In equation,let unknown mins be 'm' and change all hrs to mins

600+m =720-2m-9
600+m =720-9-2m
600+m =711-2m(take like terms)
m+2m =711-600

m=111/3 =37

therefore 9 mins ago the time was 'twice 37mins' past 10
which is 11.14
and current time is 11.14+9mins =11.23am
