Trello:1. Long term: Use your money to get Canada Permanent residence. For Canadian permanent residence and citizens, it is very easy to obtain full scholarship including free stipends. 2. Short term: Apply for admission and scholarship in US schools. If you dont get full scholarship, you will probably get half tuition discount or full tuition discount. 3. If your reason is because you want to stay abroad, then go for one year MSc in UK in cheap school for September 2020 admission. When you finish, you are guaranteed 2 years Post Study Work Visa and follow up. 4. Dont waste your money to do PhD. Only do PhD if you are given scholarship and you have a clear career path in PhD as it does not guarantee work. There are many unemployed PhD as you are overqualified to most jobs. Academic tenured jobs are now scarce. |
Edicoco:Yes. |

DeeOneBangin:No one cares about the source. Just have the money for the timeframe. I think you are confusing tier 4 visa with visitor and spouse visa. You need to Google about tier 4 financial requirements. |
DeeOneBangin:1. Since you are bringing your dependant, I advise you to put your alloted money in your account. You can also put your dependant maintenance money in your account too if you wish. 2. No. What you need is to proof if your relationship is subsisting. That is marriage certificate, photos b4 marriage and after marriage, wedding pictures, whatsapp and facebook communications, photos with family. Evidence of living together, e.t.c |

Dolorsa:Nice one. |
Ola9292:No one exactly knows. Wait till July 2021 for official information from the government website. Global talent visa is out now officially https://www.gov.uk/global-talent |
Tobexin:The few big companies that require it usually ask for Full UK Driving Licence and not having a car. They will provide you a car. My focus is on big companies/high skilled jobs and not low skilled jobs. |
tounshow:Yes. He has a very good chance as IT is hot cake and he is skilled and experience. He can also work full time. He is also eligible to apply on his own for Tier 2 visa without your input. Tier 4 dependant can switch their visa to Tier 2 visa in the UK. Good luck. |
Tobexin:The cost of car in UK is not that expensive. What matters most is the recurring costs. You want to think of passing theory and driving test which is expensive. You also want to think of monthly insurance, annual or monthly road tax, car maintenance costs and annual MOT which is also expensive. You should have a good source of money to drive a car in UK. This is not Nigeria. Just focus on your MSc now and strive to apply to companies that sponsor Tier 2 job now. You can get job before you finish your studies. That should be your priority. This is just my advice. But if you have sufficient money of owning a car and recurring costs of car, then you can buy. Just wanted you to know |
UK POST BREXIT SETTLEMENT IMMIGRATION- MINIMUM OF 70 POINTS REQUIRED You must fulfill the 3 Mandatory components- Job approval from a Tier 2 sponsor, job at appropriate skilled level and English language proficiency. Anyone wanting to come to the UK to work must have a job offer with a salary threshold of £25,600 – though a salary “floor” of £20,480 will be acceptable if in shortage job lists. Those with PhD in STEM discipline will also be favoured. Note that if there is high competition, candidates with high scores will be invited to apply. So having 70 points those not guarantee acceptance. Check the below image for the breakdown. Source: https://amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/feb/18/uk-to-close-door-to-non-english-speakers-and-unskilled-workers Prospective UK scholars, shine your eyes and grab the opportunity. When you get work there then send money back home to Nigeria and empower your family. Dont ever forget Nigeria as the white will still class you as second citizen. Your investments and vitals should go back to Nigeria to boost our economy I came back after my MSc even though I got a job offer in the UK but turned it down so that I can add value in Nigeria. However, I didn't have a chance to apply my skills and experience despite being over qualified due to nepotism and man-know-man. I even offered to lecture part time to teach my software skills to students but the lecturers were scared of losing their jobs. There is no employment guaranteed in Nigeria when you come back. I thereafter got PhD scholarship and I dont think I will make the same mistake. Leave the little jobs in Nigeria to those who have not migrated and those who are still huzzling. Work and acquire all necessary skills and experience in the UK and return all your investment in Nigeria to boost Nigeria economy. At the long run, come back home to Nigeria and finally settle to empower the Nigeria youths with your capital to bring about the needed change to develop Nigeria. The government cannot save Nigeria. You and I, the capitalists, can. From DMAINMAN https://m.facebook.com/dmainmanfoundation https://dmainmanconsult.com/

gsk4reality:Nobody cares whether you are unemployed or self employed. No one cares about your salary. All these are for visitor visa. For student visa, you need to have the alloted amount for 28 days in your account or your parents must show the alloted amount for 28 days. Your parent must also write acknowledgement letter and show proof of relationship. I advise you to google tier 4 visa, tier 4 financial requirements for visa, tier 4 requirements for visa or read this thread to have full knowledge to enable you make informed decision. Take care. |
wiselong:1. There are job opportunities inside London and outside London. Cities like Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool have lots of job opportunities. Your choice of university should be about the competence and how suited the module is to your career. 2. Since you are bringing dependant, it should be noted that London is very expensive. The average two bed flat is London is about 1200 pounds while 2 bed flat in Birmingham cost you 600 pounds. This is 50 percent less. I repeat there are job opportunities outside and inside London. Dont choose course and schools because of petty student jobs. Choose schools and courses based on your career advancement. If you are interested in getting professional jobs and having permanent residency in UK, your focus should be on Tier 2 and post brexit immigration. Check my posts on page 568 about the two stuffs and how you can effectively plan on it. Take care. |
Jacknn:You are welcome |
blackbriar:Lol |
Ibuske:No issue. My wife used her father name as my dependant. Ensure you include your marriage cert, marriage pictures, courtship pictures, facebook or whatsapp messages, call logs, upkeep payment from spouse evidence e.t.c to proof that your relationship with your husband is subsisting. |
Jacknn:FOR PTDF (UK) To say the truth, most winners of these scholarships are First class and 2.1 holders. For PTDF, long before the introduction of interview, many 2.2 holders win it as it is just about passing exam. But now, there are strict criteria to follow as it is interview. The criteria tend to favour 2.1 and First class holders. In conclusion, for MSc, very few 2.2 holders win it. Those 2.2 winners usually have publications, excellent o level results and in a less competitive state. For PhD, higher number of 2.2 BSc holders win it as criteria tend to consider MSc grade, publications and PhD research proposal. FOR NEWZEALAND AND MALAYSIA Virtually all winners are 2.1 and First class holders FOR CHINA CSC GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP Considerable 2.2 BSc holders win it |
Folahanmi19:God bless you too. |
Geesucc:Yes if applying for Tier 4 or Tier 4 dependant visa. The alloted money must be in the account at least for the last 28 days and never below the allotted amount in the 28 days. |
SAMDEEA123:I have been to Derby. It is very dull but things are cheap. |
Duchess313:If you stay near the Visa Application Centre, I advise you to go and check. Sometimes those guys delay a lot. But if you live far that you will need to travel, then wait till you receive collection email. |
ijeshaoflondon:Yeah. It is true o. However, I think what helped him was other overwhelming evidence he showed. |
Spark2:Yes. You can apply directly. |
Folahanmi19:Yes Teeside university accept NECO C6 https://www.tees.ac.uk/sections/international/minimum_english_scores.cfm |
justwise:Oh. Never knew it is banned in your travel section but it is allowed in Education, Career and Job nairaland section for people to get awareness in job and scholarship. All the moderators cannot be all wrong and I have been posting the Facebook link since 2011. Educational awareness is not advertisement. Advertisement is for business to get money. I am not making any given money. I dont even have that given time. Facebook is not my personal website but for Mark Zuckerberg. If it is your policy of not posting scholarship information here, then that will be stopped. |
