Since he has more than 7 wives, it means that some will not be 'collecting' the D for up to 2 weeks until the timetable rotate to their turn again grin

Just curious! wink

Anything lower than Nysc alawee is a No No...
Alawee is 19800. If its not up to that, a No No
You said it all! It's really Unfortunate that many employers take advantage of prospective employees because they know that no matter how small the salary is, there is always someone out there willing to take it
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Can You Accept A Job Offer For N18,000 In This Present Economy? by diva90: 8:26pm On Sep 10, 2016
Any body earning 18k as salary is not earning any money (N692 per day ..salary for 26 working days)... Cos by the time you take away transportation and lunch money, everything is gone! This does not even include tax deduction assuming your employer considers that. How possibly can the person pay other bills with so little? Even being a labourer or hawker or even an Akara seller will pay you more, atleast such people earn up to N1500 per day ... Let's say they hustle for 26 days or 27 days... They are taking home atleast N39,000
But as other people have advised, even though you may run at a loss, take the job and start from somewhere while looking for better opportunities to advance.

Haha, very lame throwing the poverty card. Using an iPhone doesn't equate to being rich silly. Only insecure & low lifes do that to feel cool. Now run along brat
Ok mr. Highlife ... Allow me to enjoy my 'low life' I ain't complaining!
Now run along too!

My question will only take a simply yes or no from you & not all these ranting.

Oh, I get it. You're definitely in the league of low self esteem folks who take solace in the ability to acquire a piece of gadget. FYI your usage of an iPhone doesn't necessarily mean you're better off than the guy with a monochrome phone.

Get a life miss
Whatever fool! Don't have time for jealous idiots like you! When ever you get to the stage in life where you can afford luxuries and commodities, I'm sure your poverty stricken perception of life will change!
How was this a yes or no question!? You asked a question and you got a comprehensive answer...I'm sure you are smarter than you portray yourself to be, so why act dumb and intimidated? Coming here to talk about self esteem when clearly you lack it!
Never ever have I in anyway said I was better than anyone, so if you feel that way, then I feel terribly sorry for you.

You stay in the U.S. no wonder! else your opposition to some of the listed items is baffling.

Lemme ask, in all honesty if your carrier didn't subsidize the iphone & hadn't given you the contact & option to pay in installments spanning 12 - 24 months will you get it?

Coz am sure many users even in the U.S. won't agree to spend $700 to $900 for just a single phone at a go.

Now you see why peeps here won't agree with you.
You can only speak for yourself! There are so many people who are willing to spend $700 or more on phones. After all, Was there not a time when people were buying blackberry Porsches for over $1500? Just because you can't afford it doesn't mean everyone is in the same thought train as yourself.
Secondly my phone is not subsidized. I use an unlocked phone that is not affiliated to any carrier and can be used all over the world.
You need to ask questions first before you conclude.

It's called 'choice' my dear. Same way people can only use Samsung. I hate android phones

Well thats merely a scrap value.. the phone shouldn't be seen as an investment if its not expected to generate some future economic benefits. If you will be using the phone for a business that requires it, then we can say its an investment.

Lol. I don't think any item can't be sold at the end of the day except if they are perishable goods.

IPhone 6/7 makes life easier, how? Can u explain to me dear? Am ready to listen.
Yes but the amount of money you make back is what defines the superiority and uniqueness of the item.
As for the iPhone making your life easier... It's common sense.
Phones aid communication and make your everyday life easier. You can bank through your phone, as we speak you are commenting on nairaland through your phone, the phone connects you to your loved ones and keeps you in touch with the world not only through social media but through other means. When there is problem, you run to your phone to search for solutions. You know what is going on in the world because people document and record things through their phone. Bottom line, you cannot live without a phone. The needs and purpose of owning a Phone is endless!

Well that's nigeria na! Sorry if that's where u sell ur used phones. In the US, it sells for much more. Even trading in your used phone at an Apple Store will give you up to $400 if you are lucky

you don't redefine investment o..

what if something happened to the phone or someone steal am? choi
Well look at it on a brighter note, nothing will happen to the phone and you will be able to sell it and get half of the money back when you are ready to.
As for me, I've never had a phone stolen or ever lost a phone in my life.

