I’m 29 years old, married to a wonderful man. Ever since I met my husband I never cheated on him till we got married. I got married three months after getting a job in a corporate organisation, and I’m still there.

I don’t know how it happened but one day I discovered I have fallen in love with one of my colleagues whom I have always been very close to.


Since discovering my feelings for him, I have kept the knowledge to myself, refusing to tell anybody. Yet I am always jealous of any woman I see close to him. So far I have been able to control my jealousy.


We exchange phone calls even though I do most of the callings. One Saturday I called him to enquire about his health. Later that day, I saw his missed call on my phone and tried returning his call but he didn’t pick my call immediately. When he eventually did, he said there was something he wanted to ask me but that he will do that on Monday when we see in the office. He eventually didn’t. So I made up my mind to call him after work to ask what he wanted to discuss with me.


I was very angry and made up my mind never to talk to him when he refused to pick my call. He eventually came back to talk to me. And when I got home I called to ask if I was in any way disturbing him. He said I wasn’t and demanded that we chat on our blackberry phones.


While we were chatting, he told me he desired a woman like me for a wife. I told him I didn’t have any friend I can recommend to him, I also added that I didn’t want any woman hurting him. He insisted I come clean with the truth; that he knows I can’t tolerate the thoughts of another woman in his life. Agatha, that is the truth. I love him and if there is another word stronger than love, it is what I feel for this man.


I was surprised he felt something for me; this made me to admit my feelings for him. He told me how much he loved and wanted me in his life. He invited me to his house I went and we played together but didn’t make love that night.


I felt like going back. I saw him twice after that because he is on his annual leave. But now he wants us to stop seeing each other. It is making me go crazy
the whole world might want to stone me to death but I want to be sincere here what I feel for him. You cannot imagine it. I know he feels the same way but he doesn’t want to see me anymore, and he avoids me. I don’t want to have sex with him but just to be close to him like a soul mate. I respect the fact that I’m married and seeing another man is not good before man and God. But please all I want is to be close to him.


I’m in pain right now and I’m going crazy and feel like ending it all.

What should I do? I love him so much and nobody can change that, but this is killing me. I need help before I go crazy. Please all I want is to be close to him, the love has been there for long and I never felt that way for anyone before now. I know people will call me names but please I don’t want to lose him. I belief we all have different background and we tense to live our life the way we want, but is a very nice thing staying on ur own at tender age cos it will make u to see other side of life and and some challenges which u will overcome easily while u are on ur own but if u are with ur parent, u wont even think of moving forward cos they are doing things for u.
throughout my primary and secondary school days i stay with my parent but after two years i move out from my parent after getting a job which earn me 5,000 per month  to scout with somebody and i vow that am not going to eat his food, and i put myself in someone that never gt parent shoes, and hear i am today surviving. it make me to take decision on my own i got part time program, did my National diploma and now doing my degree. but if am still with my parent i wont be able to achieve that cos my parent will want me to get full time admission where as they will not provide me the need to achieve that.

I was discussing this with some friend and decided to bring it to Nairaland
The question is why is it that in Nigeria we alway look at those that are rich as an achiever?
In my own view, i believe those that are rich just have the opportunity to be cos most of them do not work for it or deserve to be in the position where they are,
before Sanusi lamido came to open the secret of the like of Cecilia Ibru, Akingbola and others, Nigerians always see them as an achievers,
but what of those professors that never got the money, some Nigerians will never believe they achievers

What is ur own view on (1) who is an achieve
(2) is wealth an oppotunity or dignity
and those that with the money, is it a must to look onto them as the superior

i remember when i was staying with my gramma, we are many in number but only two of of will cook for others, in the morning, evening, fetch water from far distance, watch cloth clean the house and other things, after gaining from all the house work i did while i was with gramma, it still help me where i am today, cos many of the guys am staying with cannot cook, clean the house

i agree with what the poster said about university education
in Nigeria, let look it this way
lot of engineering students are working in the bank as cashiers
lot of computer science student are out seeking to work in an industries where they do not belong to and vise versa
so by this i believe going into the university is just to be more confidence and to have self esteem
ok in Nigeria what will a person that studied linguistics, or banking and finance, and lot more that does not relate to old field company be doing in company like chevron, shell, or any other oil producing coy, most company believe that no matter what u studied in school u will still av the idea of what they are doing as far as u will still be trained in the field.


my boss studied masscom while in school he end up being a GM in his own established logistics coy
but that does not mean those that does not go to school does not av what it take to be successful

As for me, i look older than my age, lot of people always add 2 to 3yrs to my age whenever i ask them to guess, even am facially older than my two elder sister.
i like it sometimes cos people always listen to me cos they believe i speak mature and do not talk anyhow.
at my place of work am the youngest but most of the elders that are older than me for maybe 6,7,8 years still bring matters to me whenever their is argument btw them

The girl may be one of the dull girl or she may need the money to do something else or she she was caught red handed by the lecturer during exam cheating.
for me i will advise u not to give her the money cos it is two side of a coins which may be true or false

Her parents de carry load put on her head and you want her to be dancing? Do you know the stress some "elder brothers/sisters" go through to train babies their parents had late? Some brothers/sisters sacrifice a lot to care for something they didn't create. For example, you are 21, your 55 years old pop has 8 kids which include 3 toddlers and still wants more kids.
