jdoss: It looks like Smile Has launched it's LTE Service in Ibadan. THeir prices can be found here:I know they will be the first to launch lte services in the country. however I will only give it a try if they offer their data sims for purchase. the prices are not different from others. no unlimited plans and coverage is still very limited. |
malikalhaj: whatsapp works quite well on Nexus 7, using it on my Nexus 10 alsoI play around with my galaxy tab, but don't go outside the play store with the nexus, at least for now. |

ciphoenix: Uhmmm, try "Messaging" on your phone. It's freeThanks but i need it for a tablet without "messaging capability" |
Anyone know of any application whether free or paid for sending text message to mobile phones in Nigeria. |
COMPAQ: Funny enough a colleague reported that for the last 4 to 5 days, she has suddenly started posted speeds as high as 10mbps to 12mbps. And she said she was getting regular speeds of like 800kbps to 1.5mbps just like a week ago, so maybe the upgrade is working. This is in pH by the way and I recall they advertised in the local radio here like a month ago that the upgrade had now reached our area.its not enough to make such claims give location in ph. |
zte and huawei both offer to swap their cabinets for mtn. |
W8 party countdown...you're invited. HTC ve announced their 8x and 8s. bigbrovar: I will try to refrain from turning this into a android vs wp debate. That's a topic for another day. All I will just say is. Specs does matter at the end of the day. If the first and second Gen wp hadn't had a hardware limitations and had shipped with powerful processing powers they would not have had problems updating and would have been eligible to run wp8. Even the iPhone often touted as the benchmark for fluidity even on lower spec hardware compared to Android saw the iPhone5 Shipping with a A6 processor based on cortex 15 which is generations ahead of anything running on any smartphone or tablet.. with a gb of ram this is the same iPhone said to only need a fraction of what android devices need to run like liquid yet apple is not taking any risk or pulling punches.Guess u must know so much about processors. Can you prove the statement in bold ![]() |
jdoss: @ukachimoFrom your review, what do you have to say? I know they using KA band, but dont find the prices impressive. |
texazzpete: Dumb'ass...the Desire V has practically the same hardware as the Galaxy S Duos. And possible more expensive.Unlike the tex i used to know. Guess u ve cooled off in the western world and ve a more objective approach. ![]() Thumbs up. |

skymaxnig: There is already fiber in Taraba if you dont know. Also there are Four international fiber carriers now live and active in nigeria with some others in the pipeline....email info@skymaxnig.net for more.It is not enough to say there's fiber in taraba, but from where to where is? |
There is great need for LTE in nigeria especially in the big 3 cities. Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja. It is true that the 3g network in nigeria is crappy but deploying LTE will have some advantages.........as we should expect an increase in connection speed even with a crappy LTE. The truth of the matter is that Nigeria telcos are very good at marketing what they dont know, and dont have, as far as i'm concerned there is no 4g network in this country...all the 4g jingles are marketing hype. As Lumiz said we need to develope fixed broadband and complement with mobile broadband, mobile broadband is expensive everywhere. For those in eko, expect a state-wide wifi coverage soon if all goes well. |
Chelsea Wins.... |
Chelsea seem to enjoy defending. 180 seconds left |
