FatimaMK:Yes you are right about NITDA. It also happened for PRESSID too. Sorry about NITDA bro. I can't just imagine that feeling. |
iamjp87:Lol but anything can happen because there might be a new ruling party and government next year. That was one scholarship that was cancelled in the past when a new government came in. |
Liebermann:July all things being equal after Eid Adha. |
opani1:I mentioned it when I opened this thread that everyone should try and get admission upfront to avoid deferment to next year. Some people here don't even have international passport which is essential for admission and other scholarship opportunities. PTDF won't secure admission for you. However, visa, flight and living expenses will be actioned by PTDF. |
gozmoc8167:Yes. Any recognised membership with designated membership number. |
1b8m:Please, bro. It is enough now. Actually, our southern leaders are wicked and nimwits too. There is corruption in all regions. I will take any competent person to rule Nigeria irrespective of their tribe, religion or race to make our country better. One thing all Nigerian rich leaders and politicians have irrespective of their region, tribe and religion is unity, love and support for one another in any course they do. That is why most Nigerian rich leaders and politicians enforce their offspring to marry one another irrespective of their region, tribe and religion to retain and expand their wealth and power. They attend each other occasions and celebrations. They may be disguised at the surface but they love and help one another through their wealth and connection. APC and PDP are the same. The old leaders who formed Nigeria are still ruling us today with their offspring through these connections. We the poor masses should do the same and connect with one another irrespective of our tribe, region and religion. All this hatred we are all exhibiting here is their master plan. That is the only way they can still gain and retain power through this division. Nigeria will be better if tribalism and religious extremism can be eradicated. We the youths must not follow this ugly pattern for Nigeria's development. Let us now focus on PTDF. |
Liebermann:No problem bro. Take care. |
Liebermann:Thank you. I understand your pain due to the stereotype. |
Liebermann:I am actually from Southern Nigeria. We are all the same. Our past leaders and mentality has caused this hatred. You should love one another as we are all black. We have a mission to save Nigeria after acquiring wealth. |
DMainMan: |
Please you guys shouldn't argue on this again. You both might even win the scholarship and become the best of friends when you travel. Focus on the prize. Enough of these baseless arguments. I might have to tell Seun to lock this thread temporarily. As bright Nigerian youths, we are the only ones that can save the country when we acquire sufficient wealth. Let us change this tribalism mentality. We are black. We are all the same. |
DMainMan:With data analytics, we can see that Kano had the highest applicants while Taraba had the lowest applicants. About 70% of shortlisted candidates opted for UK while 30% opted for F/G/M. About 70% of candidates opted for MSc while 30% of candidates opted for PhD. The North Eastern zone had the highest applicants in both MSc and PhD. Good luck everyone. Another reason why there is greater competition this year than in previous years is due to the advent of virtual interviews and multiple centres. During my set, PhD candidates who participated in the interview were smaller compared to now because Abuja was the only centre of the interview and it was physical. The above factors alone had eliminated 50% of the applicants. All those residing abroad didn't partake due to the absence of virtual interviews. Moreso, those residing in Nigeria didn't want to travel to Abuja due to insecurity issues and distance. Only those who really need the scholarship travelled to Abuja and many people I met there got the scholarship as there were fewer candidates. However, now, the competition is high because those who were born and residing abroad permanently partook in these scholarships via virtual interviews. I even told someone to leave this opportunity to poor Nigerians who are striving to make things better for their families with this opportunity. This guy is a British citizen but has a Nigerian passport and did backdoor NYSC. He will most likely win the scholarship because his GCSE is A asterisk, First degree is First class and Masters is Distinction. Don't be surprised you will see many people with different accents in the Tower by August. It is very easy to get First Class and Distinction abroad than in Nigeria. I think this scholarship should be mandated for only Nigerians residing in Nigeria permanently so the poor who have no other means and are intelligent will benefit. The essence of PTDF scholarship is to develop Nigeria. Those living abroad permanently don't even know about Nigeria (only did NYSC through the backdoor for one week) and will never come back to develop Nigeria. Some of them even deny being Nigerians because of their newly acquired overseas passport but now what to benefit from the masses. PTDF should change this policy in the future. |
joviegghead:Please don't let us derail this thread about tribalism. There is competition in all respective states. I am thinking that recommendation from the panellists have the greatest factor of being successful due to the competition. Next month, the successful lists will be out and many people here will win it. There wont be any exception. |
Liebermann:Your name was not on the list? I hope nothing funny happens afterwards. Did you perform exceedingly well in your interview? |
LISTS OF ALL CANDIDATES SHORTLISTED FOR THE PTDF MSC AND PHD OVERSEAS SCHOLARSHIP INTERVIEW All candidates and respective states are listed. If your name is there and you didn't receive any invite, you can tell the authorities to schedule you for interview. Also, note that you are competing with only your states in each category i.e. successful candidates of United Kingdom and F/M/G candidates lists will be in a separate category. Some states have lesser competition than other states due to the number of shortlisted applicants. https://ptdf.gov.ng/selection-interview-exercise-for-shortlisted-candidates-for-the-2022-23-overseas-scholarship-scheme-oss-msc-and-ph-d-award/#iLightbox Good luck everyone.
