Blissquare: I am happily married now but I would like your candid opinion about an issue that raised eyebrows and is still raising eyebrows. I hav two sons from my previous marriage. Lasy year, my current husband moved into my flat with us. I was sure that he loved me so I didn't mind but people made comments saying that only an irresponsible man does that. He has built his own house but his wife left him. Is it practical for a 43 year old man to live alone? His previous girlfriend was telling people how he lived with her for 2 and half years before moving in with me. Would it not be irresponsible of me to be the one to move in with him since I have 2 sons already? I believe the dynamics is different for people with broken marriages and it is not so bad for the man to move in. It's an abomination, so u practically married him. What u shld ve done is to support him to rent a new place for both of u |

MadManTalking: Seun! This topic is misleading. Why can't we live in peace? Look at how the poor herdsman is sitting quietly and watching his cattle graze beside the school field. The pupils seem quite thrilled and happy to see the cattle graze. I can't see any cattle inside the classrooms. The teachers seemed to be going about their teaching business without an iota of disturbance.
I know that these Igbos hate Buhari and anything that he stands for but posting such a frivolous article with the aim to incite, heat up and cause disaffection between law-abiding citizens like herdsmen and their host communities leaves much to be desired.
A fulani herdsman has the right to pursue their legitimate means of livelihood just the same way these Igbos hawk in every space available in Lagos. They hawk from potatoe chips to ropes (selling ropes to people in traffic considering the condition of Nigeria; imagine someone contemplating suicide while driving home and a Igbo hawking ropes in traffic will knock on his car and tell him ''oga! buy rope''). you will never have sense in ur entire life if you see nothing wrong in this gosh |

The same old and outdated mentality - that you were brilliant at school does not mean you wont be poor or you wont die of poverty.
Infact most brilliant people are not entrepreneurial they all earn salaries n die poor like most professors. Go and read rich dad and poor dad by Robert kiyosaki.
To be wealth you need financial education.
most landlords in most cities didnt attend universities yet they are wealthy, money has its own rules entirely n has nothing to do with being a first class student or graduate.
forget ur brilliant past, live in ur present and chart a course for the future you desire |

wale101010: I have been a locker on Nairaland for years but I cannot be quiet anymore because I and millions of others might lose our jobs in Port Harcourt with the momentum seen with IPOB/Biafra restoration since Nnamdi Kanu release. I never believed for a while that IPOB could ever penetrate South South, particularly Rivers state. I work here as an oil worker and I'll be honest with you all: IPOB/Biafra has taken over Rivers state particularly Port Harcourt...everywhere you go its IPOB. Anyone telling you that IPOB/Biafra is a SE/Igbo affair is deceiving you. We here on gorund know what's happening here. It's not just Igbos, it's Ikwerre, Urhobo, Ishekiri, Annang, Ibibio, you name it!
As a concern citizen, I think Federal government should as a matter of emergency move to counteract Nnamdi Kanu before this gets out of hand because after May 30th, things will never be the same with Nigeria. You cannot stop this movement by force, anyone advising you to use force is deceiving you. The people following Nnamdi Kanu are not fools; this people, as with us know that Nigeria is a failure especially with the marginalization of SE, and some areas with SS. This is not the time to debate on if the fault is from the leaders of SE or SS, no, rather time for the Federal government to act immediately by implementing these measures below to pacify and make these young men abandon Kanu.
Federal government must do these:
1. Declare May 30th, Biafra Memorial Day and ask the Senate to pass it as a law that every May 30th will be a public holiday. On this May 30th, acting President Osinbanjo will lead the commemoration of all Biafran fallen heroes and heroines, by laying a wreath at the National Square Abuja in their memory. Celebrate it like we do with Nigeria Airforces Remembrance Day. Biafran Fallen Heroes and Heroines are human too like their Nigerian counterpart. 2. A committee should be set up by the Presidential Executive Council to go to SE and fact-find on all federal roads that need repair, expansion, and construction of new roads where needed. 3. All seaports and Riverport in SS and SE; Port Harcourt, Onne, Calabar, Warri and Onitsha should be reopened, funded and allowed to function to full capacity without interference. 4. All International Airports in SE and SS; Port Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu and Asaba should be funded and allowed to function to full international airport standard like Lagos and Abuja. 5. Earmark funds to support local manufacturers in Aba, Onitsha and Nnewi. 6. Most importantly, restructure the oil and gas industry, where states will be allowed to managed their oil and gas resource, and pay tax to the center. 7. Fix the lopsided appointments by Buhari, and ensure that SE, SW, SS, NC, NW, and NE are evenly represented. 8. Do away with quota system in our educational system, and let students who score high marks reap the benefits of their labor. 9. Disarm Fulani and restrict their movements to the North only. 10. All government offices and agencies must have at least one office in Enugu, Calabar or Port Harcourt. 11. All foreign consulate and visa processing centers must have at least one office in Enugu, Calabar or Port Harcourt. 12. Assure them of a new Nigeria in the horizon, and things will be better, and more restructuring will be made in the coming months as more consultations are done.
I ASSURE YOU, MAJORITY OF SE AND SS will abandon Nnamdi Kanu within 48 hrs. These people actually prefer Nigeria than Biafra, so will work with Federal government on a reasonable arrangement and fulfillment of the conditions above. YOU CAN NEVER EVER WIN THIS BATTLE WITH IPOB WITH FORCE...NEVER! YOU MUST USE SENSE; THEIR AGITATION IS BASED ON SERIOUS MARGINALIZATION. Truck load of goat poo Jst one thing FG shld create two more states from South East in d interest of equity n fairness with other geopolitical zones n kanu may be abandoned |

