Hello scholar. Please I want to know if Commonwealth shared scholarships successful applicant list is out for 19/20 application. I didn't see any news about it from all the groups I registered with. Thanks.
It depends on the the school you applied for. Send a mail to the school you applied to if the result is out.

If you say you plan to stay in London when your school is in Birmingham then your visa will surely be refused.

Go to spareroom,co,uk to search for accommodation. Choose low price filters. You can get a conducive house share accommodation for £300 per month with all bills included. You can even get a not so conducive accommodation for £60 per month with only wifi included.

For example:

£60 per month accommodation: https://www.spareroom.co.uk/flatshare/flatshare_detail.pl?flatshare_id=15306113&search_id=984049935&city_id=&flatshare_type=offered&search_results=%2Fflatshare%2Findex.cgi%3F%26search_id%3D984049935%26offset%3D20%26sort_by%3Dprice_low_to_high&

How do one put my money in an £ card? Is it from Nigeria here or when one gets to the school
Follow mimilyrics advice but another suggestion is to obtain PTA to collect dollars or its currency equivalent at CBN rate before you travel. Do not use black market:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nigerianbanker.com/forex-requirement-for-personal-travel-allowance-and-in-nigeria/amp/

You can then use your Nigeria online banking account to pay your school fees through FX transfer.

Thanks for your reply if you/anyone has information about the following too
University of Bolton, university of west London, university of Winchester. University of Wolverhampton, university of west of England,
Do your research by yourself. Everything is written on the website.

You should be wary about the total tuition fee you will pay after your scholarship. Some courses and schools with tuition fee of £18,000 will offer £2000 scholarship. This is just to attract people who don't really know about the total tution cost. You end up pay £16000.

While some courses and schools will have a tuition of £12000 with no scholarship. This is better in relation to finance budget.

So don't just go about looking for a scholarship up and down without any idea of total tuition after deduction of scholarship. The module, as well as the total cost in relation to your objectives, is also important.

Jarus:
Hello guys

I'm interested in travelling to the UK 3rd week in August to spend like 10 days. I have one online exam I do (which I can do from anywhere) but from past experience I perform best when I totally leave Nigeria and "camp myself" in a hotel in the UK fully studying 7 days before the exam. I enjoy the study without any distraction. The only 3 times I scored distinction in the courses, this was what I do.

I returned in March shortly before the closure of airports after similar exercise (and I enjoyed the study).

I'm planning booking my flight this or next week but I'm scared of the new protocols which are still unclear. I don't want to go through any serious stress. Is there some guidance yet on whether flying from Lagos to the UK would have been fully operational by August and whether coronavirus test will be required before leaving Nigeria or when one arrives in the UK, and whether I have to self-isolate in the UK for 2 weeks upon arrival?

Any helpful development or guidance on these?

Thanks

UPDATE: I think I have found the answer here https://www.gov.uk/uk-border-control. The protocol is too demanding. Not sure it is worth is. Sad
You will be allowed to come into the hotel and you must not leave the hotel that you will stay for the first 14 days. Since your exam is online, then there is no problem. But the main issue is when coming back to Nigeria, when returning to Nigeria, you will be required to undergo
a self-funded Covid-19 PCR test not less than five (5) days before departure from the UK and must be confirmed negative. More info is given here: http://www.nigeriahc.org.uk/uploads/news/UpdateGuidlines.pdf

Why not go to an high class hotel in Lagos or Abuja with top tech internet facilities and limit your phone usage for ultimate concentration. There are many hotels of such. This is the best option.

You are right, I checked also and it clearly applies to people already in UK with expired visas unable to travel back to their destinations. However the OP can send an email to the email address stated in the post. You will get an acknowledgment but trust it takes time. I think its advisable to send an email.
Simply send an email to forward your travel within one month of your deadline as stated in your visa. However, note that short term travel holiday does not worth it as you have to be quarantined for 14 days. So it is better not to travel at all.

If you are in the UK, fill the form to extend your stay within July 31st. That is what hosey write up is about.

