maintenance and usage. Charging system is critical for both LA and Lithium technology. LA battery must not be partially charged 48hr and must not be changed above it rated current, Lithium battery decomposes at high voltage so don’t charge to maximum voltage and stored for long

Please how does one achieve low voltage disconnect (50% DOD) with an inverter that doesnt have it built-in? Is there any good external device for that? I saw something like that on AliExpress but the circuits are so small I wonder if they are practical.

From the spec. It can only handle 20A load. I do build a circuit to protect my client battery which I do set it according to the client specifications and it is very effective. As someone suggested that you can use Charge controller, it can only work if they is another circuit attached to the charger controller lights output which will help in switching. I have posted in this forum before how to do that.

Thanks alot bro for your response but I just discovered I have to buy the 8port. Am also thinking of buying our TV decoder hope it's h265 enabled and can carry an 8port diseqc switch.

You can combine diseqc switch using 22k switch but works more when combining KU-band and C-band lnb.
For ourtv decoder, it accept only 1.0 diseqc (4 port).

It is likely that your decoder is not having the biss key. or some times they dont allow broadcast because tv right issue that is why it will remain blank