MrTour: It was on 12th of November, while i was on a business trip, a client of mine who was owing me the sum of N1.950 million contacted me saying he wants to pay. My younger brother who just finished his apprentice training needed N250K to rent a two bed flat for one year. So i asked the client to pay the entire N1.950 million into my younger brother's account. As soon as the client paid, i asked my younger brother and he confirmed payment in full, i was relieved as the client has been oweing me for nearly 12 months.
To cut the long story short, my trip took longer than expected as i spent additional 3 weeks away before returning home. Two days after i returned i asked my younger brother to give me the N1.7m balance, to my greatest surprise he said "Brother i don't have the money", i said but Samson paid everything. He said yes but he used the money to solve some problems.
I was furious, what kind of problem will swallow N1.7m, i told him clearly to provide the money within 24 hours or he will see the other side of me. When i returned home later in the day, i realised he packed all his belongings and ran away. I drove to the house of a girl he was dating and he wasn't there. I called him over 20 times no answer. The following day i travelled to the city where he was supposed to be renting a flat for one year with the N250K he took from me but no one had seen him around there for nearly one month.
I informed everyone i know to be on the look out for him, every week people tell me they saw him here and there but when i try to call him the number says switched off, i called my friend with SARS and told him to get him arrested. His search and hide and seek play took 5 months to finally get him in SARS custody as i was focused on my business.
We got him to open up and he finally admitted and showed evidences he invested the entire money in MMM. Is there a way to recover the money?
Please share your experience with this MMM

Amoyinoluwa24: A Nigerian man, Paulinus Okpere has called out for help for four children from the same parents born blind in Uromi, Edo state.
According to him, doctors conducted all tests on the children but were unable to diagnose the cause of their blindness, thereby advised them to seek the traditional means.
He said the Children were unable to cope in school as it was not designed for the visually impaired ones.
He wrote:
As promised, I travelled to Uromi this morning to see the children and their parents. I discovered that it was really true that they were born blind. According to the parents, they took the children to Otibhorkhai Hospital and Irrua Specialist where all test were concluded and nothing could be traced to the blindness.
The doctors later gave up on them and told them to resort to divine healing. The children were in Okpujie Primary school but could not cope due to their disability and again the school was not designed for the physically challenged. There are also no single school for the physically challenged in Uromi or environs.
The Children named Mercy 9, Meshach 16, Faith 18 and Grace 22 are the blind out of the six children Mr and Mrs Odion Peter have.
I presented to them the sum of N20,000 for family support and with a promise to come back after good Samaritans must have keyed into the mission to help these children and see that despite their disability, they can be educated and given an equal opportunity with their fellow youngsters out there.
Please feel free to support this heavily burdened family and join the #iCareFoundation mission to bring them succour and help.

Celebrities › Re: I Go Dye’s Mansion For Mum Valued At 5.4 Million Dollars by divinelove(m): 8:49am On May 21, 2017 |
HungerBAD: Since highly rated comedian I Go Dye unveiled the house he built for his mum last Sunday, curiosity has been set adrift in many quarters, with tongues wagging on the possible estimation of the value of the palatial edifice.
The Golden Eyes castle is situated at Amb. Francis Agoda Virgin Island, while the almost completed Royal Golden seal is seated at Amb Francis Agoda sugar land, both castles have attracted many viewers who are fascinated by its uniqueness.
However, Potpourri’s investigation has revealed just how much the mansions must have cost the comedian. According to an architect/ estate developer Wale Balogun ‘’one cannot presume knowledge of accurate sight alone’ but from the structural design and fortification of the castle in question here, both properties will be estimated to the tune of 5.4 million dollars.
Potpourri further learnt that both castles were contracted to a French company Monreve, which handled all the sculptural and concrete enforcement while Revamp Construction Company owned by the comedian, handled the building of the castfles.
“The Golden Eyes which was presented to his mum last Sunday has a unique customized golden sculptured face moulded in the image of his grand mum, Queen Agnes who nurtured him as a young kid,” Lilian Akpomene a close friend to the comedian told Potpourri.
“Indeed this edifice has a monumental standard, which will out live contemporary designs of today and a long time to come. If the essence of a home is just to sleep, I guess a home structurally built as a castle, as a gift to express gratitude for love, is really meant to reflect the true value of what mothers mean to the world,” she added.