Anything that doesn't appreciate after you purchase it still remains a liability but it can only become an asset when you use it to make money.

Now tell me how IPHONE 7 can generate money for you?
It's still better than buying something that you cannot sell at the end of the day. The phone is not a liability per say because it makes your everyday life easier or can you live without a phone? I'm sure the answer is no!

see this one. in your little mind you are enlightened? its people like you that renders the word 'accountability' useless. I wished you'd sit down to ponder on the effects of this. Can you describe what change he wants? how long would we have been deemed change before we begin to see democracy in action? these politicians preaching change to us have they made changes in their mannerisms? no one is talking about the chibok girls again..They do not matter. True federalism that might fix us, buhari is considering it. You might be able to afford 3 square meals, but not everybody can. you're clueless. gerrarahia!

I want to believe this is for humour cheesy
Can 400k really buy someone a plot of land? If so, I am interested wink
As for the other options I would pick an iPhone 7 instead? Why? Because it's an investment. When you are done using the phone, u can still sell it and get back atleast half of what you bought the phone for. I bought my iPhone 6 for $500, I can still sell the phone today and get back atleast $300 - $350. But if I go Dubai for a weekend or stay in oriental hotel for 3 nights with that money, the money is gone forever!
It's all about being wise!

naijadeyhia:
All these kids on Nairaland who claim to be the future leaders yet they cannot understand that for any change to be sustainable or even relevant then it must begin with you and me same way we had war against indiscipline those days. Buhari does not work in all the ministries or local governments ...its people like you and i who do and until we make an effort to eradicate personal vices in us from where we live to where we do business to where we work then we would only be going round in circles and will never experience any form of change no matter what the government offers us.

If Parents of today still encourage their kids to engage in prostitution as to them all money na money (according to my edo or warri brethren) or those who encourage their kids to move drugs or engage in 419 (according to my owerri and other eastern brethren) or those whose children openly engage in oil bunkering and vandalism (my niger delta peeps) or engage in ritualism and cultism (my south westerners) how then can change be truly change?

This is a credible and praiseworthy move by PMB as we all must work together in order to achieve the Nigerian dream and paradise we seek. True change is never easy and never comfortable to those who have been used to moving in an opposite direction but its high time we began to preach INTEGRITY! LOYALTY! HONESTY! and not see actions like people returning lost but found money or reporting criminals or correcting a wrong doer as stupidity...which is what we have today....This is why abroad even your neighbour can call the cops on you if they suspect fowl play from you as we all need to be accountable to one another first and this echoes the very quote of JOHN F KENNEDY, "ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY!"

I STAND WITH PMB!!
I agree with you! Only the realistic and enlightened individuals on this thread will see the sense in the what you have written.
Other developed countries are where they are today because they are oblivious of the fact that it takes collective efforts of government and citizens to make a country work well
PoliticsRe: Change First Before Asking For The Change We Promised - Buhari Tells Nigerians by diva90: 4:57pm On Sep 08, 2016
He's right! Change is not just for the government to create, the citizens have to be willing to make it happen as well. Why is America the way it is today? The citizens are extremely patriotic towards every and anything concerning their nation.
The government will play its role but the citizens need to support the government. You will never hear of people bombing oil pipes or policemen killing someone because they didn't give them bribe or government officials encouraging extremely corrupt practice in other developed countries but in nigeria this is practically a norm. Even the average Nigerian young child has a corrupt mindset. How can we move forward with all this? We need to work hard towards making nigeria a better place and like our dear president said. The change is not just in government hands but in our hands too

Apple is really changing the game! I'm impressed with the air pods. So glad they also did away with the 16gb phones, memory was barely enough. Even happier that they are water resistant, my iPhone 6 fell into the toilet the other day and blacked out... Luckily I was able to revive it and it's working perfectly now...Looking forward to buying the 7 soon wink

Christianity EtcRe: "Husband Means Master" - Chris Oyakhilome by diva90: 3:39pm On Sep 08, 2016
I didn't even bother to read... This is probably the reason why his marriage failed! And any husband that thinks this way is a complete failure who has refused to appreciate the worth of a woman by his side. Your wife shouldn't be your slave, she should be a companion and helpmate.