I beg to differ but I think that information on that website has to do with those already in the UK. Not those with visas yet to enter. Let me know if I’m wrong. Cause the information there says something different.

good evening, pls bros do you know whether Leeds Beckett university have January 2021 intake for Adult Nursing Bsc?.I write to them for enquiry, but I have not hear from them, pls help me find out I want to take an urgent decision. thanks
Your school offers January admission for BSc Adult Nursing. Ask your school if it will still run in Jan 2021 as things has changed due to COVID.

However, before you make any decision, wait till July. Nigeria visa offices are still closed so there is no need to make any decision in a worry.

They will also most likely give extension for visa applications.

Good luck.

Pay using Form A in any of the bank head office in Lagos or Abuja. This will enable you to pay based on CBN rate

Dont pay with debit card as your naira rate will be based on parallel market which is on the high side.

1. That is false, absolute false. Maybe the brilliant ones regarded tryout school as 3rd rate, hence you haven’t met them.

5. Your school is probably a 3rd or 4th rated school, that’s why you haven’t seen/met a lot of Professors. Someone attending Federal University, Dutsinma in Katsina is likely going to encounter fewer professors compared with someone attending University of Ife ( I learnt they have changed the name of Great Ife - I don’t know what the new name is).
You are right. Most UK or European student in Teeside university are 2.2 graduates.
The brilliant and intelligent ones are in top UK schools. School fees is virtually the same so they opt for the top schools.

To meet your professor, just email him.

Ageree with you. The person who raised this issue was asking if he can say during his visa interview that his accommodation plan after arriving in UK is to stay temporarily with his brother who lives at Moorgate. I advised him not to prolonged the matter. Is better for him to have the required London living cost in the account, get to London and can move to anywhere he wish to stay. We all know you can't arrive in UK, with no accommodation plans or evidence as a Tier 4 student
The person should just say I plan for university accommodation. It works 99.9 percent of time.

Saying you want to stay with your brother temporarily implies that the money in your account does not reflect your true situation and
you will most likely be rejected.

The allotted money in your bank account for 28 days indicate that you can cater your school fees, accommodation and living expenses all by yourself.

You also dont need to submit any accommodation evidence as this is not required for Tier 4 and Tier 4 dependant application.

No one cares about your accommodation in Tier 4 for you and your dependants. Just have the allotted money for 28 days and tell them you plan for university accommodation.

Dont submit any tenancy agreement or accommodation documents. This is not required for Tier 4 and Tier 4 dependant application.

Dont confuse Tier 4 with other UK visa application that requires accommodation evidence such as Tier 2, visitor visa, spouse visa e.t.c.

I don't think any interviewer will even make a positive decision with that. We all know that most countries source of income rely on foreigners spending. If a student living cost is £1200 monthly, his brother /relative trying to accommodate must be living in 2 bedroom flat if he is single with minimum salary of £40000 in London

Also for how long must the fund remain in one's account?
Just go for any Masters degree course to bring your dependants.

No one cares of your experience or background. That is the law.

If you want to switch to do MSc Nursing course if you have no background related to medical science or care,

Then go to the following university. They accept any first degree course for MSc Adult Nursing. The program is for 2 years.

Thanks for this write-up, but how does a fresh graduate get this experience?

Or, is it allowed in the UK for one to "volunteer" in an organisation related to his field of study even while still a student? If acceptable, will that count as an experience?
You can volunteer not necessarily in your field of study and it will count as experience.

You can get a job without experience if you have the skills and competences.

It should also be noted that Internship, Placement, Volunteerism and NYSC also counts as experience. So a graduate should have acquired experience.

IMPORTANT ADVICE ON SECURING EMPLOYMENT

No course you study will give you automatic job opportunity for PR. There is nothing like the best course to study. We only suggest you to seek shortage occupation list job because of the minimum financial earnings giving you more chance. However, this will not guarantee you any job.

People that are not even in shortage lists can even get full time job and resume immediately after their studies as there are numerous examples of these. What will enable you secure job in the UK for PR are your skills, competences and experience. These will enable you stand out.

For example, if there is only one position for Mechanical Engineering in an organisation and about three people reach the final interview stage. What will make you get the job is what you will add to the company that the other candidates might not add. If you have good programming and can apply machine learning and AI to improve your company, then you will most likely get the job as opposed to others who dont have those skills. Soft skills like good interpersonal and project management skills can also be the difference between success and failure.
