What is the cause of their deaths?

Just 56 days ago, on the 27th July, 2025, newly elected Council Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and Councillors were inaugurated across Lagos State. Shockingly, within this short period, four of them— all women—have passed away.
1 . Oluwakemi Rufai, Councillor, Ward C, Ibeju-Lekki — died 13th August 2025 (17 days after inauguration).
2. Zainab Shotayo, Councillor, Ward C (Chief Whip), Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA — died 18th August 2025 (22 days after inauguration).
3. Princess Oluremi Nutayi Ajose, Vice Chairman, Badagry West LCDA — died 20th September 2025 (55 days after inauguration).
4. Basirat Oluwakemi Mayabikan, Councillor, Ward F, Shomolu — died 21st September 2025 (56 days after inauguration).

Four lives, cut short in less than two months; and all females!May their souls rest in peace…Amen

If State Assembly cannot probe the President (this powers lies with the NASS)...I don't think they can probe the administrator

The Rivers State house of Assembly has no power to probe the former Sole Administrator. It’s only the National Assembly that has an oversight authority over an administrator in an emergency rule situation and no one else.

This battle between military and boko haram was preventable. If Mohammed Yusuf was not killed, there wouldn't have been anytime like this.

At stopover, you don't have to leave the airport so no need to cross border control. Technically, he wasn't in America if you know how international flight works

These are the people who said the new tax bill will be disastrous yet they never read about the benefits of the tax bill and how it was made flexible and easy for Nigerians rather than having to pay multiple taxes.....

For better understanding, George Moghalu is the candidate backed by Peter Obi for the coming Anambra state governorship election. The bridge in question was completed and commissioned by Governor Fashola at the same time when Peter Obi was governor of Anambra state.

In 2023, Peter Obi used the picture of the same bridge for the cover page of his election manifesto. In 2025, his protege is using the same picture again for his governorship campaign. Not even a single picture of any legacy project done by Peter Obi while he was governor was found suitable to use for Moghalu’s campaign. They still had to come and steal the picture of a project in Lagos for their campaign.

There is also a bit of similarity between this Lekki-Ikoyi bridge and the ongoing Lagos-Calabar coastal highway. When the APC administration of Babatunde Fashola announced the award of the suspension bridge for about N29Billion that year, folks mostly from the south east made so much noise against the project. Several threads were opened on Nairaland to condemn the project just like they are doing to the coastal project now. However, they could barely wait for the bridge to be commissioned before they started using it to shoot films and documentaries. Now, both their messiah and his protege are using it to campaign in far away Anambra. By 2031 when the coastal highway is completed, don’t be surprised to see Peter Obi using it to campaign for his dead on arrival presidential ambition.

Yaradua wasn't so great, infact he was called baba go-slow. You know how people are praised when they die especially if they're honest and try to do good, that's where all these praises are coming from

Late Musa Yar’Adua was loved by Nigerians, I mean he was the only president that reduced the prices of goods and commodities for Nigerians to have a better living but there was an agenda behind all these.

Obasanjo wanted to use Late Musa Yar’Adua to pass the bill the return back to office to finish the 3rd term tenure just like how Donald Trump did for his 2nd term.. But Yar’adua sudden death couldn't allow Obasanjo accomplished his mission.

By the time Yar’Adua pass the 3rd term bill to the senate, nobody would have been able to stop him because we all could see he was doing a great job.

Tinubu as minister of Petroleum failed woefully and should be impeached for such a monumental fraud and waste

But still, I can't help but wonder: what's so addictive about smoking? And why do people still choose to smoke up on all the warnings and health risks?

Just the other day I came across an empty pack of cigarettes. Lo and behold, they've graduated from just writing "smokers are liable to die young" to know using graphic images of a severely cigarette-damaged lung. All this in a to dissuade people from smoking.

So, my question is, why do people still smoke when the disadvantages are so glaring?
