OP, one advise I can give is don't leave Canada for now. Try as much as you can to be visiting Nigeria anytime you can. Don't tell people in Nigeria about your intention to be coming home. The surprising thing people don't know about development...no developed society got to where she is by being divided. If there is no racial superiority/dominance, there is ethnic dominance. The level of development a country has today is based on the cultural characteristics of her dominant ethnic/racial group and how cohesive or divided the society is. It is why South Korea is far more developed than Malaysia or Chile is more developed than Brazil. The more divided a society is along ethnic/racial/religious lines, the poorer and less developed she becomes.

In summary, as long as Nigeria is divided - religiously and ethnically - she would never become developed or prosperous.

There are people in Nigeria here who have never touched dollar or pounds in their life ,but have higher standard of living that so many of their counter parts abroad.
